I'm about to get into a debate with someone at YouTube. This is what they sent me in a PM:Quote: So yeah, I was looking at your videos, then I looked at your profile, and I saw comments... I tried to comment but my computer is a spazzed out right now... So, to my point *throughout the following please take no offense at what I am saying* Hmmm.... Your perpective on NaruSaku interests me, because later in the series, it does seem that there is quite some evidence behind it. A) Naruto still likes her, a lot. He's liked her the entire series long, and never changed his mind (in a serious, not perverted way) B) This is previously coming from a devoted SasuSaku fan, a major one at that. C) Just wanted to add this in, Masashi Kishimoto commented once that he wanted to add some more romance in the series. D) I swear that in the manga their is some evidence. Ex: Sensei *not Kakashi, some other dude* and Sakura are sitting down while Sakura is healing Naruto's wounds (He turned Kyuubi). Sakura feels horrible about how the only things that she can do for Naruto... *periods added for dramatic effect, lol* are so small. Sensei explains that it is not the things you do for the person that matter, it is the feelings you have for them *Hmm.... Naruto would be a pretty nice boyfriend... Sasuke, Gaara, Itachi, and Deidara are better though ^^*. Sakura remains silent. Yamato-sensei *I finally remembered his name, woop-de-doo~!* exclaims in atsonishment *he's kinda slow in my opinion, lol* "Wait, you really..." The sentence never finishes, as Naruto wakes up. He looks up at Sakura, and notices the tears in her eyes. He gets all concerned and asks if Sai *another dude... person.... thing* insulted her. She laughs and smiles, slightly embarrassed-looking. Yamato looks like he's still contemplating what he was about to say. The End Sure you can have your own opinions, but I just wanted to state my own... I kinda like diplomatic arguements, with reasons and stuff like that... hmm.... Well, see ya~!

I wanna see! It's funny though... I remember reading in Twinbell's forum (see sig) where she (he?) said that part was translated incorrectly. To think that a mistranslation started all of this...

But before I begin with my reply, I must warn you, I hate NaruSaku with a passion. I'm not saying it's not possible, I'm just telling you right now that it is my least liked pairing, and I refuse to support it.

