Snarling faintly, Corbin's eyes slowly shifted back to focus upon the pit, tail flicking behind him of its own irrate accord.... Somewhat the outward manifestation of his own inner conflictions based on this latest findings.

All that had been embraced, all that had been touched... All, that knew. They would all be slaughtered, and devoured. Every. Last. Morsel.

*Roan sat quietly, settling into her seat as Daegonna joined them, Reinholdt snarling across the divide with pleasure. Evidently, he thought his champion the better.

The wailing from the pit below calmed slowly, the two combatants circling, waiting for the sign to engage.
But there was about to be some trouble upstairs. Ice, deep in the chasm as he was with Leer, sensed Corbin entering his club, and nothing would keep him from THIS little party. Not even Bailey.

The temperature in the Fang dropped. Sharply. Bailey groaned and covered his eyes, signalling to the bar tenders oot take the expensive bottles of fthe shelf, and then he sat back. Nothing was going to stop this from happening, even Roan sitting tense as she sensed Deciet coming. She looked at Corbin, bit her own lip and braced herself*

He's coming... this wont end well.

Iden was getting edgy. The fact that he was seated next to Corbin, whom seemed on edge himself, made it so. The fact that he half expected that tail to thwack him, whether intentionally or not, didn't help. But when the temperature dropped, and Roan made a comment, Iden's head sank forwards, and he groaned softly. He knew what that meant...and ******** if he liked it. Already he was forcing himself to keep his cool, telling himself that he had said he wouldn't start anything.

Corbin was Syn himself, and so of course knew just as well as the others that Ice, was on his way. Beyond that the sudden air conditioning of epic win was a fair ear marking of the horrid little faun imp.

Peripheral was always sharp as direct line of sight, and the reactions of both Roan, and Bailey did not mirror Corbin's own in the slightest. This, may very well end poorly, though it would not be Corbin that threw the first cataclismic punch.

Ice would come. Thsi much was inevitable. Corbin, simply crossed his right leg over the left, leaned back, and idly gnawed on his cigar. Patiently waiting the arrival.

*Ice made his entrance, but the miracle was that he DIDNT come for Corbin. The temperature had dropped just at his coming, but now... now it was SWIFTLY increasing. In direct proportion to Ice's rage. Various patrons of the more perceptive persuasion were murmuring, cowering, withdrawing from the eye of this particular storm - the DeSeer clan.

He was sitting on ROAN'S lap. Crouched over her with his hooves on the arms of her seat, a long needle of his hair already injected into her shoulder, a tail blade across her throat as she just stared blandly at him. HE however... was a mask of barely controlled quivering RAGE. His spines rattled as they crashed against each other with her tension, lips pulled back in an animalistic snarl as he leant on the needle, pushing it right through Roan's shoulder and into her chair. He was rewarded with a slight grunt but she didnt struggle, merely slid her other hand into her jacket for smokes, not meeting Ice's eyes*

What did you DO, whore! How DARE you... RUIN my masterpiece... you. will. SUFFER!
You noticed the heart switch then, huh?

*Her voice was casual, as if dealing with some street punk, cigarette lighting by itself as she held it to her lips, flicking her ruby eyes to ICe's equally red ones. The faun was beyond words, blood oozing over the blade of his tail as he pressed it into her throat further, cutting off her words, the rest of his tail whipping around her legs*

Corbin? Get him off me before I kill him.

Now, came the moment of indecision. Iden had two firearms. While ultimately they were useless here, it WOULD be a nice gesture to keep Roan from having so many holes poked through her hide.

That said, he would need to scramble over Corbin to help in any way, and Corbin likely was already having a better idea in mind.

So Iden tensed, and his fingers clenched into tight fists as he waited for the s**t to properly hit the fan.

And as Roan ordered, Corbin complied. The Diablerist's eyes shot wide open, emerald gems glowing like wild fire as they met with Ice's cold, enraged eyes.

With the blade of hair buried into the seat, and the tail held taut between biting fangs, Ice would find himself sitting rather then Roan's, in Corbin's lap. This came full circle from the lesson Corbin had learnt in his time in the Fang. Rage blinded the even the most skillful.

