As the light from the wings died down as Epotheros deactivated them the room was still left with an orange glow coming from some crystals that protruded from the walls of the cavern. They had absorbed the light energy and were able to keep the room lit for a while after Epotheros' ability was active.

"Go ahead Ty, try to do something to it," Epotheros said, only usuing Ty as a guine pig to figure out what this monster's true intentions were. There must be trump card that it is hiding and Epotheros needed Ty to attack inorder for him to figure it out.

The spider was far wiser than any of the previous monsters we have faced, so instead of allowing Ty to jump at his mouth he used Larien as a sheild and tuged her violently up towards his mouth, the threads that were wrapped around her body let of a greenish hue which was able to absorb magical energy and trap beings who used magic inside it.

Mean while on the ground Epotheros was busy hacking away at the threads inorder to free Clover. He had to cut each one by one inorder not to harm her. As he was down to the last few strands he felt something cold underneith his chainmail, which led to a slight pain and then a warm moist feeling. His eyes wandered down to see that the spider had used Clover to dig her dagger into the side of his abdomen. Even with the pain Epotheros was still trying to free her. He cut the last few strands and freed her, falling backwards onto the stoney floor.

Epotheros extended his index and middle finger and a red light begain to illuminate around them. He then ran his fingers over the bubbling gash of blood instantly cauterizing it. All it did though was stop the bleeding, not heal the severed tissue of his abdominal wall. He was going to have to be careful not to reopen it, by leaning into it and not stretching the the muscle wall.

Epotheros then stood up and shook his head to refocus his vision, "Yes I should be fine for now." He then looked at Larien, "It looks as though he is using Larien as a shield, or bait. Ty will not be able to get to that spider while Larien is there."

An Eye then opened up on the abdomen of the spider. It was a glowing yellow, much like the eye on that of the lava beast. Epotheros was sure that was a weak spot, but then it began to glow as a beam of heat shot out of it towards him and Clover.

"Move!" Epotheros yelled lifting Clover to her feet.

As we entered the temple I started felling weak but I ignored it and continued on with the group the scar from the sorceresses attack surged with pain as we started fighting the giant spider but I did not let it slow me. I dogged the webs coming from the spider and started running toward the creature the closer I got to the spider the more intense the pain was from my scar, I jumped up into the air toward the spiders mouth and larien in mid air I unsheathed my swords. as I got up to were larien was I slashed at the web holding larien as my blades touched the web I felt my straight start leaving me it wasn’t until then I noticed the greenish hue being let off from the web. but my swords had enough momentum to finish cutting the web me and larien fell limply to the ground hitting it with a loud thud. I force myself to my feet but my vision became blurred I had no straight left I was barely able to stand “epotheros get larien out of here” I yelled as I took a fighting stance facing the spider I looked straight up toward its mouth “lets dance” I said under my breath as I started slashing threw the new webs the spider was sending down trying to snatch me and larien. I was able to keep me and larien from being ensnared again but new I could not keep it up for long in my weakened condition

Tramer jumps up and frees Larien, allowing Ty to focus on the source of the Heat Beam, he is able to make out a thin line on the underside of the beasts abdomen, and wrincle marks indicating some sort of eyelid-like shutter. This must be where the blast came from...getting as close as he could, still avoiding the threads, Ty tossed a shadow-material blade at the center of the crack, testing for its reaction.

The blade of darkness, right before it made contact was dispersed and revelield that the spider was surrounded by millions of small threads of his magic absorbing web. It would be dificult to get any thing to the spiders body with those in the way. Epotheros knew this would be something only he could do. He recreated the wings and flew around the body of the spider, the threads burning away as he passed. The spider also did not aprove of this heat and shot at Epotheros several times with his heat ray. Epotheros though doged them gracefuly simular to an eagle flying through a dense forrest.

"Ty, Clover, now is your chance. Shoot at the eye when he opens it with every thing you've got."

Ty quickly built a thousand shadow bees, all built with a one track mind...get the eye as many times as possible. As soon as the eye opened, they all took off straight and fast for their target. A handful of them flew past Epotheros and ignited with flames, still traveling towards the eye. Because they were so densly packed while flying, soon most of them were flaming. Ty began to build a mixed beast just in case.
