Haar didn't seem to make note of the other's protest. He was a man on a... The young commander simply shook his head, he was too tired to be rattling off comments in his mind. Turning down another hallway, opening up yet another door, Haar grinned softly as the two finally reached the hospital wing. Upon entering the small wing, Haar frowned softly as a cleric of some kind rushed forward with a relieved look. "Commader-" The dark haired man interrupted him with a heavy frown, "Where's Ceris? I need him to take a quick look at someone," he murmured, taking a step back before allowing the other to continue. "He's been gone all day! Apparently there was a pretty bad accident involving the trainees earlier tofay but...I don't know why he's not back..."
Haar's red gaze widened slightly before he gently nudged Alti towards the healer. "Make sure nothing's broken, would you?" He simply would have to wait until he got things situated here before he went off looking for Ceris...and...god why the trainees? They were so young...

((mwaha I love fact that Faryn isn't an only child... ))
Faryn had been fast asleep for little over three hours. He slept on his side, silver hair collecting in a pool on his pillow and highlighted by the few rays of moonlight which managed to evade the dark curtains of his room. He slept shirtless, a pair over silver silk boxers adorning his lower half, though covered by sheets in his sleep.
Sleeping deeply in the quiet room, it was hardly noticeable when a soft, quick, pattering of feet sounded in the distance. It drew closer and closer to Faryn's bedroom until the door was hastily pushed open and a small boy of seven years ran to the oldest heir's bedside. "F-F-Faryn!!" he cried loudly. Faryn was jolted awake by the loud voice in his ear. Abruptly sitting up with alarm, he glanced wildly around the room and threw a petrification hex with a sweep of an arm to turn the intruder to stone. It was then that a glowing light from the left side of his bed caught his eye. His dark pools settled on the small, black-haired boy who was now surrounded by a bubble forcefield of glowing, blue light. Several moments passed of Faryn glaring at the boy before the forcefield was lowered. "What in father's name do you think you're doing, Pluto?!" he hissed angrily, "I might've killed you! Are you that daft?!" Of course, it was highly unlikely that Faryn would've been able to touch Pluto, for the boy's power revolved around protection and forcefields. Pluto, as he was called, hung his head for a respectable number of seconds before climbing on top of Faryn's bed and throwing his pajama-clad arms around his half-dressed brother's torso. They didn't even encircle his brother completely. With a rather disgusted expression at the gesture, Faryn tried with much difficulty to detach his younger brother. "Gah, what.. what are you doing?!" Pluto only shook his head and buried his face into his brother's chest childishly. It took the cold prince a moment to realize his chest was getting ... wet. Pluto was crying? Faryn sighed. He wasn't good with this. He never was good in the.. nice, comforting big brother role. "Er.. why don't you go see Muertian, eh, Pluto? Or Sylvia? They'll take care of you..." he said, awkwardly holding the back of his brother's head. Pluto shook his head and sniffed. "I-I don't want them. I-I w-want you... " he cried with a bit of a hiccup. Faryn looked helplessly around the room. There wasn't even a trace of the boy's nanny. "Where's your nanny?" "She doesn't know I'm gone. She went to g-go talk to Treza's." Faryn took a deep breath. He'd just have to take care of Pluto for now. Gently putting his hands on the sides of his brother's shoulders, he grabbed them and unwound the boy's arms from his body. He sat the boy in front of him to face him and ran a hand through his curly, mussed, black locks. Crystal blue eyes were shiny with fresh tears. In the darkness, Faryn hesitated before he pressed his lips to the boy's forehead, as his mother used to do to him when he was younger and really upset. Swallowing a lump in his throat, he awkwardly questioned, "So.. um, what's wrong, Pluto?" The boy shyly hung his head, his lip quivering. "I had a n-nightmare," he whispered. Faryn had to fight the urge to laugh. He probably wouldn't've remembered how, but it was that feeling in your cheeks, egging you on to break into a grin. "Why are you afraid of a little nightmare, Plu? You've got all the protection in the world! You're the one with all the forcefields, right?" he said, a little incredulity breaking through his voice. Pluto's face screwed up in a frown. "Don't make fun!" he pouted, fighting off tears. His blue eyes then cast themselves downward, and his voice cracked. "I-it was about you," he said, tears slipping out of his eyes, "I dreamed Mommy took you away. I dreamed you died. You don't have a forcefield..." Faryn was a bit taken aback. He knew he wasn't exactly the most protected as he slept... but was that why Pluto had come to him? It was so strange. He never let on that he shared any admiration with Pluto. If anything, he usually found him a bit of a nuisance. His younger brother was a little too touchy-feely for his liking. In another attempt, Pluto lunged himself at Faryn, the impact toppling his brother down to lay on the mattress as his arms hugged him. Surely enough, that blue forcefield from before reappeared, engulfing them both. "D-don't let Mommy take you away. Please don't," he cried childishly. Faryn stared at the ceiling for a few moments. Maybe if he just let the boy go for a little while, he'd stop in a few minutes.

