Segurius Nekkies rock my socks! whee Except they can shoot that far and thier basic weapons aren't really good for creatures with really advanced technology. xp Weapons aren't really good? Are you kidding me? The ability to wound anything no matter what it's toughness is, or get a glancing hit on a Land Raider Crusader with only strength 4 shots...? That's not good enough for you? Necron guns roXxors my soXxors.

Reddemon I think the Necrons should have the slow & purposeful rule & count as stationaru when firing I don't know about that. It would really be pointless for the army, just making them even slower than they already are, and not really compensating for it all that much, seeing as how the only units with heavy weapons can already move and fire as if stationary anyways. *Shrugs* That and it doesn't follow the whole raiders theme.

Haha, as much as I'd love that, so my rapid fire weapons could always at least get their single shots up to 24", they'd have to bump up the cost of the troopers, and already being quite expensive, that would turn of most players, considering the phase out rule means you should never go to battle with small numbers.

We fought in a 400pt. Megabattle at my store, about 5 players each side. 2 Necron players both took a monolith. Guess what the only remaining models on the enemies side were at the end of the game? Oh yeah, they also removed the phase-out rule for them.

What were the squad rules for that mega-battle? the 400 point battles they do (or did, as I haven't been there in a while) at my gaming store is you get one troop at least....and that doesn't leave enough points to put in the Necron tank...heck, we had to make a necron unit! (the Necron Thull (or something like that), a 50 point HQ coice)

We were doing combat patrol rules, but no Limit on armor value. Also, the enemy was allowed to use 9 broadsides against the rules as well, due to the fact that we had about 2 more players then them. The phase out rule for them was negated as well. Surprisingly, we still won greatly. And yes, only one troop was required, and it was minimum size.

I've been toying with the idea of converting an Aeonic Orb for my 40k Necron army. (for those of you that don't know what it is, its an Epic 40k Necron War Machine that is essentially a miniature star that releases solar flares as its main attack. Its the closest equivalent to a necron Titan). Anybody have any thoughts about this?

Well since it hovers some 35 feet above the ground anyway, its much taller than a titan, but as far as just size, yeah about the same if not bigger.

I guess it would make sense for Forge world to make it on the ground then eh
