Nightsnow Nihilistic_Impact Snow, the training is in the history. Take Vercellius for example, in his history he learned how to fight with knives from a brother hood from a young age to serve as a body guard. His first assignment was to guard a cultist from whom he learned daemonology, that's how he got the shoggoth. From there he moved on and eventually he bound Ithaqua in a pact to his lord. ...Vercellius..... *moody atmosphere* That reminds me. I need to ask him out for a rematch... -Nod- As with my character, He learned how to fight mostly from Lucifer's uprising and by fighting alongside the Archangel Gabriel. Not only that, but most of the time people don't really care how your character got the powers- It only matters that he/she has them. Although, it makes you feel better about RPing with it'.. Since his powers are that much more plausible.

Maelthorn But where's the rest of the true? That your butt hole defies the laws of physics.

Nightsnow Binatica History is easy, second only to powers, and training is irrelevant. The name, however, is the only part that can't come naturally once you've got a character. Many of my characters were named willy-nilly right before I introduced them before the first time. If there is no training, then how the hell can a character have powers if he or she does not practice with it? Sure -- History can be based off from a concept or idea, like Nihilistic had pointed out, but.... There are other ways to gain powers besides training. Some characters can be built or created with powers, others can be imbued with them by factors entirely beyond their control. In any case, the reason for the acquisition of their powers is in the past and is part of history; there's no need to train seperately.

My guy's been alive for thousands of years, and he's not too strong. Strong enough to nearly kill Snow though...

It's not about training to have the powers that I'm differing in opinion -- It's training to keep and utilize the power as much as possible. Some practices like warm ups, to hone the skills.... ... .... ....Tsk. Never mind.
