Sorry hun, I don't know anything useful about HTML. Though the essay is about the references found in RENT, specifically anarchy, bohemia, AIDS, Homosexualy and the multitude of pop and subculture icons.

Ugh, rant time for Ryan.
I decided tonight would be the night to send my mom an email coming out as genderqueer. It really is time. So I started to write an email. I got out a tiny bit of what I was going to say, but not the way I wanted to say it. I'll edit it when I'm done, I thought. Somehow I ended up hitting enter (for what reason I have no idea now) and ... sent the unfinished letter. stressed
So now I've got to figure out what to say in a follow up email explaining myself... and fast, because she'll get the email in the morning. Yay for me.... *sigh*

Damn, Rej. At this point, you could try just waiting to talk to her. There's nothing you can say by email that won't make the situation worse (unless you plan to type up a "Just kidding" email).

Yeah, unless you plan some sitcom, Lucy-esque distract and delete raid on your mother, maybe waiting. Or actually calling to tell her about it first might work. If the language was SOOOOO bad that you think it'll confuse more than enlighten.
I love RENT, it just ooooozes symbolism and refences though, I could see that essay being much longer.
Poor Q, it's tough having a depressed boyfriend, that no money for pills-depression-hopelessness-depressionX2 thing is a terrible cycle..or flowchart, or something. It's terrible, feel for ya' man.

Yeah. I've been through it... But I was only in school. He has a job and s**t, so it's gotta be like a million times worse for him. ><;

Well, I reread what I had written in my accidental email and it wasn't too bad for a beginning, and maybe it was for the best that it got accidentally sent... that way I couldn't chicken out like I've been doing for months now.
SO, I wrote a follow up that finished the first email and overall I don't think it was too bad. Luckily in the first email I didn't get to the part where I was going to offer to give her a copy of my zine (which is all about my gender stuff) like I had planned to do because I suddenly remembered a really personal part that would probably be too much for her right now.
Of course... now I'm getting nervous because I'm almost certain she's read the email(s)... but she emailed me this morning about Thanksgiving and I called her this afternoon to see what time she was coming to get me... and she hasn't mentioned anything.
Perhaps she's letting it soak in, or she'd rather talk about it in person, or... is just ignoring it like I feared she would. *sigh* Sorry for the long rant.

Dude, it's the RANT THREAD. If anything, you should apologise for having short rants. Or non-rant rants. Long rants, no problem!
*thumbs up*
Yeah!
Hope ya' feel better about it. Even if she ignores it, um, just letting her know is all you can do. Jamming it up her nose isn't going to get a better reaction.

My IP class, IP: Folklore and Popular Culture, which is a class that all social students have to take before graduating. *sighs* It's a really long reaserch paper that links together all the stuff we're learned. Pell, I know, a book could be written on the symbolism in RENT, however I don't have a year+ to work on it... maybe in university ninja

NadiaM It's almost December and no closer to getting my first kiss. *sigh* To clarify, I reloved last year to get my first kiss this year. I still have no real first kiss yet, either. But I'm only 16, so I can wait. Sure, there's been childhood "girlfriends" that kissed on the cheek, but nothing more for childhood. There was kissing during sex, but the people didn't mean that much to me. sad
