Tequila rose to her paws at the sound of Adaeze's voice, "Yes?" she asked stepping into the light. It had well been over an hour of half of sleeping in that god-forsaken cave she wondered how her sister had done it for all that time. Her coat seemed to be matted and covered in the dirt like mud at the bottom. She cared less about it, however she looked to her daughter and seen Benoni's lavendar eyes a pain shot through her own azure ones as she exited the den.
Tabansi nodded and went on his search to find Anu whom he found sun bathing, this irked Tabansi quite a bit. He looked to him, "Your sun bathing while all this is going on?" he demanded. "I assume you know, am I correct?"
Anu looked to him with lazy eyes, he cared yet he was more distant than the rest of the others. "I know quite well, Jasmyn came by." He had seen he had upset his brother but there wasn't much he could do and he knew it, this all had to be sorted out with his parents without him included.

She moved forward and nuzzled her mother, she hadnt seen her in a while. She couldnt help the reaction, stepping back she tilted her head to the side. "Things are bad?" she asked softly, she wasnt stupid, she had a sharp mind like her mother. She looked at her mother, her matted fur, and disshevled look wasnt her.."Mother, what happened to you?" she questioned.
"No, I know things are bad. The question is more...how bad?" she wanted to know, she had to know. Her mind was aflutter with horrid thoughts and idea's. She didnt want to have her parents apart from one another.
Benoni padded towards the river now, bundle of flowers clutched delicately within his jaws. As he neared the river's edge, he dabbed his paw into the wet mud, and inturn he used said mud to dab it on the ends of the flowers. It would help reserve their water, make em fresher longer. With that being done, he cleaned his paw off in the water.

She shrugged still unwanting to talk as much as she wanted to her voice was soar, her eyes red from the tears she had previously shed. She trusted him, and this is what she had gotten for it. "Ask the King," she replied coldly, "Ask if he plans to go with more," it was obvious she still hadn't calmed down completely, "Better yet, ask if it runs in his blood to betray the ones he love?" she replied hastily. Her blood seemed to boil, she padded out away from her daughter, "If you are seeking comfort I suggest going someone far better than me." She walked to a small little oasis near the den but still close enough to tred back and forth, where she slipped into the clear water and watched the mud taint it.

Her brows knit together as her mothers tones, and words. Someone had to stick up for her father, though she didnt wish to go against her mother, she understood both sides. "Ah yes, bitterness...hating the one you love...its a classic." She retorted, by the gods, she had her mothers mouth. "Thought you were a bit stronger mother...going to give up?" she questioned, unsure if she was hitting the right buttons or not. She'd hold her ground as best she could.
Benoni paused to lap up some of the cooling liquid as he glanced around the lands. These were his home now, this is where he found love and given life to their children here, the land provided for them as long as they tended to it...love was their warmth, and at the moment, he was freezing.

The butterfly lioness padded across the savannah, her head held high and proud. Her azure eyes scanned the area, and she paused, scenting the wind. She had crossed into new territory, and that might not have been wise for her. She wasn't entirely sure what to do, and didn't know if the King would be kind and understanding, or cruel and heartless. She let out a roar, announcing her presence before she sat where she stood, waiting to be approached. She wished not to offend, but to stay a while, and rest her weary paws.

Tequila looked to her daughter almost suprised, her azure eyes blinked almost wildly, "Who said I hated him, I loved him. He's the one that gave up on us not me, him. Please don't do this to me Adaeze, I understood Ayana a promise is a promise the other," she swatted at a stone in the water..."I do not. I don't even know, maybe you'll understand some day." She laid down in the water and crawled in the deeper side until it was up to her neck...soothing. She had always loved taking baths just hating rain.
Tabansi's ears flickered slightly at the sound of a roar, femine from what he could tell. While all this was going on he decided to go meet and greet while his parents did whatever, he trusted in Adaeze to talk with his mum. His lavendar eyes scanned the area as he padded out to the echo of the roar. He soon came across a ebony female with a butterfly marking, "Hello," he replied in a rather gruff tone...the same as his father's.

A smile adorned her lovely features as she saw a large male approaching. "Hello." She replied in a soft, almost melodic manner. He was large, and a bit intimidating, but Mari was quite sure of herself, and her ability to charm and make friends, though if this was the king of the land, he seemed a little stand-offish to her. "I am called Mariposa..." She added with shining eyes.

Tabansi looked to her, "Tabansi, Prince of these lands, I'm sorry to see that you have come at a bad time however your stay will not be unenjoyable if I can help it." he smiled dimly he would have done it for anyone, he would hate the sorrows of some to reign on the others. "Have you come to stay for a bit or just traveling through?"

