Flightless Butterfly "Is that where you want to go?" The Seedling shook it's body in a manner that appeared to be a 'no'. A short wriggle and the thing made a whiny, almost groaning noise before making another noise. "Gurr... Gurrow... Grow..." It looked at the woman blankly, staring her right in the eye. Apparently, he needed to grow.

Sunstrike was sat at a table in an unknown part of town, in an obscure part of the city, in the recluse place known as Gambino Island. Okay, maybe there were thousands of tourists and the city was technically supposed to kind of be a gambling hub, but as far as he was concerned it wasn't part of his normal haunts.
Not that he was hiding out, laying low, and generally trying to avoid responsibility, far from it. One could even go so far as to say that by being there, in the no name tavern, on the edge of the ocean, that he was taking his responsibilities very seriously.
He just had no earthly clue as to what to do with himself. Other then to just, get out of the way for a while and try to collect his thoughts. Sun had to pick himself up from these situations he'd managed to get into. Repair his scars, and start clean, that was the best way out of this slump. The red-head slouched against the back of the booth and stared at the half finished drink in front of him introspectively. It was being arrogantly quiet in response to this.
Sunstrike was starting to feel his age more keenly these days, probably helped along by the reminder on his hip that those were now running out. He'd never been immortal in this body, but he'd lived through enough, for long enough, to feel that way at times. He went over a few priceless quiet moments in his head but even these were starting to feel the press of time.
A medallion sat in front of him, along with his drink, and a very small bit of plastic with the letter M on it. Sun took a sip of the cool liquid and studied the engraved circular disc, not for the first time, debating the inscription and the criptic being that gave it to him.

Bright Sun, warm sand, and a nice breeze going were what associated the Island of Gambino with pleasure in Damions mind. It was a tropical paradise like no other with the vices of mankind running rampant all about without any concern for decency or even a hint of modesty, leaving a gourmet to sample and test each thing before falling full into it. The beach held wonders abound of the human body and the nonhuman alike, while the bustling city teemed with a different kind of life all its own. It never ceased to amaze the islander that so many people could congregate in one area with no other purpose but to live and let live without being at one anothers throats constantly.
It wasn't often he came to Gambino, wandering aimlessly through the crowded sidewalks and dodging the occasional self-powered vehicle, but when he did Damion liked to drink it all in. The sun warmed his bare upper torso while the hot pavement burned his feet to calluses, the only bit of clothing being a pair of cargo shorts that hung low on his hips and earned him no small bit of stares from the female quarter despite this being common place. The smells of the crowd assaulted his nose with their varied textures and intensities and threatened to overwhelm him with their potency. He felt exhilarated and alive in this hotbed of life and tried to keep his primary mission in mind.
This mission was simple, find his friends, and find the mall they had agreed to meet at, which wasn't very hard at all. His feet seemed to be leading him there of their own will and with abit of effort the hydra extracted himself from the crowd to stand abit off from the mall entrance, watching the flow of the people as if it were a river.

Her fingers trailed in the cool water of the fountain, one foot kicking idly in the air as she sat on the rim, soaking up the atmosphere... Despite how dangerous it was Raven loved a good crowd... they were so very easy to nibble at... they all milled about on the walkway, passing within inches of the vampire, more than close enough for her to take just the tiniest bit of their energy....
Her hair was all black as pitch today, telltale orange eyes hidden behind mirror glasses. Tiny and almost harmless looking, apparently daydreaming as she waited and snacked, a little smile on her face as the sun shone down on her letting her bask in the warmth, her little black dress just fancy enough to be acceptable in a fancy restaurant, but not overly flashy... the boys should be here soon...

Stephen would approach Raven, practically waltzing through the crowd with a smile on his face. It had been a long time since he had gotten out and just spent time with his friends with little purpose other than the mundane aspects of life that he was rather excited.
"Hello Rae dear! How are you this fine day? Have you seen lizard breath about? I hear he wanted to take us shopping." He playfully poked fun at Damion, whom he hoped was in earshot. The sun was warm and the sky was bright.
The women weren't bad to look at either.
Stephen would casually plop down next to Rae and wait for their third party member to show up. All things considered, today was going to be a good day.

Damions ears couldn't hear through the babble of the people or the clatter clank of their vehicles, but his eyes were good enough to spot his friends across the way from his position. His smile almost took in his face and stayed put as he made his way through the crowd again like a knife through butter with no pretence that he had anywhere but somewhere to be. They'd be able to see the crowd almost part infront of him as pedestrians realised he wasn't going to wait for them to move and eventually he just seemed to appear on the other side of the life-stream, taking longer steps than was necessary to approach the pair.
" Friends! You made it!"
His voice betrayed his excitement, like a child coming home to a treat or a shopper finally finding the perfect Christmas gift. He practically buzzed with energy and lifted himself up abit on the balls of his feet.
" Rae, as always you look lovely. Stephen...well we can work on you."
Damion always watched what he said with jokes, concerned that he may make a bad joke, but with Stephen this seemed appropriate enough.
" Hopefully the trip wasn't too taxing on either of you?"
Now concern. He had flourished from his time as an introverted islander but he still had alot to learn about human interaction. His words and feelings were rote and recital, questions he'd heard asked before or seemed appropriate, always testing. Like today! Today was a learning experience after all!

