Takara cursed when she let Mizu escape. She tried to follow her, but to no avail. She stopped running and stood still, listening for any movement that may be her. None of the noises sounded human. Takara resisted the urge to curse again.

Takara didn’t pop up out of no where this time so Mizu sat down to rest. “It seems as though the shoe was on the other foot this time. The last time I fought Takara I had her on the ropes.” She thought to herself as she rested her head on a near by tree. “This would be the first time my speed has failed me, I need more training.” Mizu ended her thoughts by looking at the scattered rocks that made an accidental trail. “I should keep planning but I’m to tired to think.” She continued with her thoughts. Mizu stood up slowly from the tree that’s a small rest but she Knew she still need to keep moving. Hp: 3+2= 5 move silently: 6+13 = 19 4.

Despite her failed attempt, Takara continued to search for Mizu. As she continued, she spotted a trail of rocks. She ignored it, thinking nothing of them, yet kept them in mind incase she needed to use them in the future. Takara ran a bit more before stopping. She stood still and concentrated hard on hearing her friend moving around. She had no such luck.

As Mizu continued to sneak though the shadows of the trees she noticed Takara running pass her. “Good now I know where she is.” Mizu thought to herself as she continued to follow her friend. Mizu slowly sat down to rest once more as Takara stopped to listen out for her. “I hope I can keep this up. Then maybe I’ll finally be able to plan an attack.” She thought to herself Mizu stood up after another short rest and attempted to stalk past the girl that was seeking her. Hp: 5+2= 7 move silently: 6+6 = 12 5.

Takara continued to listen for her friend. Her ear involuntarily twitched as she heard rustling to her side. She pretended not to hear her and continued walking, following the sounds. She knew Mizu would eventually find out that she was following her, though.

Mizu began to grow uneasy and her heart began to pound wildly. “Did she hear the leaves?” She whispered to herself, Mizu could hear the sounds of Takara‘s foot steps advancing. “Maybe she heard when I stepped on the leaves, she was right there.” Mizu knew her only option would be to hide so she could get Takara off her trail. The panicking girl ducked under a near by fallen tree that was concealed by another standing one just along the path she was just walking. As Mizu hide she covered her mouth with both hands calmed her breathing and looked up from the shadows though the strands of hair that was covering her eyes. hide: 6+11 =17 6.

Takara bit her lip. This was going nowhere quickly. She racked her brain for a plan. Nothing came to mind. She let out a sigh. Two brains would be better than one, that was for sure. Wait, she thought, two brains.... Struck with an idea Takara hid behind a nearby tree and formed handseals. "Bunshin no jutsu," she whispered With a puff of smoke a bunshin appeared beside her. The bunshin left the confines of the tree and began searching for Mizu. Takara waited a moment before she, too, left the tree. She continued to hide behind trees and move silently as her bunshin searched for her friend.

Mizu was relived when she heard foot steps walk past her. So she decided she would take this time to rest again; as she was resting she thought she heard another set of foot steps. “Now that’s not right.” She whispered to herself as she tuned in; there was another pair of foot steps. “Now I know something’s not right, I better keep moving.” She thought to herself. Mizu slowly got up and began creeping though the shadows once again “Have I also become a cat in this game.” She thought as a smirk graced her lips. move silently: 6+12= 18 Listen:3+8=11 Hp:7+2= 9 7.

Takara was slowly becoming tired of this game of cat and mouse, where she could not tell whether she was the cat or the mouse. She paused for a moment to listen for Mizu. She heard nothing. Letting out a frustrated sigh, Takara continued to move silently while her clone stopped to listen. It, too heard nothing.

Mizu decided this would be a good time for one last rest since she was feeling better, so she decided to listen for the foot steps as she leaned against a tree. She smirked as she heard the set of foot steps moving though the leaves “Now that I’m in fighting condition again, let’s try to turn the tables.” Mizu whispered as a smirk once again graced her lips. Mizu moved silently toward the footsteps hoping she wasn’t heard; she wanted to try her hand at a sneak attack. Move silently: 6+8 = 14 listen: 3+9= 12 Hp: 9+1= 10 8.

Takara continued to creep around, hoping not to be found. Her clone did the same, but with less tact. The bunshin would be easier to find. Takara was unsure if it were a good thing or a bad thing. She paused for a moment to listen for any movement, hoping her luck would pull through this time. Lucky for her, she heard some movement. A bit cautious, Takara moved silently towards the noise, hoping to catch Mizu off guard.

As Mizu Inched closer to the steps she noticed they had changed direction. ”s**t, were did the second set go.” She whispered to herself, she knew that she wasn’t as quite as she had wanted to be, thanks to the aid of a few twigs and leaves, so she hid behind a nearby tree to try to keep unseen. “I may need the element of surprise; somehow not to my surprise Takara has grown since our last fight.” She thought to herself as she hung her head with the thought of her own lack of growth. listen: 7+3= 10 listen: 20+3= 23 Hide: 12+6= 18 9.

Takara was getting very annoyed. She was tired of playing cat and mouse. If only she could sneak up on Mizu! Mentally growling, Takara continued to move silently while listening for any sound. If this continued, she felt she would go insane. She heard nothing. Her bunshin snuck around, too, while listening. Her ear twitched. There was some noise behind a tree. Takara's bunshin signaled towards her and moved towards the tree, Takara following not too far behind.

Mizu listened as she heard some foot steps heading her way but she still couldn’t find the second pair. “Hmm I’m not sure if I can keep this up any longer.” Mizu said with a small chuckle more then likely giving herself away. “Well I guess its time to end anyway.” She thought as she reached into her holder to pull out one Shuriken that she held and her left hand, as she tighten the grip of the kunai that was still in her right hand.
