They do on mine, I think I'm running windows xp pro
If ther're not there try
mycomputer > whatever your C drive is called > program files
and look for a folder with the name of the update thing, there may be an uninstall progam in the folder. If not you could try to just delete the whole folder, but that may cause other problems.

The sure fire way to get rid of the update is to just drag your C drive to the recycle bin.
I do not recomend it though
