Richard follow Gaius down the stairs, slowly but he had a far easier time going down than going up. It was one thing when Moreau made sly comments about his age but the pure... Richard wasn't sure what to call Gaius'... Eagerness to help, other than insulting.
Richard produced a stack of envelopes and slapped them on Gaius' chest. "Here." He said tersely. "If any of these get taken down by the staff, put them back up. Keep a couple to give to anyone who seems confused."
With that Richard plodded towards the stairs of Duplex 74.

Gaius took the stack with a confused expression. "But... I don't have any tape!" What a big help he was... "Should I, uh, slip them through the doors maybe?"
He followed after Richard as he plodded along, rather like an over-eager dog. "Hey! Maybe we can leave a bunch of these in some of the common rooms? Like the caf even! Or wait, do you think that'd be too obvious? Would the staff even care if we're informing people, since they'll find out eventually anyways?" He babbled as he tailed the older man, easily keeping pace with him and rather over-excited to have a 'mission' of sorts.

Richard gives Gaius an exasperated look as he reaches the stairs. For a moment Richard imagined Gaius turning into a small over excited dog. Didn't quite fit the wide nose though. "Just get them to people who need them. I don't care how and I'd perfer you didn't inform the staff." Richard was referring to anynomous persons who we probably chuckling at this little scene.
Richard was glad to meet someone with out a pity party but Gaius was proving to be highly skilled at annoying the piss out him. He started up the stairs, daring Gaius to try and stop him.

Gaius stopped short of the stairs, watching him go up. "Well, uh, alright then... I'll just put them in the doors that don't have envelopes yet? And don't worry! My lips are sealed! Not a word!" He nodded strongly. "You have my word!"
When it appeared Richard had nothing else to say, Gaius looked a bit awkward as he tried to figure out the best course of action, then began to back away a bit. "I'll just, uh, get to my job then?"

Was the man THAT dense? Appearently so. Subtly was appearently lost on this man. He suppressed a sigh.
"Yes, yes." Richard made a shooing gesture, as if Gaius was a small child. "Go to it." Richard began to laborously pull himself up the stairs.

"Right, um, well, have a good day, then!" Gaius turned tail and trotted off along the duplexes, leaving Richard to his own troubles. The horsey fellow was too glad to be 'helping' to pester him more about his health.

[New RP]
A couple clouds broke up the endless blue overhead as Gaius trotted back along the path from the beach. It'd been weeks since his first encounter with the octopus, but Gaius was still dutifully fulfilling his end of the bargain. However, the untouched waterbottles of vodka he was finding in the secret drop-off was beginning to worry him. Oh well, maybe he just didn't want the vodka at the moment, or was too busy doing whatever it was octopi did.
So Gaius could be found walking along the perimeter of the village, three bottles of clear, potent alcohol cradled under his arms, and an idle whistling tune issuing from his lips.

Sid had, for once, decided to keep his wandering limited to the village. He'd finally gone to the trouble of taking a shower, had even made a feeble attempt at trimming his beard, but he only felt slightly better for all that. The old AC/DC t-shirt he was wearing was relatively clean, but he didn't know if he could stand to hang around the laundromat again after what had happened the last time. And yet he had no trouble walking through the village square...
The whistling drew his attention, and without consciously making the decision Sid moved in the direction of it. He was terribly surprised to see it was Gaius. He seemed like the whistling type. The bottles he was carrying piqued his curiosity even more, so Sid picked up the pace just enough to catch up.
"Hey," he called.

The call got Gaius's attention, snapping his head around to spot Sid. The friendly smile he'd put on faultered as he recognized the guy, whose image came with a whole lot of awkward memories. The Caf, the laundromat... Still, Gaius raised a free hand in greeting, shifting his load slightly.
"Hey Sid! Uh..." he scratched at his neck and quirked a self-conscious half-smile, "Sorry about running off last time... You dealing okay?"

Sid shrugged. "Ah geh by."
He shifted most of his weight over to the cane and got to the point. "Whas wif the... the bottles?" He smiled in his own unpleasant way. "Pickin' uh a habit theah?"

Gaius blinked blankly and looked down at the bottles, then back up at Sid, failing to make the connection. "Habit?"
He picked out one of the bottles and held it up, showing the vodka label clearly. "I was just picking them up from the beach bar... oh! OH!" He burst into a laugh, Sid's implication finally clicking. "They're not for me! Nah, I mean, I don't think I could even get down one bottle, let alone three!" He slipped the bottle back under his arm and shook his head. "I don't drink this stuff anyways."

"Ah don' think anybody coul' geh a whole bottle of tha' down. Ah tried once. Din'n go well." He scratched his chin as he thought of that sad incident, but ever since his mouth had unhinged he'd been less inclined to ramble on about such things. He blinked and shook his head as he was launched back into the present. "Who're they foh?"

Gaius's open manner took a sudden strange shift towards shifty as he glanced around and looked more than a little guilty. "They're, uh, for a friend... aquaintance... guy..."
No no, that wouldn't do. He shouldn't talk about his secret opperation in public! Not when there were cameras everywhere! Gaius stood up straighter and plastered on a big grin as he attempted rather poorly to act casual. "I mean... it's just for a little party! You know, get the guys together, make some drinks... with vodka... the kind of stuff guys do for fun!" He continued to grin, hoping that whoever was listening in besides Sid would buy that.

"Uh-huh..." Sid said. He stared at Gaius, which dragged on for several uncomfortable seconds. "Yuh a terrible liah, y'know?"

He flinched as if hit. "I am? I thought I wasn't doing too bad..."
Sighing, Gaius rubbed again at his neck and glanced around. "It's a secret..." he confessed, "I'm helping supply someone, but he hasn't touched the stash in a couple days... I sure hope he didn't get in trouble because of me..."
