 __________________________________________________ Rabbitkit The quiet and stoic kit of NightClan __________________________________ Life is tough but it's just enough
To hold back the tears until it's closing time[Rabbitkit looked at Hauntedheart for a moment, smiling slightly. He could ask now....perhaps. He cleared his throat.] "Hauntedheart, I've been thinking for awhile, and I was wondering-" [A voice booming through the clearing cut the tom off. He hissed slightly, standing up. He could talk about it later, perhaps. He coughed.] "Er, I'll talk to you later." [he meowed, somewhat happy that a meeting was being called. It gave him an excuse to not be around Shimmer.
Rabbitkit limped slowly out of the medicine cat den, disappointment flooding over him. He really didn't want to go to a Clan meeting. They always seemed so boring, and they made him get his hopes up too much. Seeing all of those kits become apprentices, he always had had a spark in his chest, one of hope, that he would be up there, being deemed a warrior apprentice. That was before he met that dog that one day, the one that tore up his paw. He sighed. He would never be a warrior. It was foolish to think that he would.] I survived, I'm still alive
But I'm getting close to the borderline

LAVENDERSTAR
[Lavenderstar blinked, her eyes burning into the threat before her. A low growl formed in her throat before she looked up at her Clan.] "Cats of NightClan, I have called you together for a few reasons. I must force myself to address the more serious matters first though," [she meowed in a strong voice. Coughing slightly, she continued.] "First of all, I would like to bring a dangerous matter to the attention of anyone who doesn't know yet." [She broke off into a slight fit of coughing. After a moment, she cleared her throat. Her fur burned though. How convincing.] "It has come to my attention that Brokensoul, or a part of him, rather, has become out of control. He has been attacking other Warriors, including myself, has almost successfully killed one apprentice, and has abused his own."
"He has not been attacking on his own will though. He has been posessed by something, something that has deemed itself 'Shadow'. It has taken advantage of Brokensoul's weak mind, and thrives on it." [she paused for a moment, allowing this information to sink in before continuing.] "I would like to take this time to spell out Brokensoul's punishment. He is not to be outside of camp without the accompaniment of at least two warriors. He will not attend Gatherings, he will not teach his apprentice, Pinepaw, alone, and he will be confined to the currently abandoned elders den, which will be guarded by one warrior at all times, done by shifts, most likely." [she finished. Her eyes narrowed, and she bent her head down, her eyes boring in to Brokensoul's with much menace.] "Do I make myself clear, Brokensoul? Shadow?" [she demanded.
Without waiting for a response, she continued, a smile crossing her face.] "Moving on to more happy affairs, it is time to award an apprentice for her hard work during these past moons. Vanillapaw, step foward." [she meowed, her happy mood coming back. It felt good to move on to happier topics. She always loved doing apprentice and warrior ceremonies. She waited quietly as she obliged. Nodding encouragingly, she cleared her throat.] "Your Warrior's ceremony has been delayed, but I am proud to say that now is your time to shine," [she purred happily. She continued.] "I would like to call upon my Warrior Ancestors to look down upon this apprentice. Despite her hardships with losing her mentor for awhile, she still trained in the ways of your code, and I commend her as a Warrior in return. Vanillapaw, do you promise to uphold the Warrior code and defend your own Clan before yourself, even at the cost of your life?" [she asked.]
[ooc:] Just to let y'all know, I might have to speed this up. We have a Gathering really soon. ^w^

[Songkit felt a little sting-before she started to speak, a clan meeting was assinged! Songkit decided to sit in front. She twitched as Adderkit walked out of the den.
She narrowed her eyes.]
WHAT?! Is he thinking that HE could catch prey?
HE HASNT BEEN OUTSIDE BEFORE.
Wait! I can go too!
[ Songkit ran outside and found herself in the back of the crowd. ]

