Sitting in the tree hanging precariously over the fallpool's edge, the fish eagle scowled. Sat and scowled at this small grounddweller, dancing her way amongst the water. Didn't she know that she was ruingin his chances of a meal! Best sit tight, until she moves on. He ruffled his chocolate feathers irately, and settled down.
What??
Another one? As the two grounddwellers began to converse, Kwazi narrowed his yellow eyes, bright against the snowy head plumage. Any minute now he would have to drive them away.
Or at least try, he amended to himself. After all, they were big grounddwellers.

"Seven, nine, eight...wait, that's not right." Flustered, the little cub frowns, staring at the stones in front of her. She has it from the top; now what about the bottom? It's eleven from the bottom. Okay. But...where was she? Ciyari lets a little curse fly as she realizes that she's lost her place, and that she must start all over again. "They need t'have gotten a dif'rent system," She mutters under her breath, ears slicking back against her head.
Once more she counts, and she manages to come up with the correct stone this time. The little gray cub lifts her paw, reaching out towards it - and freezes. Laughter! She can hear it, albeit very vaguely over the rushing falls. Hastily, she lets her paw drop, and swings around to confront the interloper.

::Hodari let out a howl of giggles as he tumbled into Ciyari's view. The grey male tumbling onto his back before rolling onto his stomach, pouncing all about before catching sight of the water:: "Fouuund it!" ::He cheered, prancing around in a circle once, turning to dash into the waters but.... That was when he caught sight of her.....:: "O-o-oh..." ::The grey cub gulped, backing away from the water quickly.::

The dappled gray Goshawk ruffled his feathers in annoyance as the noise cub bouned into view. :always noise little ones:

Not noticing the birds - yet - Ciyari throws all her attention at the incoming feline stranger. She frowns, brows knitting together in a very disapproving manner, tail snapping against the ground. These are her lands, and yet there's another lion running around like he owns them! She huffs. Fortunately, he's on the same bank as she is, so she moves away from the stones set into the cliff, and towards him, looking stern.
"What're you doin' here?" She querries, head tilted with an aristocratic air.

::Hodari allowed his red eyes to linger upon her as he stood up straight, head held at a decent level, not to high, not to low..::"What am I doing here?" ::He repeated the question, trying to buy himself some time to think of an appropriate anwser. Finally, one hit him..:: "I'm exploring. I woke up in this place one day and then I just kinda started exploring it after that. It's pretty huh? Lot's of trees, animals, pretty bugs... pretty birds.. and HUGE waterfalls apparently!" : biggrin oh.. He winced on the inside.. He must've sounded so stupid saying all of that...::

Msuko, kree-ing to herself in a sing song manner, was flying over the waterfall when her eye caught the glimpse of a furry thing below. The little brightly feathered bee-eater scoffed; how many of those hairballs were around here? Getting distracted by an insect buzzing by, Msuko darted after that. Catching a few more just over the water's edge, she hopped to a low branch beside the waterfall and gave another "Kree!" before flapping her wings and balancing just on the edge of the branch.
These were not the little coal and snow cub she'd seen last night. Two new ones! Not even noticing the other birds, she ruffled her feathers in a very discontented manner. She would watch until they noticed her, or until she found a prime time to irritate one of them. Or both. Glee set into her bird mind as she focused on that.

WHAT?
More creatures, come to disturb his fishing! Unfolding his large brown wings in a slow movement, stamping a few times on the branches asto disturb the bird perched innocuosly below, Kwazi fell forward before twisting into flight to circle ominously over the pool of splashing shadows and reflections.
"Cannot one creature get a moment's peace to hunt?" He bellowed majestically, as much to himself asto the startled creatures below. Shifting on strong wings he gave a contemptous snort and flew up river, towards quieter hunting and fewer disturbances.

"No, I meant here. These are my lands," The little cub says, royally. "This whole valley. I'm Ciyari, the princess of the RiverStar pride, an' you're trespassing, whoever you are. You ain't paid the fee for staying here." Maybe she can continue to trick people out of their next meals, and thus not have to try to catch anything for herself. It's quite a nice thought.
She jumps as the large bird bellows overhead, and hisses, ears flattening as she watches Kwazi move off. "Bird-brain!" She calls furiously after him, dancing on her toes, as if she longed to take a swipe at him.

::He blinked, staring at the lioness cub with an extremely puzzled look upon his face..::"A fee?" ::There.... was a fee to be here..? In this place? Well.... He supposed paradise didn't come free....::"And the name is Hodari. Ho~Da~Ri. Hodari!" ::He said his name three times as if he expected her to mispronounce it or something..::

"Ke ke ke," snorted and laughed the brightly colored little bird, easy to see as she flew down and landed in front of the little cub, Ciyari. "Just because you are a princess, does not mean you own these lands. There is no fee for being here!" Msuko laughed again, and started laughing so hard the little bird rolled on the ground, ke-ing and kree-ing to her heart's content. "Silly furball," she managed between laughs.

She sniffs, affronted. "I got it the first time," She says, eyeing him wearily. "And, yeah, a fee...but I'm lenient, I'll take a fresh-kill in return for it, I suppose, if you'd like to stay hre awhile." Truth be told, the little rogue-cub is somewhat lonely out on her own. Adults she can do without, but it's nice to meet someone her own age, and the same species, if not the same gender.
Anything else she might have added, however, is cut short by a vibrant avian that swoops down in front of her. Taken aback by the boldness and sheer adacity of the creature, Ciyari doesn't do anything, at first. When the bird's words to register, however, she flushes. But need takes precedence over want. She already began to salivate when the creature fly down before her, and now she pounces without warning, giving a growl to Hodari that plainly states: Mine! Food first, berate the thing later. She leaps....

Msuko let out a loud squack, piercing the ear of any creature nearby. Why were things always trying to eat her? More than ever the little bird wished she'd been born an elephant, or something equally large. But that wasn't the problem at the moment, she was about to get eaten! Flapping small emerald colored wings, she flopped back, barely out of reach of the cub.
But Ciyari had managed to get a claw into one wing, and Msuko screamed at the furball, pecking furiously at the paw entrapping her wing. She would not die by some hatchling hairball's claws!

::Hodari's ears perked up at the sound of her growling, the cub lowering himself into a pouncing position, tail fickering about madly as he readied himself to pounce.::
::He winced as he felt a slight pain in his stomach... agh! The cut from earlier. It hadn't hurt at all until just now! He shook his head, pouncing at the bird, tumbling over his paws more. What a clutz!::