And I start back up with skating lessons tomorrow so I will be scarce on Thursdays and Saturdays. =o Just thought you might want to know. *ornot?*))
Alti followed the man without any further protest, but he was glaring daggers at the back of his head. His orange eyes flickered in the light of the candels and torches that lighted their way, seeming even more flame-like than usual. He remained silent when they reached their destination, standing moodily, shoulders slouched, arms crossed and leaned slightly to one side, a scowl on his lips, slightly behind Haar.

((owo THANKYOUTATO<3333~ I love it. Sorry, I must have forgotten to say thanks earlier. ^^;;;; ))
After about twenty minutes of laying there, his younger brother attached almost like a leech to his bare chest and unable to fall asleep because of the blue light from the protective barrier, Faryn heard a barely audible shriek coming from another part of the castle. He hated how it always took the nannies so long to realize something as important as a royal child was missing. They ought to be punished for their carelessness. Faryn gazed downward and noticed how Pluto's breathing had slowed, his tears dry on his face, and his eyes peacefully closed. Such a young one could keep up a barrier in his sleep? Faryn was slightly impressed. Silently, he moved with the little boy to the edge of the bed and slipped into his own slippers. There wasn't enough time to bother with a dressing robe. He'd rather not have the nanny wake his father up in her panic. The king was very irritable if woken up for menial purposes. Though he was petite, Faryn could lift and carry his brother just the same. At that age and with his genes, Pluto was hardly heavy.
So Faryn walked silently through the castle, his hands grasped together beneath Pluto's backside, the sleeping youth's arms encircling his neck and his legs hanging limply by Faryn's waist. It was a good thing they made him walk with all those damned books atop his head when he was younger so that the prince never lost his balance in situations like these.
When he arrived in Pluto's quarters, all was in a frenzy. The lights of the candelabras were all lit and finally, the youngest prince opened an sleepy eye. "Where am I?" he murmured, the forcefield fading. "STOP EVERYTHING THIS SECOND!" Faryn raised his voice above the ruckus. The room practically froze. An eyebrow twitched irritably as a maid rushed forward to take Pluto from the eldest heir. He let her relieve him of the sleepy burden. A rather silent awkward moment ensued, as the silver-haired prince stood half-naked under the scrutiny of every gossipy servant of the household. Faryn glanced around and ran a hand through his hair. "He was with me the entire time. That's all you need to know. Put him back to bed... or..or something, okay? I haven't the time for such trivial matters. If he can't sleep, someone read to him," he ordered in a voice that could not be denied. Inhaling deeply, he added, "I want to see the head evening caregiver in the hallway right now." Then, the prince turned on his heel and exited the now held-open door into the hallway and waited for the woman to come.
A rather portly, middle-aged woman stepped out of the room nervously and shut the door behind her. "Mildred Wickham, your majesty," she introduced herself nervously. Faryn eyed her cruelly. "Yes, Ms. Wickham. Pleasure. Now, tell me, do have the faintest idea what time it is?" "3:24 am, sir?" "Precisely. A bit late for evening visit from a younger brother, isn't it? I assure you I didn't invite him for tea at 3 in the morning. In fact, I was sleeping, Ms. Wickham." He advanced upon her stout frame until she backed into the wall behind her. "Are you so completely incapable of doing your very simple," he took a moment to sneer over that crucial word, "simple job of watching over my brother as he sleeps, that you might as well be... say, a stone statue which notices nothing?" He placed a hand on the wall beside her threateningly. "I ought to remind you of your pathetically dispensible situation, madam. So I will. Next time I have to step in and do your job, you might just find yourself being a permanent stony fixation added to our courtyard. Do I make myself clear?" he hissed. "Y-yes, your majesty," she whispered in a voice betraying fright. "Good. Have a nice evening," he said, recomposing himself and taking on a much more businesslike tone. He began his return route to his bedroom, a breeze nagging at his silken boxers and ruffling his sadly beautiful silver locks.