LAVENDERSTAR
[Lavenderstar smiled, nodding encouragingly at the nervous she-cat.] "Then by the powers of StarClan, I grant you your Warrior name," she meowed. "From this moment on, you shall be known as Vanillafur. StarClan honors your courage and determination. We now accept you as a full warrior of NightClan," she meowed. With one bound, she landed in front of Vanillafur, resting her muzzle on the new warrior's shoulder in respect before standing back. She made her way back up the Shadowstone, clearing her throat once more. "Now, I believe there are a few kits that are in need of mentors. Adderkit, Shadowkit, Songkit, and Rabbitkit, step foward. She waited patiently as they did so. She smiled, looking up to the rest of the Clan once more. "This is a proud day in NightClan, for naming apprentices shows that our Clan remains strong. StarClan has blessed us with healthy kits eager to become apprentices."
"Now, Songkit, from this day foward, until you recieve your warrior name, your name shall be Songpaw. Willowheart, step foward please," she called out. She waited for the she-cat to step foward before she continued. "Willowheart, you will mentor Songpaw. I hope you pass on your cunning and determination to this young one." Without another word, she turned to Adderkit. "Adderkit, from this moment until you recieve your warrior name, you will be known as Adderpaw. Swansong will be your mentor. Shadowkit, from this moment on, you will be known as Shadowpaw, until you recieve your warrior name." She smiled to the kit, and then her eyes dwelled to Puresun. Lavenderstar's eyes lingered for a moment on her daughter before she called out. "Puresun will be your mentor. I hope she will pass on her excellent skills as a warrior on to you," she purred.
Lavenderstar looked at Rabbitkit at last. She smiled to the panicked looking kit. "From this moment, until you recieve your warrior name, you will be known as Rabbitpaw. I will be your ment-"
Wait! I don't want to be an apprentice!" Rabbitpaw interrupted, a panicked gaze crossing his face. Lavenderstar blinked for a moment, confused. Then her eyes softened. "Rabbitpaw, don't be scared. You should be excited. After you're an apprentice, you can be a warrior! You can't be a kit the rest of your life!" she murmured with a smile.
Rabbitpaw stared at Lavenderstar for a moment, an angry look shadowing his features. "No, I don't want to be a warrior apprentice!" he clarified. He snorted. What a moron! Of course I want to grow up! he thought angrily. He limped foward, sighing. "As a warrior, I won't be able to fulfill my task of protecting the Clan. I have a hard time walking as is." he sighed. A mixture of anger, pain, and sorrow crossed his face for a moment. "I would like to become Hauntedheart's apprentice, if she doesn't mind," he meowed. He silently hoped that Hauntedheart would accept him. The last thing he wanted was to become Lavenderstar's apprentice!
Lavenderstar nodded slightly, looking over at Hauntedheart. "Er, Hauntedheart? Did you know about this?" [she asked curiously. Why hadn't this been mentioned to her sooner? She thought for a moment though. Perhaps they still weren't on speaking terms.
Rabbitpaw cleared his throat once more.] "I was about to tell her, but then the meeting began," [he meowed. He turned, trying to make out her dark smoky colored pelt in the mix of cats. He was too short to see past the other apprentices in front of them though. He growled inwardly. He hated being short!
Lavenderstar blinked for a moment, looking down at Rabbitpaw again. She smiled slightly, and then looked back at Hauntedheart anxiously, worry clouding her gaze.] "Alright. As long as you both agree. Rabbitpaw, you will complete your ceremony at the Moonpool with your mentor, Hauntedheart, as all medecine cats before you have done. May StarClan guide your pawsteps," [she said softly.
Raising her head, she let out a soft sigh, and sadness seemed to well in her for a moment before she raised her head, confidently staring at her Clan. She was about to announce who was going to the gathering.]