" He didnt give up and you know it. He could have left Nyoka out there by himself without no real home. But no, he brought him here, to have a family. Loving parents. Not to wander aimlessly....Knew you'd be strong enough to mother anothers cub.." Adaeze cried out helplessly, she was losing her ground. Her ears perked to the sound of anothers call, her head turned. Turning her head back to her mother she closed her eyes and shook her head, "Maybe I dont understand, but what I know I dont understand is how two lions, who love each other as much as you and Da can just...let things like this ruin everything...And if this is how love it.." Adaeze spit , " I dont want to love...ever." Her tones were now much like her aunts.

Ayana was about to answer, but only watched as the lioness left. She paused, contemplating her situation and what to do next. She flicked her ears a few times, eyes narrowing.
"Mama?" Bakari looked up at her curiously, "What are we going to go now? Can I do find Da?" His voice was so... innocent. Ayana couldn't help but smile slightly.
"Not yet, my son. I think it would be best to leave your father be..." She bent down and nuzzled the cub slightly. She then straightened her posture and looked into the cave at any remaining inhabitants. "My son and I will be out and about, wandering the pride a bit before going back to the den where I have been staying" She murmered, "If anyone asks later" She turned and walked off, "Come, Bakari"
"Okee mum!" Bakari chirped, boncing off after her.
"Hey, Bakari. Where are your brothers? I haven't seen them all day.." Ayana asked, not looking down at the cub.
The grey lion shrugged, "I'unno..."

Tequila paused considering her daughter's words and it hurt her to hear her say that she never wanted to love. She shrunk in the water, she half expected to her to leave but she didn't. "At least you wouldn't get hurt," she spat back. She was already regretting talking to her daughter like this but all she wanted to do was sit in this oasis and relax...in other words pout. She didn't she just wasn't like Jasmyn expressing her feelings in that way.

" Yes, but what is life without pain? Its not like he left you for someone else! No. He came back, and told you, was honest about it. And as I hear, even let you strike him without so much as a growl..." Her tail flicked out behind her, she was passionate, firey. She moved towards her mothers hiding spot as she saw it, and striked out at the water. "I might not be as smart as Tabby, or as unfeeling at Anu...but damnit I am your daughter. And I will not stand by and let this fall into utter chaos. Nyoka is your son, as much as he is Da's...will you deny it? Deny him a true mother?" Adaeze couldnt believe herself, her tones were rasied against her mother. She knew she'd be sorry later, and would try and make up for it. She shook her head and sighed. " I do not mean to be so angry. I just, I just dont see why this had to happen...and why everyone is tip-toeing around it. Like its the end of the world..." She flopped onto her belly, showing she wasnt leaving. Her eyes closed as she took another deep breath.
Benoni slowly approached now, having finally made his way. "Adaeze, do not take such tones with your mother." His gruff tones echoed out. He'd heard the female call, but thought it be best if he let it go unanswered for today. Padding towards the pool of water Kila soaked in, he lowered his head and dropped the bundle of flowers that still rested carefully within his jaws. "They bloomed from the earth of where I asked you to be mine.." Was all he said before turning his bulky frame away. He wouldnt push her to talk, to accept his flowers...
Dakota had been following silently behind his mother and brother, but having spied Tabansi making his way towards the boarders. The young cub took it upon himself to follow after him. Upon wobbly legs, he quickly grew tired as he hid among the grass. Watching, his oldest brother speak to the unknown lioness, with a sqeak like yawn he tried to keep his eyes open. The mid-day sun was warming his body, making it harder for him to stay awake.

"I've traveled far, and my paws are tired..." She started to say she would just be staying the night, but impulse made her say different. "I'd like to stay a while, if no one would mind... I'd hate to be a burdon." She thought on his words again and then added, "But If I've come at a bad time, perhaps I should continue on with my journey?" She didn't want to go, but if it indeed was a bad time... it would be rude of her to stay.

Tabansi looked to her, "I'm sure you could be no more of a burden than my aunt's tounge, and don't get me wrong I'm not speaking of ill of her she just has a mouth," he chuckled. "It's just a family issue I suppose," he replied. His orchid eyes turned to an scent and peered down to a younger brother, he scooped him up without a choice and carried him back to the den motioning for the female to come with.
Tequila's ears flared back as she heard Benoni's tone behind her as she had turned from Adaeze. As she briefly seen the flowers she dunked her her head under the water and came up doing some what of a body roll and standing up retaining her usual perfect posture, whether it be to hide the tears she were holding back or just for the freshness only she knew. She shook herself and her fur seemed to puff out a bit. Her stomach seemed to lurch at the sight of the flowers...she was still mad and kind of wanted to stay mad but she had already made up her mind of forgiving him she was just playing hard ball now. However she picked the flowers up and carried them with her to lay down in the grass and just look at them for awhile.

Mari watched as the large male played babysitter, before deciding to follow him to wherever he was leading her. It was sweet, that such a stand offish character would still be a brother to a little one. Her own family had been split, her mother angered with her father for having more than one mate. Being the only one who survived her mother's second pregnancy, one kit of three, she was often pushed around as a young one. Mari smiled tenderly, glad that the cubs here were watched out for as she followed in curious silence.
