And the Creation was done. The Circle-- the True Circle-- gathered around for the Naming ceremony that had to be completed for the Truth to shine through. Muraki watched in anticipation-- how he'd worked for this!
"And his name shall be known..." Seishirou murmured softly, letting his voice fill the air. This honor was his-- he had asked for this to be done, and thus it would be his hand which called the young one lying there.
"Cordell. Rise."
Slowly sitting up, the boy glanced at each of the four faces in the room, taking them in.
Hao's breath caught as he watched the angel spread those wings-- blood-stained wings for all that had been sacrificed... how wondrous, this creature created of flesh and blood and bone and spirit...
Even Karasu seemed startled by the boy, startled into uncharacteristic awe.
"Muraki Kazutaka, Creator of Flesh, do you recognize Cordell as the Gift?" Seishirou breathed the words, feeling the magic between all of them.
"I do."
"Karasu, Creator of Bone, do you recognize Cordell as the Child?"
"I do."
"Asakura Hao, Creator of Spirit, do you recognize Cordell as the Whole?"
"I do."
"I, Sakurazuka Seishirou, Creator of Blood, recognize Cordell as the One."
And thus it was completed.

After Hao, Seishirou, and Karasu paid their respects and left, only Cordell and Muraki were left behind in the lab again. Alone again, as they had been for the weeks while Muraki worked, putting together the Flesh, Blood, Bone and Spirit...
"Cordell," Muraki motioned for the boy to move closer. The angel obeyed of course.
Muraki observed the boy, taking in his delicate build, the wings which would never be clean of the stains. The mark of each of them was upon him, and Cordell would carry the Circle's legacy, even after the Circle disbanded.
"What will happen now that we no longer have you to hold us together?" Muraki asked softly, giving the boy a kiss. "I wonder..."
Cordell didn't answer, although he kissed Muraki back sweetly. Brushing a strand of hair back from his face, the angel watched Muraki as intently as the scientist watched the angel.
"Lucius will be furious when he finds out-- not that he spends much of his time doing anything besides being furious!" Muraki laughed, pulling Cordell onto his lap and petting him. "Remus will merely be glad it's over. Sakirou will be confused-- not that he had much of an idea of what we were up to. I'm sure my little doll will be concerned that we're now up to something much more malicious-- always so prone to think the worst of me! Tatsumi will be caught up in the affairs of his own group again."
Cordell nuzzled the petting hand, sweetly responding to each of Muraki's movements.
"...and then there's Draco. Perhaps I did wrong to show you to him-- but I couldn't have him going about sulking forever! At least this way he's seen you, my angel. Cino will be put out that someone else is everyone's darling now, and Balin will be more intrigued as to how we created you. I'm sure Asteil will wonder how such a beautiful child has come of our 'evil'-- now, now, don't get upset, my dear," Muraki gave Cordell a soft kiss at the boy's almost whimper at the word 'evil'. "We are in our own way."
Perhaps that was so, but Cordell wouldn't hear of it. He didn't think that any of his Creators were evil-- if they were, why would they have brought him here? Why would they have banded together for the sole purpose of bringing him to life?
"And Kaine has no idea we even exist," Muraki finished the rundown of the anthros in raven's Nest with a slight smile. "So, I wonder... what will happen now. The world will believe the worst of you, my darling-- or pity you, for who made you. Do not let them discourage you."
Nodding, Cordell gave Muraki a soft kiss, asking in a silent way for more of an explanation.
"I'll explain it to you in time, darling. All in time."

Draco shivered. Whatever it was was awake now. That body... they'd done something to it. Made it move. And it was moving now, it was 'alive' now...
For some reason, he could feel it. He could feel that... thing.
And he didn't know why.
Remus was more than a little worried about Draco-- the boy had insisted that something had happened... that whatever had frightened him so couldn't be found in the basement anymore... couldn't be found except through those who'd created it.
And that worried him. The fact that Draco appeared to have some sort of... connection with whatever he'd seen and the fact that only a few people would know what Draco actually HAD seen... it worried the wolf.
All this worrying was quickly upsetting the babies as well. The little ones kicked and squirmed, made unhappy by Remus' distress. Murmuring a soothing lullaby, Remus stroked his stomach and Draco's hair, wondering when HE'D become the mother hen of the household. Hadn't that been Asteil's job at one point...?