Jillian had been standing on the lake for some time. It was... relaxing, to say the least, watching the darting colors of the fish. But that peace was shattered by the sound of a scream from the castle. His head wipped around, he lost concentration, and in an instant he was in the pond, thuroughly drenched, the fish fleeing at once. The pond was quite deep as well and before he recovered his wits, he was a distance from the surface. He swam up and clamberd onto the shore, sopping wet. He made his way hastilly to the castle, trying to wring out his hair and clothing as he ran. Who had been screaming? He reached the castle and looked around for the source of the commotion, finding nothing. He decided that, whatever it was, he might as check to see Faryn was alright and it was then, as his mind was preocupied, that he ran head-long into the prince.
**
Sayael's eyes drooped and he yawned again before falling into a deep sleep filled with thoughts of the trip later that day. He turned over slightly, his brow furrowed, and there was suddenly a loud popping sound and a giant bag materials on the foot of the bed. He frowned in his sleep, another pop sounded and a rolled up map dropped on top of the bag, which had been joined by several other, smaller parcels.

[[@Mie: Aw, thanks. <3 I tend to draw a crap load of art for role plays that I enjoy. X'D I haven't had a ton of time but I'll hopefully whip up a better picture of Haar and then maybe MAYBE one of Peyton just for the heck of it because I love him to bits and pieces.
@Sona: I love your posts. They make me happy on the inside. <333]]
"U-uh...yes sir," the exuberantly meek healer murmured quickly with a sort of nervous expression, turning towards the amethyst haired teen with a sheepish smile. "Uhm, sir could you- uh- your arms, sir," the cleric sputtered out in a hesitant voice, gentle hands trying to untangle the teen's arms and have them rest at his sides. "I can't really examine them when...when they're crossed like that," he said with a cautious grin.
Meanwhile Haar was pacing around the edges of the room, his expression one that of extreme thought. How could this have happened? How many were injured? Who was injured? Why wasn't Ceris back yet? Had the families been contacted? With a heavy sigh, the young commander attempted to chastise himself from his apprenhensive thoughts which were so numerous and thick he could've cut out a slice of it and served it to some poor soldier for breakfast.
"Do you have some mulberry pie, sir?" Asked a soft spoken boy who's hair color was nearly indiscernible with all the mud and plant bits clinging to it, not to mention the rest of him was covered in the same fashion.
A much younger Haar looked up from his sitting position in his tent and gave the boy a rather quizzical expression, "Mulberry? Don't think I have any pie in general...where are your parents anyway? They can get you something to eat I'm sure," he responded in a slightly concerned tone. Why was some kid wandering around the grounds?
"I don't...I don't have any parents," the boy mumbled, picking at an ant before it crawled into the soldier's cream colored tent. It was a nice looking tent compared to the rest...he had thought maybe this one could give him something to eat. "I just thought...mayb-" He was quickly cut off by a strong hand curling around the back part of his collar. Haar dragged the boy out of his tent with a sigh.
"Come on, I'll get you something to eat."
Snapping out his hectic thoughts, Haar looked up suddenly with a frustrated gaze. "Are you done yet?" he snapped at the young man who was currently crouched down checking out the teen's ankles with a frown. Looking up with a slightly shocked expression, the cleric quickly replied, "A-almost sir...there's some swelling here in his ankle. Nothing's broken, I'm pretty sure at least, but maybe it's just sprained. There's not much I can do with magic about a sprain," he said with a frown.
The young man's eyes narrowed slightly, "Well, can't you help with the pain if not the swelling?" He asked with a curt tone, hands curled up into fists as his sides. The healer looked slightly embarassed, "I...yes, I'll go get a...a stave," he muttered before scampering off to do so.
Haar gave Alti an apologetic expression, "I'm sorry about this. If Ceris were here you'd be home by now," he muttered, obviously tense about the situation he had just recently been informed with and also the utter incompetence of the cleric.

