She gave him a dirty look and growled. "Who said I wanted to kill you? I only want to get away from you. Fyre would throw a fit if I even tried to kill you." She looked down and her eyes turned blue. "And besides, I was created to only kill her enemies."

Rayne reluctantly brought Fyre to the surface. Her eyes rolled back, only showing the whites. She brought her hands up to her sides, then they dropped down and her eyes returned to red. "Ash?" a voice said quietly.

Fyre weakly smiled. "I'll try." She opened her eyes and looked at him. "I need some time alone... I'm gonna go to the rooftop and have a smoke."
