MAGGIE. *He says it loud to grab her attention, maybe even to shock her into calm.* Maggie, Tavin's not waking up right now... You can shake the living daylights out of him all you want, but he can't talk....
*He leans down to look in her eyes.* You saw him....
*He talks in a calm voice, best he can...* Look, you've got your options here.... You can get your key. You can go see your son. Okay? But first... I need you to take a breath, okay? I need you to calm down. Cuz if you pass out - I can't carry you into your time, okay?

*Maggie tries to take a breath, some of his words breaking through, but she's still straining against him* I canna . . . I canna. . . . *she breathes in sharply between fragments of sentences* What if . . . if something . . . *her voice hitches in her throat again, and she shudders, her shoulders shaking, tears streaming* Oh God, please, not my son, not my son . . !!

*Bard skips down the hall snapping his fingers to the music.... until he hears Maggie wailing. His heart drops into the pit of his stomach.*
Maggie?!??
*he rushes down the hall toward Maggie and Luke.*

*Luke immediately heard Bard - first his shout and then the sound of him running towards them.*
Bard! *As Bard approached, Luke tried to fill him in on what was happening.* Tavin's not doing so good... He started to talk, and it sounded like he was talking about Will. Then Maggie pitched a --- *He changes his words.* She-She got upset.... and She had it out...
*He hands over Maggie to Bard, gently, but like the changing of the guard.... He was glad he was there in the moment - but now he's very grateful that there's someone there to relieve him...*
There you go...
*He stays a moment to make sure he's got it.*

*Maggie turns towards the sound of Bard's voice, and tries to say something, but she keeps insisting on talking to Tavin, and her words run together, and eventually she can't get any out at all. She just reaches out for him, grasping onto him, trying to pull herself out of her panic*

*Bard takes Maggie in his arms, as he tries to piece together what Luke's saying. Rather than reason with her just yet, he cradles Maggie in a tight embrace, rocking her ever so slightly*
It's okay... everything will be okay... *he whispers over and over*

*It looks good to Luke.... He nods to Bard, and he turns away. He's got a haunted look in his eyes for a moment, but then... he shakes it away. And it's gone. Soon, he's in the main room...*

*It takes some time, but gradually Maggie is able to breathe again without sobbing or hyperventilating. She stands there, still trembling, and tries to find her voice to explain* ...He was trying te tell me something. . . he could barely talk, but he kept trying te say Will's name . . . I asked him . . . I asked him if s-something had . . . if something had happened . . . . he started crying . . . he wouldna answer me . . . . why wouldna he answer me??

*Bard strokes Maggie's hair gently, speaking camly* Tavin's in a lot of pain. He could have been crying from pain, or frustration because he couldn't make the message clear. It could have been a hundred things....

I know . . . Forgive me . . . I just . . . I canna lose him . . .*she takes a shakey breath. She realizes she's being irrational, and is even a little embarassed by it. But she can't quite shake the fear* I canna lose him too . . . I'm so afraid that I'll go home and he willna be there . . .
