Knowledge leads to confidence, yes.
With knowledge, it eliminates that fear of the unknown and it allows us to act better (your point A).
Another point... uhm... Knowledge can lead to success, which leads to confidence? Like, you do well in school, go to a good college, learn about what you want to do, and then you become better and more confident with that whatever you chose. But that's also a lot like your first point. D:
