Ekko hopped from Cerdik’s shoulder to his hand and looked to Adencia. The little hawk could tell his friend was not well. Looking back to Cerdik he gave him a soft cry, urging him to help. Adencia tiredly opened her eyes a little and continued to huddle against Meena. The large horse whinnied and curled up more around her. Adencia never knew what it was about animals; they were always drawn to her. She wasn’t sure if it was because she too could take on their form or if it was because they just felt safe with her. The elf would never know.

“Eh, it’s just cold, that’s all.” She answered groggily, “The wind has a chill.”

Slowly droplets of water began to fall in the gap that was made in the trees by the river. The rain fell upon the river’s surface creating little ripples that were quickly swept away by the moving water. Garren looked around then up to the clearing above the lake. They had to get moving quickly so they could beat the worst of the storm as it passed.

“Sorry guys, we can’t stay much longer.” He said, “We will eat a morning meal on the road. I’ll give you all a couple minutes then we’re packing up and heading out.”

Cerdik smiled eagerly. He had been yearning to try an area-affected spell for quite some time, but never had found a practical use for one. Now he had it. He looked to Ekko, still smiling, and nodded. "Yes, yes I shall. But if you wish for free-flight, 'tis best you not stay close. I shall interrupt the Gaia gale's natural flow." After offering his warning. Cerdik held his hands out to either side, palm up. Ekko was on his left hand, and his right was free. If the bird wished to leave, then would have been the time. Cerdik looked around, creating a mental line in the dirt around himself, Meena, and Adencia. "Do not stray near without warning, lest I injure a body," he said out loud, warning his fellow travellers. Then he closed his eyes. And then, the wind seemed to stop entirely. The air was still, but it did not stagnate. Looking around the three, one could almost perceive the invisible forces at work. The wind was forced to make its way around the bubble Cerdik had created to keep the chill away. Opening his eyes, he looked to Adencia. "Better?"

Ekko understood that he should leave and did so before Cerdik began. Adencia nodded slowly to Cerdik’s short question.

“Yes,” she answered, “Thank you.”

Closing her eyes again she rested back on Meena and shortly fell asleep. Garren looked about and packed anything he could – they hadn’t really taken much out so the job didn’t take long. His task was done and all that was left was for the others to gather themselves and move on. He waited patiently for them while gazing out at the river streaming by.

((Eh, now is about the time to leave. I plan on doing so shortly, so anyone post what they need to (Where did Shadow and Tanyeera go?). After that we're going to have another fast-forward-post-of-doom and get to the town by Oakenshire. That's where most of the action is going to start anyways. The first couple of days of travel are going to be a bore so we skip forward.))

((Sorry! Sorry! Been kinda busy a while, but I'm here now.))

Tanyeera had awoken before the others and gone for a quick morning jog to warm herself up for the travels ahead. She arrived back at the camp just in time to witness Cerdik's wind-shield, and smiled appreciatively as she admired the fine spellmanship.

((K, since nothing's happening, I'm just going to continue.))

Garren made sure everything was packed up so they could continue on in their trek. The fire was out and the rain began to come down. The group was safe for the very short moment because the trees still gave them covering. Glancing around at everyone he noticed Cerdik’s, what looked like, giant bubble. Stepping up to it warily he spoke to him.

“Cerdik now is about the time to leave. We need to get Meena back up and about.”

Garren was unsure what they’d do about Adencia. They would figure something out. Even if it meant Garren carrying her they would get moving again.

Cerdik opened his eyes slowly, and the bubble collapsed upon him like a splash of fog. He exhaled slowly and nodded. "Aye." He made sure all his books were secure in the satchel, then slung it over his shoulder once more. Then his gaze fell to Adencia. "Be you enabled to support oneself?" he inquired softly, offering a hand. Again, magic had made him forget his own physical frailties; no thoughts of his weakness came to mind, and for a few brief seconds, he was feeling as 'normal' as was possible for him. "Come, come, we must proceed." He smiled softly, then let his mind probe the surrounding area, reaching out for Ekko. He greatly desired the bird's company for some reason. When his mind touched Ekko's, he tried to coax the avian back to his shoulder.

Ekko flew back to Cerdik’s arm happily. Once there he looked to Adencia curiously, tilting his head to one side. Adencia looked up from her slumber and nodded. The elf pushed herself up weakly. After standing she stumbled forward until Garren caught her arm.

“Lemme alone, I’m fine.” She mumbled.

“Alright,” he said, setting her straight and letting go of her arm. Adencia managed to balance but as she stepped forward again she toppled.

Garren caught her again and held her steady, “You alright now?”

“Yes.”

“Are you sure?”

“No.”

Garren sighed and set her down. Adencia just slumped over uselessly and closed her eyes tiredly.

“Alright, that’s it, you’re riding Meena. Just don’t argue.” He looked down at her sternly. The elf had no intention of arguing with him, but of course, Garren couldn’t tell if she had fallen asleep again.

Thorn grabbed his stuff and walked over to the horse.
"I can lead Meena." Thorn offered "I have experience with horses." He grabbed the lead rope with out waiting for a replie and looked around at the others. We really are a rag tag bunch. Two of us could be classified as children. A Half elf, an elf currently passed out, and a man/lady depending on the hour. I hope we don't have any problems with the normal people in the towns. Thorn followed the group as they left the camp site in the distance still thinking to himself. I hope I can start training soon.

Garren lifted Adencia with ease and felt that her limp form was still a bit chilled but it wasn’t as bad as it had been. He placed her on Meena’s back and draped a blanket over her shoulders.

“Are you sure she’s going to be able to stay on?” Isarelle asked.

“I was hoping you could help me with that . . .” Garren replied, “Is there anything you could do?”

“Not until my hour is here. To my belief that’s a bit of a while away.”

Garren murmured under his breath in a frustrated way. “Alright, I’ll carry her until then. When we switch then we’ll figure everything out.”

Garren picked the elf back up and kept the blanket with her to protect her from the rain. She was rather small compared to him and very light so this would not be a problem. He set out on the rainy trail with Thorn leading Meena behind him and the others following along.