A) Naruto liked her in Part I, yes, but has it been said in Part II whether he still liked her or not? If you ask me, I haven't really seen any signs of that. Naruto seems to be focused only on Sasuke right now. I haven't seen many, if any, NaruSaku hints coming from him. Those dates? I don't take those seriously, so I don't count them. Besides, they remind me too much of back in Part I when he had a childish crush on Sakura.
B) I know that, but that doesn't mean he's going to end the series with NaruSaku. He even said in an interview that that is how most series like his end; the main guy gets the main girl. However, he also said that he does not want his series to end like others. [Don't ask to see this interview, because I've only seen it once, and that was a long time ago on some Naruto site. It stirred up the fans quite a bit.]
C) THIS is the only main hint I see, but it really bothers me. On the cover of that chapter, there was a picture of Hinata. Now I wonder why Kishimoto put that there.. And also, Yamato had only known Naruto and Sakura for.. how long when that happened? Not very long at all. [And as if a guy that hasn't even known her for very long would know her better than she knows herself. If Sakura loves Naruto, she can realize it for herself. She doesn't need someone else to tell her.] Really, what does he know? And WHY can't the feelings Sakura has for Naruto just be friendly? Why do so many fans have to interpret them into romantic feelings? At least she TOLD Sasuke that she loved him. And I must mention this.. you recall the Forest of Death scene, right? When Sasuke was going on a rampage and Sakura stopped him by hugging him? Well, don't you remember just before the "In reality, you.." scene you're referring to in Part II, Sakura attempted to stop Naruto when he was going on a rampage, too? She -failed- to stop him. He even knocked her back and injured her. Kishimoto could have had Yamato saying that, to add on to the Team 7 love-triangle even more. But if you ask me, he's hinted at NaruSaku and SasuSaku both a LOT. Either is a highly possible pairing. [As well as SasuNaru/NaruSasu.]
But look, my main gripes with the NaruSaku pairing are these:
1.) Most of these 'hints' started popping up after Sasuke left. You know what that tells me? That the pairing excludes Sasuke, and -majorly-. If Kishimoto wanted to put Naruto and Sakura together, why couldn't he have started throwing us hints in Part I? He gave us a few, but none of them reached the level the SasuSaku hints did.
2.) In my honest opinion, it would completely ruin Sakura for me if she just woke up one day and go: "Oh, I never loved Sasuke at all! All this time.. it has been NARUTO that I love!" What kind of bull is that? And all the training she's put herself through -- I know it's not ALL for Sasuke, but most of it is. Not to mention the fact that she spent the entire first part of the series fawning over Sasuke and staying by his side. It would just.. upset me so much if she got with Naruto in the end.
3.) The two of them are too alike for my liking. I personally find NaruSaku to be a dull and boring couple. Cute? To me, not at all. A lot of times when they're together, I find them a little annoying. Two loud-mouthed hot-heads? In a relationship, most people look for a complement; not someone identical (which is also one reason I support the SasuSaku pairing).
4.) The fandom. I know this is a lame reason, but there are so many NaruSaku-tards that piss me off it's not even funny. I LOVE Sasuke, and to see so many of the NaruSaku-fans bash him because he 'gets in the way' of their pairing just disgusts me. I can't stand people who bash characters for stupid reasons like that. And then there are the ones who are positive NaruSaku will happen because the main guy and the main girl ALWAYS get together. [I also hate the cliche main guy x main girl pairings, just so you know.. but I'm sure you've realized that by now.] Hm.. and I can't forget the ones who call us SasuSaku fans delusional, and say that we should 'open our eyes' to NaruSaku. Know what? I gave NaruSaku a try, and I just didn't like it. At all.
5.) TRUST. In a relationship, you need trust! Do you have any idea how many times Sakura has hidden things from Naruto? I can't think of all the instances, but I can think of two -- (a.) Back during the Chuunin exams; Sasuke told Sakura not to tell Naruto about the Curse Seal. She didn't, even when Naruto asked if she saw a strange mark on Sasuke's neck. (b.) Following Naruto waking up after transforming into the Kyuubi; Naruto saw the scratch mark on Sakura's arm and asked her how she got it/where it came from. I forget her reply, but I know it wasn't the truth. [I must also add this: it was obvious on more than one occasion that Sasuke had complete trust in Sakura.]

Wow. I'm sorry. I didn't know it would come out that long. But trust me.. if I had discussed the reasons I support SasuSaku, it would have been WAY longer. Let's just be thankful I didn't get into that.. much.

As for the mistranslation, that certain part where Yamato was talking to Sakura and was suddenly interrupted when Naruto woke up... I had read somewhere on Twinbells' Forum (I'm trying to find it.) that apparently the way it was translated was a bit off and was not supposed to hint love... Or perhaps I didn't really read it and I'm just hallucinating. Perhaps it's just my brain's way of comforting me with all the "Narusaku moments" going on...

Well, even if it was a mistranslation, the damage has been done. You can't convince millions of people that Yamato wasn't hinting at love, but trying to comfort Sakura instead. I think it could go either way, incorrectly translated or not.. but it doesn't matter. I'll support SasuSaku either way, all the way.

And I just found out, my best friend in the entire world... likes NaruSaku.
I almost DIED. I'll post what she said after I asked what pairings she likes: Quote: Well.. I was never really a fan of Sakura at the beginning. And since I kinda like Ino, I'd pair her with the totally hot, Kiba. (Kiba is my second favourite guy after Neji! Hes a doggie! :3) Weird? Yes. But I like it. Of course, the traditional NejiTen. My favourite guy, along with my favourite girl, pair em together, and you get a totally awesome pairing. And lastly, TemaShika. Theres hintings, and I like it. O_O -sniffle- She only likes one sane pairing, and one that I actually like, and thats NejiTen. (Although I dont mind ShikaTema.)