Ice had walked in on the masterful illusionist's chimerstry lair.Meeting his eyes however sealed the deal, concidering.

As the illusion faded to show for all that Roan, was actually Corbin, and vice verse, the Diablerist spoke within his own mind.

Protean, tenth ring. Body of the Sun.

Corbin's body instantly exploded in a directional firey display of power.

The UV elementalism of course would have no effect on Ice, however that wasn't the aim. That being to simply, launch Ice across the Fang whilst showered in flames.

Iden to the right, Roan to the left, the former might turn from the fireball that quickly extinguished provided Ice WAS launched, though niether would have to worry much as the solar flare like blast WAS directed. Perhaps a minor burn on the arm, singed clothing... Though nothing much more then that.... Provided they covered their eyes.

*The faun snarled as he flew backwards, rage blinding him from resisting Corbin's mental prowess as he was usually capable of doing.

Even flying through the air from an enemys' strike, Ice was grace personified. He turned in the air, hooves becoming claws as he landed on the far rail, perfectly balanced. His tail whip cracked behind him as he shook off the sparks and leered back at the DeSeer troupe on the other side. He'd have leapt straight back in but...*

I told you not to come back.
You lied to me.
I did not.
Omission counts! She's RUINED him! The b***h has RUINED my greatest work...
He's MINE Ice... you may pander to your memories of his time here if you wish, but he was ALWAYS mine. It was even I who bound him for you the first time.
Whore....

*Roan only grinned, laying her head on Corbin's shoulder. Daring Ice to start things here. Confusion rippled among the others around the pit, no one approaching as Ice stalked along the rail edge back towards the DeSeer group*

Choose. You, b***h... or him.
Choose?
I'll have...words... with one of you. You... or him.
...

Even as Ice flew, Corbin simply sat back as if, without a care in the world, switching his left leg to cross over the right as Roan's head found his shoulder.

He said nothing, eyes not even following Ice anymore as he went back to watching the match in the pit, no doubt set upon by the vastly more intense interactions outSIDE the combat zone. As Corbin's eyes met those of the combatants however, they both hesitated for a moment, before going back to the task of survival.

It was only as Ice rounded the railing and posed the question for Roan, that the cherry at the end of Corbin's cigar almost instantly found his lips with a mighty inhilation.

Exhailing the entire cigar through both indigo lips and his nostrils, Corbin's tail lashed behind him with high potential of cleaving more then just one other punter in half, if it weren't for his control as he stood. Carful to allow Roan to shift her weight away from the rest upon his shoulder.

With clicking spurs, Corbin took just one step forward, saying nothing as his eyes only just then, found Ice's once more.

Apparently, he was the willing volunteer.

Iden had looked surprised to see what had unfolded. At the least, he was surprised to see Corbin had replaced Roan, and the sudden blast of light brought a yelp of dismay. He had been blatantly looking in that direction, and hadn't QUITE been quick enough to cover his eyes. His arms lifted, and he held at his face with his gloved hands as he tried to blink away the temporary blindness.

:: Corbin...you sure about this, bro? What do you think he's gonna wind up doing to the package in your chest, man? ::

With that thought, Iden gripped at the armrests of his seat, and looked to Roan, not quite worried, but concerned. He didn't know if his gut feeling had any merit to it, but he wasn't sure he wanted to find out.

