Lt. Brookman Lucky b*****d. What a view. Also, they still operate a relic such as the U2? Cripes. It still does a job that needs doing, and there aren't any planes that can make that kind of extraatmospheric flight that I know of. That high wing aspect ratio gets them tons of lift with minimal drag. Learning about this s**t and how it works is so damn cool.

Had a lovely candlelight dinner today. Boys, take notes if you want to score good points when doing something classy.
- we linked arms the entire way over
- picked a lovely quiet place with a cosy atmosphere
- helped me out of my coat and helped me sit down properly
- commented on how lovely I look
- helped me with ordering (no dutch for me)
- toasted with me on a good 2010
- pleasant light conversation that wasn't about the news, weather or the hobby
- allowed me to warm my feet
- took the bill for himself, refused to split
- helped me with my coat again
- we took a lovely, if chilly, stroll back home
