Welcome! And we don't bash anyone, here! There's a reason it's called the the Gay-STRAIGHT alliance, you know.
I, for example, am straight (even if I'm a guy with a female avatar--I like their options, more <_<), and am a prominent member, around here (periodic business outings, aside).
