Showerstar sighed. "Part of it was." He meowed softly.
"The Elder's den was the only place that wasn't being handled.
I should have been there...and then.." He closed his eyes in pain,
remembering losing his first life.

Dewleaf shakes her head, eyes saddned but disapproving.
"There was nothing you could have done. He died as he lived, and thats nothing to feel guilty about. He did what he's been training all his life for. There is no greater loyalty than that." she mews softly.

Showerstar looked at the ground. Dewleaf was right.
But he still should have helped. "Well, help Lotusleaf...He'll
need it." He meowed, gazing at the hurt warrior.
He stood up and padded out and to his den.
Duskfeather padded around in the shadows of camp,
feeling dead all over.

Dewleaf follows her leader with sad eyes. Only when his tail dissappears from view, does she get up and tend to her other patient. Silentcloud pads silently out of the warriors den, streatches, then begins to groom himself like it was any normal night at camp. After that, he looks around, his eyes stopping on the small pile of fresh kill. He's eyes narrow, though it looked like it was more from annoyance than concern. Still, he gets up ceremoniosly and trots out of camp.

Duskfeather glared at Silentcloud as he passed out of
camp.
She couldn't believe how he was acting!
Showerstar fell onto his moss bed with a thump.

Lotusleaf slowly emerges from the medicine den, head low and shoulders sullen. The truggs to the warriors den, not looking up and seemingly ignoring the world around him. He disappears into the den and falls into his nest greatfully.

Duskfeather padded up to Dewleaf with depression visible all over her.
"Need help with anything?" She asked, her heather eyes sorrowful.
Showerstar was stretched out on his side, the pain from
his injuries starting to kick in. But somehow he felt numb, and sore.
His Golden eyes were faint as they stared at his cave wall.

Dewleaf sighs and shakes her head.
"Not really. But I guess I can go and restock my herb supplies. Not much is going on now." she replies simply.

Dewleaf nods saddly then motions with her tail to the camp entrance.
"Well...lets go ahead. The clan just needs time to recover. They will be fine soon. They're strong." she mews reasuringly.

"Showerstar sure seems to be troubled with this. He's always
been so strong, I've never seen him act like he's been this defeated
before..."

"The clan just lost two members, and for Showerstar, great friends. How else do you expect him to react?" she mews, stating a simple fact. "I just hope he doesn't let it take over him. Thats what I fear. No herb can cure that."