[Songpaw couldn't help but cheer in the delightful-super-happy-excited mood she was in. ]
" IM SONGPAW! SONGPAW! "
[ Songpaw turned her head to Willowheart. ]
" And you're my mentor, Willowheart! "
[ Songpaw hopped up to Willowheart. ]
" What do I do now!?! "
[ Songpaw walked over to Adderpaw. ]
" Adder... Adderpaw! Were 'paws!' "
[ Songpaw let out a purr of joy. ]
" Were gonna be the best apprentices ever! And then well be great warriors! "
[ Songpaw knew that she was forgetting Shadowkit.
And then she forgot that she was still in the clan meeting, so she started to whisper. ]
Congrats Shadowkit!"

[I pricked my ears as Lavenderstar's yowl rang out through the camp. Rising to my paws, I slowly made my way over to the Shadowstone, taking my respectful place as deputy beside the dark stone. My amber eyes studied my Clanmates calmly as Lavenderstar announced the new apprentices. A shiver went through me as Shadowkit's name was called. Pushing away the thoughts that had formed fast, I forced a smile at Willowheart, silently congratulated her as the ceremonies weren't over yet. I switched my gaze to Brokensoul, glad our leader had finally taken some action the dark tom]

[I lifted my chin with pride, green eyes glowing. I had a new apprentice. Songpaw! Songpaw was my new apprentice! I knew the she-cat would make me, and the rest of the Clan, very proud. She was a promising cat. I leaned down to touch noses with her, customary in the Clans. I laughed quietly as her excitement got the best of her]
"Hush, little one. The ceremony isn't over yet, you should watch the rest of it"
[Straightening up, I raised my gaze to watch Lavenderstar, wondering what she would say next]

[I slowly padded out of the nursery, blinking in the bright sunlight. Yawning, I liesurely made my way over to the Shadowstone, sitting down a few mouse-lengths away from everyone else. As my mentor was named, I peered over at her, sizing up the she-cat. Puresun. Seems innocent enough. She wouldnt' dare pry, would she? No, probably not. Pushing myself to my paws, I padded over to the warrior, raising my muzzle, offering my nose. This was the way it was done, right? All the other apprentices were doing it. My golden eyes quickly raked over my new mentor, wondering what she was like. I barely knew the she-cat. Would we form that magical mentor-apprentice bond every warrior talked about? I sighed inwardly, resisting a snort of laughter. Oh well, at least I was finally an apprentice]

[I raised my head. Ceremonies? Ah well, it would be good to congratulate the lucky cats. I stepped forward, watching my mother. I noticed her cough and narrowed my eyes. She seemed...odd. Sicker. Was it possible? Well, it was only a cough. My mother was tough enough to fight it.
But my thoughts were interrupted as I heard my name being called. My heart skipped a beat. What? I thought, shocked. Excitement as well as guilt washed over me. I had just given birth to a secret and forbidden litter of kittens, and I was getting an apprentice? It just seemed strange.
I shook off the feeling and padded forward excitedly. I touched noses with my new apprentice, curiosity flickering through my hazel eyes. The young cat was somber, but healthy. There was something dark brooding in his eyes, and, as usual, my curiosity sparked within me.]
Purring, I murmured, "Nice to meet you, Shadowpaw. I trust we'll make a great pair."
[Stepping back, I watched the scene between Rabbitkit and Lavenderstar play out. I tilted my head curiously. It's about time we got a new medicine cat apprentice, I thought solemnly. Ever since Honeypaw disappeared...
My thoughts trailed off, and I felt grief for my lost friend. But he had left without returning, unlike me and Eaglesoar. There was a difference in that-a more shameful difference. But I still hoped he was well.
I was itching to start training my new apprentice right away, but I sat respectfully, waiting for the ceremony to finish whether or not Rabbitkit became medicine cat.]═══════════════════════ ...my belly is on fire
because some liar
told me he loved me
and I thought he was you.
Let me keep one thing near;

