Samuel continued to walk through the snow, thinking about how much further he had to go when he felt something warm wrap around him. He stopped and blinked before looking down to see Yuki's arms around him. He blinked again and turned his head to look at her, about to say something to her with a concerned look on his face but he stopped, his eyes widening at her words. Sam began to tremble, only this time not from the cold. He turned his head forward again and moved one of his hands to cover his face to keep Yuki from seeing that he was crying. "Y-you're i-in no c-condition t-to be w-walking a-around l-like th-this.." he said quietly with a weak voice. "A-and...I-I don't c-care wh-what she does t-to m-me. Sh-she can s-scream a-and yell wh-while beating m-me bloody, b-but..I-I love M-mom too m-much to j-just r-run away f-from her.." he said quietly as he turned around to wrap his slender arms around Yuki for fear that she was getting cold.

Yuki stopped crying for a moment when he wrapped his arms around her. Something warm and wet landed on the side of her face. She looked up only to see that Sam was crying. She reached her hand up and wipped some of the tears from his face. "Sam....", she sniffled. "It's ok to cry, but when your mom, your flesh and blood, abuses you like that. I just can't sit around and hope for the best. From here on in, it's gonna get harder and harder. Especially now that your mom knows that you have a friend who is a girl. Most mothers get the wrong impression, and I was hoping you like me the same way, I admit, but, for a mother to beat her son like that, for being in the hospital, let alone for a girl that she didn't know, is kinda bad. You saw how dipressed I was earlyer. Do you know why I'm like that?Because all I did last year was sit around waiting for my dad to get home, just so he could whip me and get it over with. It hurt so much, that I ran away to find my mother. When I found her, she was under dirt in a casket, and I didn't know about this. So I sat in a graveyard, sleeping in a tent. Sure, I had almost one hundred thousand dollors with me, but I spent it on moving here and getting living supplies.".She started to cry again as she held him tighter, hoping he would never let go. "I don't want to see you go throught that. Never. I don't even want to let you go in fear that it will get worse." she said.

"I want you to come home with me. To start over, like having a new life. Please Sam. I don;t want you to die. If you keep this up, you surly willin no time at all." she was beging to beg. She was that desperate for him to stay heathy and not have to put up with that stuff.

She felt him shiver and looked up at him. She took a step back and took off her shirt. ((It's big enough to fit him x.x )) She was now wearing bandages up and down her torso, thus she wasn't naked in front of Sam. She gave him her shirt. It was clean of blood because the hospital gave it to her from the shop. "I don't want you to get hurt. I won't go back unless you stick up for yourself and stop the abuse your mother has brought upon you. I'm not going to do anything for myself unless you run away from that. Never!" she was now dead serious. Some of the scars from the lashes her father had once given her were showing. They were across her shoulders and collar bone. Not a hint of regret in anything she just did was in her eyes nor her voice. "Please Sam. I don't want to have to kill us both. If I die, I know how you're going to react. And I don't find it amusing to do this to anyone, let alone you, but if this is how low I need to sink, just so you can be better and not have to live like this I will." a car passed by.

"No Sam!" she didn't relize how angry she had gotten over this. "None of the police know you're being abused. If they find out, your mother will go to jail, and then you could still live with your father and brother. You have choices. Tell on her, or I will, Sam.I don't like hurting others. I don't care if you hate me for doing this, but I will tell them if you don't." she was yelling nd crying at the same time, but she didn't really notice. Her face was too cold to feel the tears.

"NO! I'm not putting on the hoody! Not until Sam tells the police!"
Sam's mother heard the commotion and walked up to them. She stopped next to Sam.

Sam had his hands over his face, keeping in the sobs that were threatening to tear from his throat. When his mother came he crumpled a little, putting his arms over his head to keep her from seeing his face.

"Wh-what's going on?" she asked, trembling a bit as she looked wide-eyed at the people and clutched to her purse. Had she heard something about the police? Why was someone calling the police? Confusion was plain on the young woman's face.

The wide-eyed woman looked from Sam to Yuki to Cattra, trembling slightly before she quickly turned around and stiffly began walking off through the snow, leaving them be.

Sam sunk to the ground, sitting on his knees with his face in his hands: what was he to do? He loved his mother..he didn't want to do anything more to hurt her, and he certainly didn't want Yuki doing anything rash or drastic.
