((( ^^ hey im back lol im not busy ill be on all night!!!)))
EX-Witch Hunter Gwendar:
he hadnt been around women much but her knew when a women wanted to gossip with her friend.
so he went back and TRYED to talk to this Togan boy.
the boy wouldnt say a word.
so he decided to make conversation himself about the only thing he knew about for sure.
"so do you know how to fight?"
Togan:
what the hell is wrong with everyone.
this guy has tryed to kill us Twice. and now hes Nebrides boyfriend?
i dont care i dont like him he thought
"no not really" he said
"you still an emperor Dog?" he asked abruptly.
Gwendar:
he could tell when he wasnt wanted.
and the question rattled him a bit.
"boy i consider everything i do a service to him"
he didnt know whether he truly believed it or not but he had spent so long saying it he felt like it was apart of him.
Togan:
"bah. you know its that same damb emperor who drives men to there deaths in the war."
Gwendar:
"would you prefer the men stay at home and have the daemons march onto there doorsteps?"
they were arguing now. he may not be a witch hunter anymore but he has heard the emperors work.
"the emperor is a good man blessed by harmony herself"
Togan:
"hes a political tyrant....he may have a few good things but that doesnt change the fact he forces entire towns to go on the run to escape certain doom."
Gwendar:
"maybe if the men of your town wernt such cowards we would have won the war by now!!"
the last statement was harsh. he knew he had lost his temper.
Togan:
he was shocked. he wasnt expecting that at all.
"what they need to do is place a true hero on the thrown....someone who cares about the people" he said coldly.
Gwendar:
it was then he realised how foolish Togan was.
"you realize that the emperor we have today is also the master Paladan
by decree he promised to serve the god harmony and her people. there arnt many heroes who can say they forged an empire out of a few towns."
he knew almost everything about the emperor it was required.
Togan:
"Not many heroes creates orders like the witch hunters either"
he said walking ahead he had had enough.
Gwendar:
he stopped and hung his head.
he knew that some of the things the Witch hunters did was rong. but surely they must do some good.
he remembered back to several occurances when the heretic he burned could have been innocent. should he have given them the benefit of the doubt. what if he was wrong.
if so he was a monster.

i looked up to the front. "sorry nebride, but it seems i'll have to cut this conversation short." i quickend my pace so i was directly behind togan and gwendar. reaching my hands between them, i pushed them aside and walked in the middle.
"stop fighting you two. it's bad for your emotional state" i noticed that togan was kind of glaring at gwendar so i turned his head back to the road in front of him.

Nebride quickly followed Gren and grasped Gwendar's arm. She could sense that he was upset and sad. "Gwendar, what's wrong?" When he didn't answer her eyes narrowed. She let go of his arm and walked in front of the group making them come to a complete stop.
"Now you to listen to me! You are going to have to learn to get along! It's the only way we're going to survive this!"
She turned her eyes to Togan. "First of all--you just need to chill. People change--sometimes for the better and sometimes for the worse. Gwendar is one of the few who has changed for the better." Next she turned her attention to Gwendar. "And you! You need to stop defending the emperor! Stop trying to make excuses for his actions when you know they are wrong!"
The two just looked at Nebride with surprise. Nebride threw her hands up in disgust and began to walk away. "Men," she exclaimed.

"THE EMPEROR IS A GOOD MAN." he yelled
"Yes some of the things he has done were mistakes. i see now that he should have never allowed the witch hunters this kind of power........but it wernt for him wed all be dead by now"
he had been trained to love the emperor. However his training meant nothing to him.
he knew the emperor wasnt perfect. but he had done alot of good. and any evils he may have done were nothing compared to the good he has done.
"U think hes a evil man. just over what u hear.........the true emperor is busy battling daemons in the north. (sigh) no wonder the witch hunters kept it hidden.........i see now what they are doing.......there trying to get a witch hunter in line for the next emperor.

"yes fine" he said
he obviously didnt mean it.
hes even preaching about the emperor now
he just kept walking.
he wasnt going to argue any more because gren had asked him not too.