I'll be taking over Lavendy again for Ana otl <3 It's my choice however. We have to wait for Hauntedheart to respond so Rabbitkit can become med cat (tho I'm thinking of just editing it; med cat apprentices get normal appr ceremonies with the addition of their traveling to the moonpool to complete the ceremony! D: ) I think I'll do that, actually. BRB LOL

"Puresun, Willowheart, Eaglesoar, Lightsound, Starkcloud, Songpaw, and Adderpaw will accompany me to the gathering!" she declared. "Of course Foxfur and Hauntedheart will come. I'm afraid that with those injuries, Rabbitpaw, you'll have to stay home this moon."
Nodding to her Clan, she declared, "Let us go, NightClan! We shan't be the last one to the gathering-that spot is reserved for StormClan cats!"
[Letting out a yowl, she trotted towards the entrance to camp, easily swerving around the murshy land and towards the great lake, her eyes narrowed and determined.]

[I jumped to my feet excitedly as I realized I was going to a gathering. Finally! I was eager to see my friends from the other Clans- Thunderflight, Galestar, Serpentfang...my tail swooshed around in happiness, floofed out in my excitement.]
"Sorry, little one," I said to my apprentice comfortingly, "we will go together to the next gathering."
[I licked his head softly before turning and quickly running after my mother. For the first time, my feet no longer scuffled the ground-I was a fully grown cat now, and my legs were finally long enough to not drag against the ground. However, they were still stubby in the standards of normal cat-legs. This did not irk me; I was finally glad to not have to worry about 'scuttling' any longer!]

She bent her head down and wolfed down the rest of her meal. She gave Smokewhisker another smile before padding after the others and to the Gathering.]

[Hauntedheart sat silently through the ceremony and watched as each kit was made an apprentice. As Rabbitkit was called up, Hauntedheart let out a sigh and her eyes clouded. She had enjoyed having the kit in her den the past moon, though she had known it wasn't going to last. Besides, he had to prove to the clan that he could be a warrior and make everyone proud. As he spoke up, Hauntedheart's eyes widened and she gazed up at him. He wanted to become her apprentice? A small smile tugged at the corners of the medicine cat's mouth but she quickly hid it. Her eyes turned toward Lavenderstar, and the coldness reentered them. She looked at the leader coldly and glanced at Rabbitkit briefly.] "Of course I will mentor him. He's too good to be made your apprentice," [she mewed, hissing the last part. She had still not forgiven Lavenderstar for exiling Cinderwing. Speaking of the tom, she hadn't seen him since he had left, maybe she could go see him after making Rabbitkit her apprentice. Hauntedheart stood up and smiled softly at Rabbitkit before padding after the group of cats going to the Gathering. She'd have to take her apprentice next time, if Lavenderstar hadn't said he couldn't go, she would have taken him tonight, but even Huantedheart knew she could only push her leader so far.]

[Smokewhisker glanced toward Lavenderstar as she announced the Gathering and nodded. He glanced over at Lightsound ad smiled.] "Have a good time, and don't let those SeaClan cats mess with you," [he mewed and took one last bite from his prey. He hoped the Gathering would go smoothly tonight and nothing would happen. As the group for the Gathering left, Smokewhisker stood up and glanced around, wondering what he should do now.]
S i l e n t k i t
[Silentkit watched the group of kits become apprentices and sighed. The nursery was empty now, it was only her here now. Sighing, the crippled kit rested in her nest and stared outside at camp. She had grown these past few months and had gotten a lot stronger in her front legs, she could now make it around camp twice without having to rest. Her blue eyes watched as the cats left for the Gathering and she sighed, wondering what she should do now. She remembered that, earlier, a new kit had been brought it, though she hadn't seen her yet. Curious, Silentkit rose up and began to crawl toward the medicine cat's den, the last place she had saw the new kit go into. She stuck her head in, looking for the kit. At first, she didn't see anyone but then she saw a small shape in the den.] "Hi, I'm Silentkit, and you are?" [she asked the bengal kit curiously.]