Neh, Tato, wanna do an art trade then of one of our charas or sommet? :"D))
Grudgingly, Alti uncrossed his arms. He looked upon the healer with a look of undisguised contempt. He hated doctors - all doctors. Not just the ones who told him his tendencies were unhealthy. Doctors tried to fix people - like they were just some sort of machine that was missing a small but crucial peice or that needed something changed because they were warped. His scowl deapened. Doctors always thought they knew what was best for you and they knew nothing -- nothing. He glanced over at Haar. "It's fine," he said, his tone icy. He hadn't really meant his thoughts to penetrate his tone of voice - he knew he must have sounded rude - but he decided that he didn't care, either.

((Aww, thanks you guys! whee I must say your posts make me quite happy as well ^^))
Faryn disregarded the fact that he wasn't in what the king would consider 'appropriate nighttime dress.' He was tired, irritated, and very much interested in being in the dark comforts of his bedroom. Faryn turned the corner and thwap. Something big, wet, and slightly smelling of pondwater had transferred a decent amount of wetness to the entire front of Faryn-- boxers included. It was a good thing the material didn't become sheer when wet. Bouncing backward a little, Faryn gazed down in disgust at his now slick chest. He slowly raised his head to the one in front of him.
.... Jillian?!
His fist clenched and unclenched. What was he doing out of bed? "What have you been doing?! Taking an evening swim in the pond?!?" he asked demandingly. "I'm not a towel, you know!" Of course, Faryn hardly knew how closely he had guessed to the truth.

With the sudden noise, Dax jumped with a gasp. His immediate response had him turned around, arm outstretched near the source of the sound. Just in front of his hand had already begun to form a growing shard of ice that looked sharper than any knife. He was ready to attack, but.. there was no movement in the room. Just a bag. Again he was startled by the second 'pop' when he saw the other objects appear. It was then he remembered Sayael mentioning his ability to transfer items from place to place.
Moving to the foot of the bed, the blonde tested a hand on the bag. It didn't look like goo, it didn't feel like goo.. It must be the prince's actual belongings. Impressive for him to do it in his sleep, he thought to himself. So, that was one thing down. Mostly all he had to do now was finish his own packing, meet everyone for the last time, and they'd be off. Off and having the possibility to never return again.
With that lingering thought, he went back to packing. It took another hour or so for him to finish, but by the time he did, he had three large bags stuffed full of clothes, shoes, and other supposedly 'essential' belongings. They'd be fine on the floor until morning. Yawning, Dax stripped himself of his shirt and crawled into the separate side of the bed under the covers. Hopefully he wouldn't be surprised by anything else 'popping' up unexpectantly. Once he closed his eyes and practically buried his face into his pillow, he easily fell asleep.

Jillian stepped back hastilly, offering his hand but knowing that Faryn wouldn't take it. His face turned a delicate shade of pink - he hadn't blushed in years - as the other spoke. "More or less... Only... I wasn't really... swimming...." He hesitated. Faryn would probably think his experiments were a complete waiste of time - after all, no one really tried to walk on water in earnest. It was pointless. None of the Nation lay behind waters - after all, the sea was outside and didn't separate any of the Kingdoms.
**
It was the sun that woke him... the slight light creeping through the window that made it quite clear that dawn was upon them. He got up slowly, carefully, as not to wake Dax and noted that he had done "sleep magic" as half-sister had dubbed it. He walked to the window where the light was shining through and opened it, a slight breeze blowing through to ruffle his hair. A cold breeze. He shivered and sneezed and then hastilly shut the window.

The shift of bed when Sayael rose barely caused a stir from Dax, but the feel of that refreshing breeze from outside and the sudden sneeze had the Ice Prince's eyes open. His toes curled as he stretched his legs beneath the sheets as he remembered that the other boy had, indeed, stayed in his room. "Too cold for the Prince of Darkness?" he asked amusedly, bringing a hand up to rub his sleepy eyes.

[[@Mie: Mn, sure that sounds fine to me. :D]]
Haar was much too worried about other things, other people, to really let the young teen's words effect him to any great extent. Muttering plans to himself, the officer hurried the cleric along with a quick push to his back sending him much cloer to Alti than the poor healer would've liked.
"U-uhm, s-sorry," he stuttered while quickly taking an ample step back. Bending down the young healer swiftly held a dark stained staff over the young man's ankle and muttered a few words under his breath. A firey red glow surrounded Alti's lower leg for just a few moments before it sparked and faded away with a few sharp snaps. "T-that should h-help..." He murmured, standing up with a some difficulty. "Well, I...I guess that's all I can do for you," he said with a slightly regretful expression, backing up a few more steps before turning to the anxious commander. "S-sir, I think you should try to find Ceris..."
Haar nearly rolled his bright eyes before taking a few steps towards Alti, boots clacking nicely against the hard wood floor. Taking the younger man by the arm Haar muttered something of a thanks to the cleric before dragging the other out of the room. "Again, I apologize. Would you like to come with me while I fix whatever has happened, would you like me to show you a room, or would you prefer to be sent home right now?" He asked in a blunt tone.