Nebride shook her head and wrapped her arms around herself. She waited until Gren and Togan had passed before she spoke to Gwendar. "You think the emperor is a good man? I've seen what kind of man he is. It is because of him that my parents are dead and my tribe had to relocate to a more hidden place."
She held her hand up as Gwendar began to protest. "I know, because he was there. Our tribe has never really been the fighting type. We were peaceful--we had no quarrel with anybody. Then he came. He was with others and just because my parents wouldn't allow anyone into our tribe with their weapons or anything---they were killed. Luckily magics went up around our home and kept us safe from anybody trying to get it. Me, Eleclyo and Jeroviah did all we could to get everyone away safely."

he was shocked.
he knew that the emperor had done such things before. but he never thought that Nebride may have been involved.
"im so sorry Nebride"
"i dont condone what hes has done to you......and it was wrong what he did"
he chose his words carefully
"but you are asking me to condemn a man who is not only saving humanity from the daemons but has created a peace that hasnt existed for at least 200 years."
"he may have done some bad things.....terrible things.....but he has also done great great things"
a thought occured to him.
Why would the emperor want such a small peace of land anyway.
"where was your village?" he asked
all he knew about shadow elf villages were that they tended to either be in high places, forests or easily hidden places.
most of the land the emperor took were the forests.
mainly to cut them down to use for the war effort.
the higher places were usually formed into forts
as for the hidden villages.
we only ever found a few. but that had been the work of the witch hunters

"I do not hate the emperor, Gwendar, and I would not ask you to condemn him. It's just that I feel no love for him or his witch hunters. I can relate with those who do hate him though. It's because of them that we lost our home!" Nebride sighed, going back in time.
"It was beautiful Gwendar. Our home was truly a treasure. We lived deep in the forest surrounded by so many different types of trees. I don't know most of them in your tongue---there was this lake. It was crystal clear and so beautiful. It had a special effect. It was like our power was magnified anytime we drank from it or even let it run over our skin."
Nebride tilted her head towards the sky, eyes closed. "I still go there every once in a while---although at night. Always at night. It's easy to keep to the shadows and to the dark."

but in a way it started to make sense
if the lake had those properties then the emperor would definably want to controle such a resource
"your family was killed over greed.....and im sorry for what weve done"
he personally didnt do it. but his people had and for that he apologized

Nebride smiled and chuckled softly. "You know what? I think I know why the emperor hates us shadow elves so much. Nobody but us knows how to work the properties of that lake. So, without us---it's just a normal lake. He must be so frusterated. And not any shadow elves can make the lake magicks work. Only the people of my tribe have ever figured out how to use them."

Nebride looked over at Gren. "Back checking up on us already huh? Yes--I wish you could have seen my home too. You definitly would have liked it. Who knows, maybe when this is all over I will take you there. It will have to be under the cover of darkness, of course, but you'll be able to see it. I'll make sure of it."

he may be excluded from the witch hunters but he knew many of there secrets.
"even if it means finding the emperor himself.......surely he will understand"
he could not believe that the emperor could be so greedy.
it didnt make sense that a grand paladin would behave in such a way.
paladins by holy law must preserve the ideals placed down by there god.
he started to think about the possible reasons behind it.
perhaps the daemons were going to try and take it?
perhaps he was injured and needed its power?
but then why would they harm people.
none of it made sense to him.

togan said.
he had enough of sitting in the background
he had also realized that gren had planned to go and live with Nebride.
this made his heart hurt. he was angry at this especially over how he wasn't even told.
"im going to back to town......i need a drink" he said turning around and storming off clearly angry.

(((^^ ok people prepare to meet THE BAD GUY. he is Lord Valco.
he is a major political power in the witch hunters although he is not one.
he is very very powerful. ^^ this guy is actually in my book series too.
he is basically the corrupt tyrant sort of guy. he was ounce a Grand Sorceror of the mages tower and was also part of the emperor's famous red ring guard. to put it simply this guy in my book managed to consume 40 soldiers in flame with a flick of his wrist ^^. if u would like more history on this guy or even some of the things hes done in the book just pm me and ask ^^)))

hmmm i dont know whats more interesting the fact the witch hunters asked this favor of me............or that a witch hunter gave up his faith for an elf.
he thought
he was watching them using one of the many arcane items he was given by the witch hunters.
i must admit i have picked a rather lucky find. this elf seems to be one of those who lived near the soul lake. he said with a laugh'
i cant be bothered remembering what they called it. i even managed to convince the emperor that it was a great threat.
"Morto vala grenda" he said in a dark tone
the magic spying glass dissapeared before him.
"PEON!!" he shouted as one of his many servants ran toward him (peon is like another word for slave or peasant)
"get me that girl i saw in the yard yesterday i feel frisky" he said with a laugh
clearly the man didnt move fast enough because he soon received a large kick in the stomach which sent him three meters across the room
"NOW U WRETCH!"
