"And look this!" Skye grinned, dropping her book and putting her hands up in front of her face. "Lore teach Skye talk with hands!"
And she made the signs for some of the letters of the alphabet.

"Very good," Tris nodded slowly.
Though they didn't mean anything to her, since she didn't really know sign language. Though she had a feeling she was going to have to learn.

Skye grinned and lowered her hands, then took her book back and closed it, returning it to her bag.
"Can Skye go see Lore again?" she asked cautiously.

"If you want," Tris replied, "Do you have anything to do? Like things to colour with or read?"
Since she had a feeling that Lore would still be busy.

Skye held up her journal. "Skye want practice," she told Tristan, nodding. "Skye like sit with Lore, Skye not be bother."
She knew Lore had his own work to do, she just liked being with him. She liked being with Tristan too, but she was kind of tired at the moment.

"Okay then," Tris replied, "Let's go back to the office," she got up and brushed her pants off.
Then she turned and offered Skye her hand.

Skye grabbed her hand and stood up, then reached down and picked up her bag. She blinked and looked around. "Sandals," she murmured, looking for them.

"Uhm..." Tris looked around, "Have you checked where you left your bag? Maybe you left them there?"
Actually she didn't remember, but they had to be around here somewhere.

Skye spotted her sandals against one of the shelves and went over to pick them up. She didn't feel like putting them on - she liked being in bare feet once in a while - so she just tucked them under her arm and slung her bag over her shoulder.
"Okay," she smiled, turning to Tristan. "Skye find. Go fine Lore now?"

"Yes... we go look for Lore now," Tristan replied back.
She had been told by Lore to use bits of what Skye said in their own conversation back at her with corrected grammer, it was his open to correct the way she spoke without nagging the poor girl.
"Let's go, you have everything?"

Skye grinned and patted her bag. Yes, she had everything. "Lore in Lore's room?" she asked, starting for the door, walking backwards so that she could see Tristan's reply, and on her tiptoes because that was her usual way of walking now, since her growth. It was one of the things that made her appear more graceful - and it was an unconscious motion, one that she just did naturally.

"Yes," Tris nodded as she made her way out of the backroom, "Lore is in his room, probably doing some research."
On what topic she didn't know at the moment, but she didn't have that want to learn a wide range of topics like Lore did.

Skye nodded thoughtfully as she started down the hall just ahead of Tristan. By now, she sort of knew where she was heading, so Tristan didn't need to lead her.
"Tristan," she said slowly, turning to look up at her friend, "what means, research? Mommy say Lore do research, Tristan say Lore do research, Lore say Lore do research, but Skye not know what is research."

"Well... to research... means to read or learn everything you can about a certain topic. Sometimes it means to read things so you can come up with your own ideas about why things are the way they are. It's really a method to learn," Tris hoped she got that right.

She emitted a soft giggle and skipped along the hall. "Lore teach Skye read!" she said brightly, her wings beating along with her steps.
