My art teacher warned us about that. He said to make sure we did loooads of research because chances were we'd stumble across some brilliant original idea we'd had and go "Ooooh...yeah, I remember that now".
Well, with stuff you loved as a kid, there's the part of you that watches it and thinks "what the hell was I thinking?" and the kid part of you that goes YAYTHISISAWESOME! Which I why I consider myself to be a cynical b***h who loves Disney songs.
He slaughtered Pokemon the First Movie too. I agreed with pretty much everything he said, but at the same time was thinking "But Pokemon was awesoooome".
Those pictures are good, but then there's this.
Damn, it's years since I last watched that AMV. I remember thinking it was the besterest thing ever.
I think Crysta is a real name. It was in a baby name book in any case. Tasia is nice, I've never heard of it before.
They could have made something up, but that might fall victim to X'OACH&'aSA or "how the hell do I pronounce this?" disease. So, I dunno.

Yeah, and then there's also the cases where you just happen to come up with a really similar idea to someone else by coincidence. I mean... people do think alike, many times. It's to be expected.
I feel the same way. XD I wonder back how I could watch dub Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh! without cringing every two seconds, but I pulled it off back in the day.
Awww, now I wanna watch the Pokemon review. XD The first one was always my favorite of the Pokemon movies.
OMG! I remember seeing that AMV like... a long time ago. I loved it too. XD
Hmm, Crysta still sounds more Mary Sue to me... I had a neighbor named Tasia, so that's where I heard the name. A friend of mine also has a D&D character named Tasia.

YAY SHADI. I think he's my favourite abridged character.
The floating heads thing... I don't even.
I love how Tristan's parents have the same voice as him. XD

I can remember thinking the first Pokemon movie was silly, but it was freaking Pokemon, so I didn't care. Plus, the bit where Mewtwo blows up the lab seemed really violent, which I was surprised by and thought was awesome. In any case, it was like the law or something to love that show for our generation. It's not really the same watching it now. =[
I didn't watch any of the others. I dragged my dad to the cinema and made him watch the first one, which is probably why.

Hmm, I think my favorite abridged character is Tristan. He's just so adorable. XD
LK is totally an evil genius, and I would love to see him command an army.
YUU*GI*OU seemed silly to me at the very beginning, but I quickly got into it and ignored/didn't notice the dub retardation. As I got older though, I got curious about how the original was, and that's when I discovered the difference. The manga didn't come out here until way after I started watching the Japanese anime.
Yeah, that first part of the Pokemon movie was pretty violent, but some of the other parts were just... overly-dramatic, I suppose. XD The movie was definitely less lame than the show though.

I was going through LK's videos on YouTube so that I could watch any that I hadn't seen already. ('Cause I got sound on my computer again! <3) I just wanted to come on here and ask... Has anyone seen that "On A Blimp" music video he made? xD;;
When I saw it, I thought it was too hilarious. Then I ended up downloading the song because it got stuck in my head. XDD
LK's needs to quit doing all these catchy songs. XDD

Yeah, I saw it. XD I did the same thing you did a couple months ago, go on his Youtube account and watch anything I'd missed. I absolutely adore his Watchmen preview, and the new AMV he just did is pretty good too. I also loved the third anniversary party. XD

xD Yeah, he definitely started a bunch of hype with that one. You can find comments on LK's LJ with people going, "Don't cancel TAS!", "I heard you're going to cancel TAS!? Don't do it! D=", etc.
