The upcoming Legion of the Damned are most wonderfully done models. I especially like the sergeant, which can easily be pressed into service as a Chaplain.
Also, haha, a marine holding his bolter left-handed. GW was really getting wacky here.

Lady Blodwynn The Horus Heresy novel Mechanicum deals with who and what guards the Void Dragon. Okay, thanks. I'll look into that, then. Or build the chapter's fluff in a different direction. Either way works. EDIT: Wait. That would be pre-Heresy/pre-Second Founding, amiright? idea

Derail: I have a question regarding a hypothetical new squad: Chaplin, Termie, Storm bolter. attached to: assault squad, all with thunder hammers/shields. Transport: Redeemer Land Raider Point sink, yes. money sink, yes. effective? debatable. but I am still considering it, as my current list lacks some real punch it needs. I feel re-rolling thunder hammer strikes will be superior to my assault squad, wqho seem to just be shot down on the turn they intend to assault. question My current list has trouble when it comes to assault, as my best assault unit is a command squad with captain all built for shooting.

Should work well as a "Break this s**t" kind of unit. They will draw fire like madmen, too, so hopefully you can get them around to do their jobs and use the distraction they cause to wreak havoc with whatever you take for troops with that mess.

Tac squads with one being plasmagun-multimelta, one meltagun-plasmacannon. both sarges with plasma pistols. both in rhinos. now that I think of it, my whole list is full of point sinking items, in a way. but I find they are not as sound when they are missing specific upgrades. perhaps I will redo my list and resubmit it to the list thread.

Lt. Brookman Also, haha, a marine holding his bolter left-handed. GW was really getting wacky here. 1st model ever to have a bolter on left-handed. :O Was about friggin time. mad Caleidah Should work well as a "Break this s**t" kind of unit. Indeed, had 3 matches so far with that combo on my deathwing termies and that alone will make them march throu several units. o.O"
Think what would happen if I would stick a apothecarion with Feel No Pain rule. :O It´s like having a Land Raider with Chrono´s on it, or worse, Land Raider with Death Company dreggy´s upgrade AND venerable rule.
The Horror! gonk

Maybe to the Inquisition (or at least parts of it), lefties are mutants. Then again, they have the whole "Left Hand against the Right" thing going on in that organization, so....

Okay so i have a 1500 point army list built, and its formed around a highly mobile task force, so i have about 170 points left to allocate, i'm thinking of deploying land speeders, but how effective are they? (i'm also considering a whirlwind)

170 is either two whirlwinds or two predator destructors (auto cannon & H.B.)