Raven smiled and leaned her shoulder against Stephen's, using him as a temporary backrest. She had that lazy movement to her like a reptile basking on a hot rock at the moment, she loved these hotter climates... she could just stretch out in the middle of the desert and nap the day away... even if she couldn't get drunk on the heat like Sunny, she still had enough of him in her blood to love being warm.
"Mmmmm, and the arrival of our fearless leader is upon us...I wonder if he has any candy in his pockets...." xd She grinned a hello to Damion, flicking the water off her fingertips at him in a mock salute.

Stephen would blink at the question of the trip being too taxing on him, and would nonchalantly point up at the small red and white airship high above them - the Crimson Sky, a little gift that he bought himself after a particularly successful (yet alas not victorious) Heaven or Hell tournament. Ryugi had suggested the name, and it stuck.
"Nah. I'm good."
The thing was good for long distance travel on a whim, but he didn't like to get too accustomed to the flight - it was far too enjoyable to become commonplace or routine.
Stephen would then yawn, using Rae's resting head as his own resting place for a moment, spacing out slightly in the pleasant climate. "Geez, how do you do it D-man? Such warm balmy weather and you're all up and about like a jumping bean." He would glance around and watch the people roam by. "Just take it easy, yo? S'plenty of time to get wound up later..."

Damion laughed at Ravens mock salute, presenting one of his own with a lazy flip of his hand before ticking it off in a mock suicide headshot. That was something else he'd seen people do and the notion of it amused him greatly. He didn't have any candy to give her as it probably would have melted in his pockets had he any to give, a gooey lumpen mass of mint and chocolate and whatever else he may have in his pockets. His expression turned quizzical when Stephen simply pointed in the air as he turned his eyes to his other friend. Was there a bird? Should he move? Curiousity bid him to look skyward and the airship dropped his jaw in amazement.
" It's huge! How did you get it to stay up there? Are there hundreds of birds in there? One really big one?"
The concept of technology that advanced was lost on the slowly burdgeoning mind of the elemental, given that Gaia had little to nothing in the way of airports or aerovehicular travel. He couldn't help but wonder how Stephen had managed to get it and how he himself could go about getting one for his own uses, perhaps in a smaller size, and a different color. But now there was a question to his energy! That required an answer right?
Damion chose instead to ignore the question in its entirety and instead just smiled wide and waited for a response to his questions. They would be far more interesting than his reply would be anyways.

Raven shifted slightly again so her head and shoulders slid down to rest in Stephen's lap.
With a grin up at both the men she moved her right hand in a little circle a persistent breeze picking up a multicolored assortment of flower petals from a nearby decorative bed. "Not birds Damion, but something along the same principles..." She held her hand palm up, the little breeze jumping to her palm and lifting the flower petals into a tiny tornado. "Air pressure! Birds flap their wings to create it, but humans have discovered ways to do the same thing without having to perfectly imitate the motion."

Stephen nodded in support of Raven's statement. "Yeah, we've gotten pretty good and working with nature to do things that wouldn't be normally possible. Some people look at it as harnessing the power and making it do what we want, but I prefer to think of it as a tandem cooperative... force... thingy..." The usually well spoken man stumbled a bit to figure out the words for what he was trying to say, to no avail. "At any rate, I don't care too much either way, as long as it works."
He yawned and stretched again. "So, Gambino's not really my stomping grounds. What shop are you dragging us to? And beyond an excuse to hang out, why do you think we need new clothes, hm? Do you want to watch us get naked, is that it?" The man would look up at his friend from his resting place and coyly wag his finger. "Honestly, if that was it, I'm sure all you had to do was ask. With the exception of Trogdor, I'm pretty sure we're all quite comfortable with each other here."
He would pat the man on the shoulder, not sure if he would even quite get the fact that he was having his chain yanked, but it didn't matter. The sun was shining, friends were around - it was a good day. "At any rate, I suggest once we're done that we all get some cold drinks. Nothing like a refreshing glass of something at the beachfront, right?"
As he finished his sentence, he would spread his arms in a manner that said "I am at your disposal". He was smiling contently - today was going to be a lot of fun.

The joke did not infact go over Damions head. If anything it seemed to strike him square in the middle of the head as he recoiled from his blond friend, face aghast with horror at the notion and his hands flying up to place palms outwards at shoulder height.
" Stephen! I would do no such thing! Had I wanted to see anyone here nude, I would have done so by now!"
Ok, maybe it did wizz right over his dreadlocked head, but it creased the hair abit as it passed. Recovering slightly the elemental shook his head abit and gathered his thoughts to put words to them. This process put him in the mindset of a general arming his troops and he quit enjoyed it.
" No, I wanted you both to come here for two seperate reasons, the one being a new clothes day. As a team of excellent pedigree we should atleast look our best walking into the fights if not walking out of them. I have no experience shopping for clothes and strongly suspect that I am going colorblind, where as Stephen....well, you're a male and it seems like females are good shoppers."
He indicated Raven with a smile and a hand,
" And Raven is one of the most fashionable, if not THE most fashionable, people I've met. She would know best what looks good and what doesn't and what provides the most comfort presumably. And the second reason....I wanted to spend time with my friends."
