"Alright, but once we get to Cherrygrove, we'll rest fo the the night," Jaeshan told Ryka sleepily. He sighed. At least they'd be able to go back to Vermilion Gym and fight Surge with sifting through those wretched trash cans again.
Jaeshan leaned back in his seat, wondering what the Cherry Blossom Festival would be like. He'd been to Johto before, but never Cerrygrove City. Travels with his parents had taken him to the busy cities of Goldenrod, Olivne, and even Blackthorne City. He hadn't even set foot in Kanto before, a week after he'd captured Poochyena on the outskirts of Littleroot Town he departed for Kanto, the prospect of exploring a new region.

[2]Ryka had fallen fast asleep by the time the train pulled into Cherrygrove. Things were still in preparation, so the festival wouldn't be starting until the morning. Braching himself, Jaeshan carried the sleepy Ryka in his arms, along with both of their bags, off the train and was relieved to see the Pokemon Center wasn't too far away. He gave yet another Nurse Joy a nod as he set Ryka down gently on one of the couches and covered her with a blanket. She looked so peaceful, and he smiled at the thought of what a heavy sleeper she was.
He gathered up the 8 Pokeballs between them, and handed them to Nurse Joy, who was stifling a yawn herself. When everyone was fully healed, he placed 4 of them inside Ryka's backpack, only to have them all burst out of their Pokeballs and cuddle with their trainer.
"You guys are great," he said, patting them each in turn as he set his own Pokeballs. "I think I'll take in the sights," he murmured, stepping outside into the cool night air.

[1 domokun ] Jaeshan soon found himself bored as he walked around. Nothing was open yet, and there was hardly anyone about.
"How boring.." Jaeshan muttered, his hands in his pockets. Mightyena let himself out of his Pokeball and stood next to his trainer. "Should've stayed at the Pokemon Center," he sighed, sitting down on a bench. Mightyena jumped up beside him, resting his head in his trainer's lap. "Too bad I'm not tired," he chuckled. The two sat for a while longer before heading back. Jaeshan curled up in a big, poofy chair since there were no couches left, and after a while, he too fell asleep.

A water type, Keegan thought, looking down at Althena in his arms. The baby Psyduck was fast asleep, looking content. "Now I'll be able to defeat Roxanne with little difficulty," he smiled. "That is, as soon as you learn a water-type move."
"Psy.." said the little duck in her sleep.

Wanting to introduce his new friend, Mike stood up, Felsic clinging to his hat. "Hey Nitro, you wouldn't mind this little guy hanging around is for a while now would you?" Mike asked in a overly inquizitive tone. Nitro got the message and gave an over the top shrug, winking at Portabello, who tilted his head to the side in an "I don't know..." expression, trying not to smile.
Needless to say, Felsic was confused and a little worried, shrinking down into Mike's hat. The two drew closer and 'inspected' the new addition to the team, stern looks on their faces.
"Of course!" Nitro exclaimed and picked up the baby Pokemon, carrying him over to Portabello. The Breloom did some flips and sparred with the air to show off his moves. Nitro jumped up and flew around in circles, shooting Flamethrowers. into the sky. Felsic squealed in excitement, clapping his little hands.

"Hmm..." Kasiya said, thinking. "Psyduck doesn't learn any water type moves until it reaches a high level," she said, an idea crossing her mind. She set the little Larvitar next to her, and he stirred a little, opening his eyes and looking around.
"Lar?" he asked, rubbing his eyes and blinking. "Lar. Lar!"
Kasiya reached into her napsack, and pulled out the silvery blue disc. "It's HM03," she said. "It's Surf. I bet Althena would make great use of it," she added, holding it out. "Go ahead, these HMs are multi-use. I think she can learn Strength too, but Jaeshan has that HM. Not me," she added sheepishy.

Mitsu walked over to Mike, the small, brown fish in her arms. She knew that her mother had always wanted one, perhaps she could leave it with her when she had gotten her Gyrados back.
"He's so cute Mike!" Mitsu said, and then added, "Just like you!" Mitsu smiled and watched the three Pokemon bond.

Mike was a bit surprised at the compliment, but took it happily all the same. "I think so too, about Felsic that is." He laughed as he saw Nitro tossing the little tot up in the air and catching him, Felsic loving every second of it. "Well at least I don't need to worry about them getting along." Mike looked at Mitsu's homely Pokemon and smiled. "Yours is kind of cute too." He said patting the dopey looking fish on the head.

"You mean I can really use this?" Keegan asked, taking the disc and studying it. "Wow, thanks," he said as he touched the watery disc to Althena's head. It glowed a bright blue as the knowledge passed into the Pokemon's brain.
"Duck.." she said, looking a strange cross between confused and excited.
"Thank you," Keegan said, handing the disc back to Kasiya. "I owe you one."

Mitsu laughed a bit. She didn't really find her cute at this stage, but Mitsu knew that she would eventually change into a magnificient Pokemon. "I suspose so. I think Mom'll really love her!" Mitsu said, "Since I can't have more than six Pokemon when I get Nightmare back." There was no sorrow and no tears this time. Mitsu knew that she'd get him back soon enough.

He was happy that Mitsu was showing more confidence, she was sure growing up since he first met her. "So, is there anything that I can do to help you get him back?" Mike asked, just in case she needed him this time. "I'll be glad to help in any way I can." He let his offer simmer a bit before glancing over to his Pokemon. Felsic was running circles around Nitro and Portabello, who were noticably tired.
"Man, being a mom is tough work!" Nitro said, exshausted at all the playtime.

"Don't forget about me," Kasiya interjected. "I'll help you get him back too." She gave Mitsu a warm smile, and put a hand on her shoulder. "Anything for my friends," she added, glancing at everyone.

"You you two could not completely slaughter my Pokemon when I crash the festival tonight," Mitsu said whipping out her Rocket hat to show them. "You know play along till that guy gives me back Nightmare?" She hoped that they understood, having to fake being a Rocket was bad enough.

Mike was shaken by the plan, not to pleased she had to stoop to that. He remembered all the awful things Team Rocket had done to him and his friends, but realized this might be the only way to get Nightmare back. "As long as you don't do anything awful I'll go along with this charade." Mike nodded his head, still not overly cheerful. "But I won't say anything about the other Rockets."