Daegonna DeSeer

PostPosted: Sun Nov 30, 2008 9:18 am

Daegonna sensed the approaching fiend the way you sense a terrible snowstorm approaching. The girl reached out to lay a hand on Roan's shoulder, then stopped, hand still midair as the temperature plummeted. No need to tell her now. She knew. The hackles rose on Graymalkis's back, and the enormous hound bared massive razor teeth in a snarl of unbridled threats and hatred.
Daegonna shivered, and resisted the urge to shrink back in her chair as Ice appeared in Roan's lap.
Only it was not Roan.
Corbin's illusion fell away, and Daegonna sensed the power building with stunning speed. All she had time to do was close her eyes. Her eyes still stung with the afterimage of the explosion. She opened her eyes, watching Ice and Bailey intently, golden eyes showing her nervous, angry wariness. Hearing Ice's anger at Bailey, Daegonna couldn't quite contain her smirk.
Looks like Ice doesn't like being the one deceived. She mused. That was information to keep hold of.
As Ice made his way back, and made his demand, tensed. She was tempted to stand, to intervene, somehow. She knew better. Ice might not want to kill her, but he could make her damn well wish for death, and she'd do no good to her clan that way. The last thing they needed was her pissing off the faun even more. Instead she just glared daggers at him, and imagined inflicting terrible curses upon him, the sort to push past his love of pain and into the realm of unbearable even for him.
Someday, I'll kill him...Someday when Deceit has nowhere else to hide.
PostPosted: Sun Nov 30, 2008 2:36 pm

*She sighed and laid her hed on her hand, watching the faun. Her voice when she spoke, was for the ears of the clan only. The general punters would not hear her*

Corbin is disadvantaged at present, and as you all know, its MY heart in his chest. Ice does not care which of us two he gets to 'talk' to, either way it's ME he's going after for doing this to Corbin. If Corbin faces off against him alone, chances are he will lose and Ice will aim straight for my heart.
Damn right...
You wont get any pleasure out of it Ice. I know you like hurting Corbin but... you wont hear me scream. Think on that.
I can live with it. Or you COULD stand up and take your sons' place, coward.
Yes, I could. But that is Corbin's choice. He already volunteered. For all I said Corbin would LIKELY lose, due to the restrictions Ive put on him... he has a habit of winning under pressure.

*Truth be told... it was as if she didnt CARE if Ice did win and subsequently kill her. She looked only bored, head tilted casually towards Corbin and Ice. *

Daegonna DeSeer

Daegonna quivered with anger, her golden eyes not bothering to hide a bit of her hatred for Ice. The miserable chill deep in her heart seemed to grow even colder with Ice's immediate presence. She longed to plunge her clawed hand into Ice's chest and tear out the mirroring core of cold in him. She knew how an attempt of that would end, however.
Roan's words weren't exactly comforting. Nonetheless, Daegonna did her best to stay her temper. For her to lash out now would only make things worse. With Dagoth sitting at Bailey's feet across the ring, she didn't dare move to strike against Ice. It was a massive effort, keeping her anger in check.
Graymalkis mirrored her emotions, and seemed to be straining against an unseen chain. The leash in Daegonna's hand was slack and unmoving. Nonetheless, the tension between Daegonna and the hound could've been cut with a knife.
Daegonna wasn't even pretending to watch the fighters in the ring below anymore. Ice had her full attention.

Simple solution.

Iden stood, finally vocalizing what he did NOT want to say, but felt compelled to say anyways.

Ice pisses the ******** off with his hissy fit, or he gets a third option.

He stepped forward, pushing up alongside Corbin. He threw his brother a sideways glance, and all the doubt he felt about this was shown plainly. He was reluctant. A quick glance back at Roan showed similar. But he didn't see any better alternative, unless they goaded him into a fight....though that would end poorly for Dag.

*The faun's gaze rolled, anger gone so swiftly, it was like a vacuum that sucked at the senses. In its place.... anticpatory desire. SEVERE anticipatory desire.
His motions were fluid, very very swift, and sure. His focus... was Iden. His eyes, burning coals in his face, locked on the boy, rolling his mind should he meet them, pushing everyone else out. His next words were for the neonate alone*

You would take your kinsmans place. You audacious little presumptive....

*He laughed. Full throated malignant noise filled the Fang as he extended his long fingers, settling into a neutral faun form, dropping the Corbin attributes he normally bore*

Its a deal, boy. You, the blank canvas... in exchange for your kin's safety through the tournament. Take my hand, childe... take my hand, or I take your Sire.

Ice! Leave him alone.

*Roan's voice cut through the fog, the woman finally standing to join her sons, snarling menacingly at her superior, four fangs catching the light as she tried to push the faun's hand away*

If you want me, fine. Take me. Leave my kids alone.
Au contraire... this will hurt you more, Lady Vengeance...
