Dalamar slowed slightly so that Illis could catch up and walk next to him, reaching out to take the kitty's hand in his own. He looked over and smiled then looked ahead once more, taking a slow meandering path back to the inn.

Illis purred and sqeezed his hand gently. He liked being with Dalamar. It made him happy...er. He was always happy, but being with the angel brought out a whole new sort of 'happy' in the kitty.

When they reached the inn, Dalamar opened the door for Illy and stepped in after him. "Go ahead and go up to my room. I'll be there in a sec. Just gotta grab the first aid kit."

"Ok." Illis obliged and went upstairs. He sat on the bed, then after a few moments, laid down and stretched. Geez, he was a lazy kitty, wasn't he? He wasn't going to sleep though, he wanted to fix Dalamar.

Dal watched the kitty walk toward the steps then start to climb them before he turned and went to find the kit. When he had found it, he made his way up to his room, opening the door and shutting it carefully behind him. "Comfy?" he asked Illis, seeing the kitty stretched out on his bed.

Illis lifted his head, bleaking blearily and smiling,"Mhm." He rolled onto his back and stretched, arching his body and looking at Dalamar, then the kit, then where he'd decided to get comfortable on Dalamar's chest.

Dal followed the progress of Illy's eyes and smiled softly, stepping over to his bed and sitting down. "Don't worry about it, Illy. I think I'll survive."

Illis smiled softly and looked at him."You still want me to play nurse?" he asked, yawning and bending his arms up, resting his arms over his head and keeping his eyes on the angel.

"Of course," Dal said simply, lying back and stretching out. He winced slightly and shut his eyes, passing the kit to Illy.

Illis took it and sat up, smiling at him and smiling. He opened the kit and bit his lip, looking at the things in it, then giggling,"What am I supposed to use again?"

Dal laughed and rolled his eyes. "First use an alcohol prep pad to clean the cuts. Then put some antibacterial cream on 'em and then wrap me up with some gauze. I'll sit up when you get to that point."

Illis smiled and nodded,"Ok." He grabbed the alcohol prep pads and took one, getting it ready then glancing at Dalamar before setting about cleaning, humming softly.

Dalamar closed his eyes and sucked in his breath sharply, forcing himself to lie still as Illy cleaned out the cuts. "Damn that stings like a b***h," he muttered, gritting his teeth.

Illis blinked, then swatted his nose,"Watch your mouth," he heard enough of that at home. He continued to clean them, tail flicking slightly as he did so. He didn't like the thought that it was hurting the angel, but, it needed to be done.

Dalamar bit his lip and lapsed into sullen silence, keeping his eyes closed. It wasn't really fair of Illy to tell him to watch his mouth. He needed to vent somehow and swearing seemed to help.
