Dark was helping an elderly couple chop wood. He was splitting logs with his fists. He seemed to be full of energy. He splits a log with a heel drop before the couple stops him, saying they have enough wood. He smiles and comes back to join the group.
"Man I'm starving. What kind of meats do they sell around here?" He wanders off again to browse some stalls.

Maddy watched a blob that looked like Dark wander off.
"Has he stopped moving yet? He seems really on the ball..." She said to the blobs near her, who she assumed were Rei and Caleb.
"Lots of meat sounds good too, though. Make it a four-course meal. I can help carry stuff if you need more hands."

Allen chuckled at Rei's comment as he caught up with the others, and piped up when Maddy offered, "Me too, my hands are open for assistance." Maddy honestly wasn't looking too hot.

Caleb was looking over the fish. It was all about picking the freshest when it came to fish. His Marshtomp looked over the fish as well. When he reached a hand out to touch, the fish seller slapped his hand.
"Only touch if you're buying!" The man folded his arms.
"Right..." Caleb muttered. The Marshtomp stuck his tongue out at him.

Rei left the markets, pleased with his purchase. He figured Dark would pick some good meat , and that Caleb knew his fish.
"Allen, can you make sure Maddy doesn't bash against a wall or anything? Here, Maddy, you can hold the bag of vegetables."
When they arrived home, Rei placed his bags on the kitchen counter and began prep work.

Caleb's eyes narrowed. "Hey old man...how fresh is this fish?" he asked.
The man's eye twitched, "freshly caught and delivered this morning..."
"Doesn't look like it to me...and for how much you're charging...I'd say you're ripping people off."
The man cracked his knuckles. "What would you know about fish?"
"Enough to report you for scamming customers...." Caleb snapped, adjusting his glasses. He pointed out the dull gray eyes and scales. Then moved on to indicate other ways to point out how fresh the fish were. A small group had started to gather behind Caleb, somewhat interested in what he had to say.
"And these gi-" The man suddenly interrupted Caleb, handing him a somewhat heavy styrofoam tub.
"Kid...I'll give you these if you just leave..." the man whispered to him. Caleb opened the container, looking over the contents. Now those were some fresh fish. Caleb nodded.
"Nice doing business with you old man..." Caleb answered, turning and heading back to the house with his Marshtomp. Meanwhile, the fish seller had a bit of explaining to do to the gathered crowd.

Maddy placed the vegetables on the counter next to where she heard Rei place his bags, errr... blobs. She let out an exasperated sigh and reached into her handbag. Taking out a large handkerchief, she tied it around her head like a blindfold.
"There. No stupid blobs."

Dark enters the house with a small plastic bag in his hands. He walks over to the counter and takes out a small package and places it in the freezer. He could feel everyone's eyes on him like he was supposed to have something important.
Brick walks into the house carrying a deep freezer. He drops it in the middle of the room and walks off.
Inside the freezer is about a years worth of meats. A large variety of it too.

Caleb came in the house with the styrofoam tub and set it down on the counter. He lifted the lid to reveal a variety of fish. There was a bunch of scallops, shrimp and even a couple of crabs as well.
Caleb made room in the freezer while his Marshtomp passed him stuff to put away.

Rei stared wide-eyed in disbelief at the mountain of meat and fish.
"Well, I think we're set for, well, a while. Thanks, guys." He turned on the stove and ovens and immediately went to work.
"Caleb, when you're done, can you butterfly the shrimp? Or someone else, if you're too busy. Countess, wash your feet and get that slab of steak, will you? Thanks." He set water to boil and tossed potatoes in, then drizzled some vegetables with olive oil and began sautéing them.
He was soon very busy with cooking. The Countess hovered over to the cabinets and looked in.
A deep fryer.
She did her best to pull it out, but it proved difficult.

Maddy flailed around aimlessly, trying to help in whatever way possible. Without her eyes though, she really was useless. At least seeing all black was less frustrating than blobs.
"Am I doing anything right?!"
She grabbed a hold of something slimy and tossed it, hearing it smack against the wall.

Caleb put the shrimp in a strainer and placed it in the sink to wash before he noticed a certain Zubat was having trouble. He moved over and helped her put the deep fryer down on the counter.
He moved back to his station at the sink and started cleaning the shrimp. It was a messy task. He left the finished shrimp to soak in cold water when he was finished.
"Now wha-" Maddy's frustrated tone and hearing something smack against the wall made him jump.

After a while, the food was finally finished. A grand feast was displayed before the group. Heaps of cooked meat lay on a platter, steam rising from the heat. Fish prepared in different ways sat on another dish, with crab legs poking out. A plate of melted butter and lemon wedges sat nearby. Fresh loaves of bread wrapped in cloth peeked out from a basket, and serving bowls of pasta were placed periodically on the crowded table. Dessert was towards the end of the table, a heavily laden, tiered display platter holding cakes, brownies, a cheesecake and a key lime pie, and at the base, a bowl of cookies and cream ice cream, periodically chilled by Cryogonal. He was happy to assist, and was responsible for the table setup and makeshift decorations.
Rei wiped the sweat from his brow. "Well, food's ready. I'm sure everyone will find something they like. Let the Countess or Cryogonal know if you need more food; there's more where this came from." With that, he helped Maddy to her seat before seating himself.

Caleb wasn't going to just sit around and let the food get cold. He loaded up his plate and dug right in. It'd been a while since he'd had such a meal. Noticing his Marshtomp practically drooling on the edge of the table, Caleb sighed and handed him a loaf of bread. The Marshtomp gratefully accepted it, chowing down.

Rei chomped down on his orange, having sampled everything else while cooking and baking. Nothing like some fruit. He offered a slice to his Zubat, but she was busy sucking on some grapes.
"Hm. I should probably save some of this food for the rest of my team," he said between bites. He thought about the group, and almost jumped out of his seat in sudden realization.
"Oh crap. Leviathan's gonna kill me. I told her she was going to evolve today!" He looked outside through the dining room window. The sun had long disappeared from the sky, and the moon was shining down on Kalos. Rei winced. He knew he was going to receive more than just a blast in the face by his Seadra for forgetting.