[[omfg. -stealsPeytonandeatshimup.... jk.- Peyton. is. ADORABLE. <33333
Poor Haar. That seems like a nasty little cut. -gives him lots of bandaids and neosporin xD-]]
Predictably, Faryn did not take his hand. In fact, he barely heard what Jillian was even saying. "Right. Not swimming. Fine..." the petite prince repeated absent-mindedly. He was far too tired to deal with this right now. Sidestepping Jillian, he brushed past the still sopping-wet teen and made to restart his trek to his quarters. One step. Two. Three-- Faryn hadn't anticipated a water trail upon the smooth, polished granite floor. The treads on his slippers didn't catch and down went the prince in one unceremonious fall. He landed smack on his back, the impact creating a stinging, burning sensation on the bare skin. "A-ahh--" he cried out in a slightly elevated voice. That would probably leave a mark or at least make his back rather sore for a few days to come. He began moving his arms to help push him up into a seated position.

"Don't forget I have Earth blood in me. I'm very sensitive to the cold," he said with a frown. "I'm not exactly evergreen like those things you call plants out there." He gestured with a hand out to the mountains that lay near the palace. Of course, that wasn't fair. There was the flower and herb garden Dax had showed him earlier, but not much did grow here by itself. It was mostly the evergreens that waited for a spring that would never come.
**
((Uwaa, I luffles them! *squeaze* Especially Peyton!! =D <33333 Nnn, anyway, who do you want me to draw? Mine's Tsubaki... http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/34637247/ His profile is in the "Land of Eden" RP if you want to see it. =o))
He was not at all reluctant to leave the hospital wing and didn't even say "thank you," although his ankle did feel a bit better. It was much easier to walk on now, at least, even if it still sent slightly dulled shock of pain up his leg. He frowned. He didn't want to go home, he knew that for sure. At the very least Haar didn't stare at him as if he was some sort of traitor, even though Alti had only shown him hostillity and told him he was from an enemy nation. And he didn't want to sit quietly in bed. "I'll go with you," he decided finally, his words emotionless as his face, although his flickering eyes betrayed some of his thoughts. He would never allow anyone to bring him home. Like a child - a child that has done wrong. It would be like admitting he was ashamed of himself. He would just go home himself - but later.
**
Jillian was surprised by the prince's lack of interest - he had expected several, if not many, questions - but then... it was late. He had been about to set back towards his room or back to the pond, he hadn't decided yet, when a strangled cry made him whirl around. It would have been amusing to see the prince, usually poised, elegant and with some new scathingly eloquent remark on his tongue, spralled out on the floor but he didn't so much as smile. He hurried over to Faryn, yet again offering his hand as he kneeled quickly by the prince. "Are you alright?" he inquired. "I'm sorry - I shouldn't have left such a... mess..." He looked back over the large puddles of water, feeling a little embarrased at his own clumbsiness.
((EDIT: Just as a note for everyone, although I can be on for quite a time today, I'll probably be scarce on weekdays (especially Thursdays and Mondays) and maybe Saturdays. I'm having to deal with a bit of a schedule as well as some issues going on with my family and it's getting difficult to keep up with things. I'll try to get on when I can, but I can't promise too much.))

((<33 Tis okay, Mie. I think everyone would understand-- life comes before gaia! ))
Faryn pushed himself up to a sitting position, fully feeling like this had to be the worse night he had had in years. The tips of his hair were stained with the wetness from the puddle; they dripped intermittently onto Faryn's shoulders. He groaned softly and put a hand up to shield his eyes from Jillian for a minute. When he took it away, the boy's black hues stared down at the hand. "No. I'm not all right," he answered harshly. This time, Faryn grabbed Jillian's hand, but instead of letting the other help him up, he pulled hard on the hand to make Jillian lose his balance as well.