((I'm offline for one day and just look at what you do! o_O))
Sitting back in the chair, Tsuzuki crossed his arms, face creasing in thought. Of course it wasn't going to be easy. It wasn't ever easy. Things just... couldn't be. That didn't make them better or anything, it was just the way things were.
Speaking of the way things were... the most miniscule twinge of... something.... caught his attention for the barest of moments. Something flickering in and out of vision, something intangible and unreal. Unreal.
Hallucinations. How silly. "All right..." he said hesitantly, "I suppose... that's our only lead?"

raven's phone on her desk rang and she blinked. "Mother Night, are they done already?!" she murmured, grabbing the phone and listening. "Yes? Sei-chan-- you were supposed to-- yes, I'm aware... yes. What?! Bring him here. Both of them, I suppose. Yes. No. NO-- all right. Fine, that's fine. I want to see them. Preferably all of you, but... fine. Fine. Now, Sei-chan. Now. All right."
She hung up the phone and closed her eyes for a moment as if a headache had overcome her. "I apologize, dears... I have to meet with some people. You're welcome to stay if you want, but one of the people is Muraki, so... if you want to leave, go ahead."
Hisoka stiffened at that, swallowing hard. Did he... want to stay? Face Muraki...? They'd been kept away from one another for the most part, but... at the same time...
He glanced at Tsuzuki for an idea of what the wolf might want to do.

The first instinct was, of course, to apologize and hightail it out of there. But... some things were worth risks. Running did nothing but show fear and... all right, fine, he was afraid of the doctor. But only in a sense. And he'd be damned if he was going to keep running at the barest hint of trouble.
"We don't want to be a bother," he shook his head in apology, "But it'd be so sad to abandon the candy now, ne? If it's really not a problem, I think we'll stay..." And now to hope Hisoka understood.

Hisoka took a deep breath, but he merely nodded, giving raven a look, asking for allowance.
raven sighed and nodded. "If you two are sure then." She signaled to the door, and it opened, and after a few moments, Muraki and an angel stepped inside the office, shutting the door behind them.
"Muraki, I thought you were going to let me know when you were done," raven started slowly, her eyes focused on the boy.
"I apologize, Miss raven-- I was a bit eager to show Cordell the world," Muraki bowed slightly, a smile affixed to his lips.
"And you must be Cordell," raven moved towards the boy slowly. "It's.. a pleasure to meet you." "And a pleasure to meet you, raven-sama. I have heard a lot about you," Cordell bowed, his moonstone eyes sweet and gentle.

Remaining in silence seemed the best course of action here. No unwanted attention, leave all questions for later and maybe even try to figure out the answers yourself for once.
Whoever this boy was... this angel with bloodstained wings... it was best not to ask, certainly not in present company. He seemed so gentle though, so sweet and kind and... how could he possibly be coming to these conclusions with so little?... No, this wasn't strange, it was natural for Tsuzuki to think the best of people till proven otherwise (and sometimes to insist on the best despite evidence to the contrary) but something here felt... odd.

Turning her attention back to the scientist, raven considered. "He'll be in your charge for now, Muraki. You know the rules we discussed, don't you?"
"Of course, Miss raven. Cordell and I have already begun our discussions."
"Very well then. You're free to leave."
Seldom had Muraki looked or felt more pleased with himself than he did as he left the room, Cordell's hand slipped shyly into his own.
"Well, that's that," raven sighed after the pair had left.

"That's what?" Tsuzuki asked the moment he felt the door had been closed long enough for the odd pair to have traveled a significant distance away. Seriously though.... What?

"...the Circle's done," raven shrugged, tossing a couple pieces of sour watermelon into her mouth. "Cordell was what they were working on, and now they're done."

"Circle--working--done?" oh yes, wonderful, real smooth. That didn't erase the fact that, well... What? "What?"
It might be prudent to note that the synapses in a certain puppy's brain were having a very, very difficult time firing anything.

raven nodded absently. "They're done now... if you want more of an explanation, you should probably talk to one of the four..."
Hisoka didn't say anything, for fear of sounding like his partner as his mind whirled.

"Okay," Tsuzuki responded compliantly, not really catching most of what raven had said but... sorta kinda gathering the gist. Maybe. We can't be sure.
...Done?
.....He was supposed to be relieved... right?

raven sighed. "At least Cordell seems to be a sweet child...." she murmured to herself. Shaking her head, she laughed softly. "Is there anything else I can do for you two?"
