Wow, a lot of people hate the trumpets.....I would hate the trumpets if I didn't play them, and I'd hate the Clarinets if I wasn't dating one, so....I'll say the trumbones becuase ours suck, but I'm sure there are good trumbones out there...somewhere...

i hate the trumpets in our band. they are loud, obnoxious, and ******** annoying, but the group with the fewwest players is the clarinet section crying it's only me and Ashley, but she sux, so it might as weel be just me

In my band its probably a tie between the trumpets and saxophones.
The trumpets b/c they honestly don't know how to play quiet our band director finally figured that one out recently.
And the Saxophones b/c we have an amazingly stupid saxophone section in our band.

The trumpets are usually the most hated. Technically, I was one this year (I play the flugelhorn).
Trumpets are just misunderstood. I mean, if they can't squeal/scream or if they play softer than the clarinets, their purpose as trumpeters is unfulfilled lol
In my band last year, the mellophones were the most hated, only because we were geniuses and got our stuff learned millennia before the rest of the band did.
This year, I hate the tubas, because I think it's a sin to carry that huge, beautiful instrument and barely put any air into it.

we all hate our piccolo. We have 1 of them. She's annoying as hell and ONLY plays the high register (and she has horrible tone quality... but she's the only piccolo we have). Kinda stinks when you have only 21 people and 6 of which is completely devoted to flute (and piccolo player who plays flute which makes a total of 7)...
Our trumpet section (myself and my good friend) are quite opposite of generic pridefull trumpets. we're timid and like to hide (also, we have no confidence so often times we're never heard and are yelled at by our director) so we're not the most hated.

I always disliked bells.
...That never really seemed like an instrument to me. Then again, I'm a pecussionist, so I guess I don't have much room to talk. xD

I really hate the french horn.
I play bass clairinet, and the stupid ******** french horn is always drowning out my sound.
Theres only two of us bass clairinets, and then 2 tenor sax's, and were really quiet in our small band with 4 french horns. D:

why do people hate the oboes/flutes/french horn so much?
I personally hate trumpets. You guys must have horrid oboes, since our only 2 oboes are like perfect.
Us woodwinds are WAY better than brass.
and no one hates clarinet that much? yay!

i hate half of my tuba section they are stuck up indeveduals the section leader of the tuba section couldn't stop fidling with his susaphone in marching season and the bell fell off during a show case stupid idiot lol

hi! I take is offensive that people hate oboes... bc i am an oboist.... ok yeah i really hate..everything except oboes...bc they all hate me...and say i suck! But i don't i'm just in the reject pile!! Deep down i rock and have the best oboe sound eva!! Just i don't feel like working to show it... But yeah everything except oboes, really hot bassoon players, and even hotter flute player... all suck biggrin

I hate the trumpets. They have horrible tone quality, no dynamics, and they just overall SUCK! sweatdrop Our mello's/french horn's claim that they're the most hated, but they're not, everyone else in our band just doesn't care. Like the tenor saxes, they are pretty much ignored. Our trombones suck (and more than one is kind of creepy) but we still hate the trumpets more.

I used to have a jiff with the trumpets. I think lots of people seem to. My problems with trumpets were:
-they always wanted to dominate in the music
-they were always loud and ignorant
-the trumpets in my band always played pranks on everyone T.T
-they have a bit of an ego
It kinda sounds like it's the instrument lawlz but no it's the person playing the instrument. Though when they calmed down, those were the people I loved the most. I guess I hated the instrument but loved the people ^-^

In my band everybody hates the Lowheads *aka Bass Clarinets and Bari's*... unfortunately I'm one of them! I can understand the ill will towards SOME of us (meaning the other bari player who sits next to me and needs to be taken out by one of the trombones behind us), but the rest of us just get the bad rap for being in the Lowheads.

Trombone players are the worst at my school.
Ugh. There are only two that aren't all that annoying. They have this list of who to embarrass, they don't know when to shut up and act proper during rehearsals, they're always really obnoxious... ugh. Not to mention two of them destroyed one of our trophies while playing soccer in the band room before school. crying
