*Bard's smile fades ever so slightly, but he continues to hold Maggie around the waist* Maggie? Is something wrong? Will's alright isn't he? He didn't reinjure his foot, I hope?

*The troubled look in her eyes intensifies at the mention of her son* Will's in- *she blinks as she catches his last question* His foot? *now she looks confused as well, and she shakes her head slowly* Nothing's happened te his foot . . .

*he sighs* Well that's a relief. I hope, at least, the book I gave him will keep him off his feet for a bit longer. I wish I could send him a game boy, but... *he winces at some remembered thought* ... bending the rules is going to get me in trouble if I keep it up.
*he kisses Maggie on the forehead and hugs her tightly* What's got you so worried, love? *he whispers*

*By this point Maggie's gone from confused to totally lost. What is he talking about? When did he give Will a book? She blushes again as he embraces her, even more at what he calls her - she's not at all used to this.* I . . . I . . . *She pulls away - she has to, to try and think clearly*
*She steps back, going over what he said to try and make sense of it. He asked what was worrying her, and that much, at least, she knows how to respond to* I . . . I spoke te Tavin about what he was trying te tell me before . . . the Seraphim is . . *but she halts again, and has to take a breath. This is all just a bit much for her*

*Maggie sighs heavily. Somebody must have told him what happened, then. She's almost a little relieved that she doesn't have to explain it again - or she would be, if she wasn't so intensely upset that it's there to explain in the first place* Nay . . . not yet.

*Bard places his hands on Maggie's shoulders* I know it's hard, but you have to believe that Will's safe for now. We staved him off before and we will again. No matter how hard he tries.
What's important is that Will not do anything rash. It makes our job harder.
*Bard runs his fingers through her hair* Is everything else well?

*Maggie hesitates, flushing once more, but she nods. Things haven't been going well in her time, but it's all a result of her constant fear of the Seraphim showing up. Even though it flusters her, the sensation of his hands on her hair is also soothing in a way, and his words are encouraging. She tries to focus on that, wanting to hang on to the belief that things will be alright somehow* Aye . . . everthing else in my time is as it should be . . .

:::Cora fades into the Brink mid-stride. Her face is very stiff, but of course it melts a bit when she realizes that she's 'off duty'. Immidiately she begins to search for objects with which to practice, but is distracted a by a couple objects she didn't expect:::
Oh! :::Oooooh...I've just walked into one of those moments haven't I? She tries not to think about Luke. She focuses instead of the new embarassment, and can't help but smile as she looks away:::
I believe I'm supposed to excuse myself at this point...Maggie...Bard.
