[Matthew :-: Atlantica :-: Battlefield]

Matt couldn't help but stare in sheer awe by the sidelines at the trio's destructive spell. He was unaware of what they were going through mentally, so he assumed that the post-casting huddle they were having had only to do with Kyle being in pain from putting his all into the tornado.

He was snapped out of his reverie by Joe calling out through the charms. 'This is Matt, I'm a-ok and ready to help either way, you just make the call,' he replied. While he wanted to help with Joe and the others, he was aware his skill with potions may be of more use acting as afield medic.

Noelle frowned at Kyle's response. Just ignore it, it'll go away, keep it a secret, it's not a big deal. She looked away and dug her fingers into the sand, not knowing what to say. It was hard not to be frustrated. Kyle needed to stop pushing along and deal with what so very recently tried to overtake him. But at the same time, they needed to get to Atlantis to go find Kyla. That girl had better be prepared, because she was going to get an ear-full from Noelle when they got to her.

"Whatever." Noelle said finally, getting up and turning to swim for the castle without looking at him again.

Noelle slowed, and then stopped suddenly, shoulders hanging low. It was hard to process what she was thinking, and especially what she was feeling. What she saw of Kyle's memories from the drive just made her want to help him more, but she didn't know that she could. Or that any one of them could. She feared just being there to support him wasn't going to be enough. He might fall regardless of how hard they fought for him. To lose another member of their group would be unbearable. Kyle and herself may not have been very close, but even so he was still one of their own. Losing Rae was hard enough--to her own Replica, and furthermore, her own weaknesses--and if Kyle went too, she'd know it was because she couldn't do enough.

'Human, I understand this is hard, but now is not the time to stop. You must push onward. Kyle is right, focus on--'

'Leave me alone.' She cried, bringing her hands up to her face and pressing them over her eyes. 'Just leave me alone.'

Kyle was left stunned after watching the spell finish. The amount of magic that must have gone in it was probably astronomical. He shook his head and stared at the destruction. Only rocks and sand left.

I'm good for cleanup and going after Kyla. All I can offer in healing is kissing booboos and silly childhood sayings. He wondered what Joe meant by cleanup duty though. Were there really any enemies left? Aside from the ones in the castle apparently. He couldn't see any, but there might be some left. And...Ah. I suppose I should mention this as it might be slightly important. My Replica might be out there. Just a little FYI to be careful and stuff. I don't think he'd stick around for the tornado of enemy bashing, but ya know. Knowledge is power. He finished with a shrug, not quite remembering that nobody would see it.

'Ten-four Big Jojo, I got you covered,' Matt replied. He propelled himself towards his friend, going over what spells he had access to mentally. His repertoire of Blue Magic alone would help a great deal for covering ranged combat he felt. 'Hey Dave,we got any good group-support Mixes?' he asked his summon.

'Let's see... You can mix an Arctic Wind with one of those Potions or Ethers you have. It'll spread the effect, but won't restore as much. Eye-Drops, Holy Water, Maiden's Kiss and Antidote can be mixed to remove just about any ailment. There's also quite a few mixes that'll "buff" someone as you would put it. I'll shout one of them at you when they come up as needed.'

'...Do you have to shout?'

'Yes.'

Matt sighed to himself just as he reached Joe, and kept pace with him. "Ready when you are."

Bobbi was a little hesitant about teaming up with Kyle again after what had happened, but she shrugged it off. Now wasn't the time to be squeamish just because something went wrong and she had no idea whose fault it was. She was halfway through a salute before she realized that Joe wasn't anywhere he'd be able to see it.

:Oui, mon capitan,: she said instead, and checked her quiver to see how many Ethers she had left as she headed out to rendezvous with Joe and the others. She was pretty sure she'd used both of them already, but she wanted to be sure...

She had.

...crap.

:Anywhere we can resupply?: she asked, slinging the quiver back into place as she swam. :I'm fresh outta Ethers.:

[Anthony/Lucian ~.~ Black Pearl]

Anthony suddenly gasped for air as he felt his wounds heal and his energy return. He had taken a beating from his replica, but Dawn's healing spell quickly took effect. Before he knew it, he was back on his feet; however, there was no time to waste as the deck was flooded with foes.

It was shortly after the warrior-knight had begun his barrage on the Heartless did he hear Dawn's message over the charms, followed by a ghastly howl. "Dawn!" That's when he realized the deck was now crawling with geists.

Upon hearing Garuda, the young man slammed his gauntlets onto the wooden deck of the ship, releasing a powerful wave and knocking back the enemies surround him. At the same time, he smashed through the deck and into the cargo hold, landing in front of Dawn.

Anthony quickly launched one of his spears at the Banshee, pulling it into his lightning charged fist. The Banshee flew back into the Shadow, causing the two to tumble into a wall. Finally, he slams both his gauntlets onto the floor, releasing a chain of lighting directed at the two enemies, frying them to oblivion.

The young man turned around and knelt beside Dawn, then asked, "Are you alright?"

In the meantime, Lucian played it cool. With Kuro Oni now gone and Kuja floating about, the Replica would be crazy to openly attack the crew and the earthlings; however, he wasn't about to lay off either... He made his way below deck, knocking back anything that stood in his way, and chased Axel down the stairs. He fired off one of his spears, cutting off the Nobody's path with the chain attached to the spear.

"Woah, woah, woah...," said the Replica, "where's the fire?" He giggle-snorted. "See what I did there? 'Where's the fire?' You're a fire-based character. Get it?"

Joe, it seemed, was all-work, hyperfocused. Normally, Kyle would be the same, but right now...

His shoulders slumped as Joe and Mathy swam on. It seemed Bobbi would be joining, as well. He looked to Noelle, his expression as pensive as he could muster. He reached out to touch her shoulder, but upon glancing at the wrappings on his arm, pulled back.

"Noelle, we should really..." he tried, not wanting to move while simultaneously itching to get going. He was just so... "I know you're stressed, but... Kyla..."

He looked back toward the spire. There was still so much left to do. Ajora was down there, as was Mateus in some form or other, and Alice with Cu was probably with him as well. And if those two had joined him, Ajora had probably managed to grab Chaos as well.

Is that your plan? Reunite the Lucavi?

He glanced back to Noelle before dropping his gaze to the ground. "We really need to go, Noelle. Kyla's in trouble."

Despite her potions, Kyle was getting tired.
