Hikari Chou

Needless to say Hikari was shocked. The man truely did have the same type of card. ..'cept his was death. Most befitting. However, did her card fit her? She wasnt so sure, but didnt question that at the moment.

"Y-yes...it is the same..." She spoke, chewing on her bottom lip. "I...thought I was the only one..."

The Doctor laughed a bit nervously and returned the card to it's original place and closed his jacket. As a nervous habit, he took off his hat and adjusted his long blonde hair in its ponytail, tightening the neatly tied black ribbon. "So did I, Miss! until I met that.. that Larry fellow, he seemed to have a card aswell."

He thoguht over Larry in his mind, as with that odd child whose name hadn't been given yet, to Severin's knowledge. Such peculiar things had been going on these days..

"Larry?...was he the man who was with you?" She questioned returning her card back to the chest of her dress again as well to keep it safe from the wet elements. "...so...then there are more then even two out there..."

She pondered over this thought for a moment. What was so special about the card anyways? Why was a strange woman going around passing out Tarot cards. It made no sense to her. "How...many of us do you think...there are?"

"I would not know, Miss.." Severin answered truthfully, placing his wet hat atop his equally wet hair. His blue-gray were troubled, but that was his usual look. "This is a matter for another time, though, I must say. What is of importance is that we get you and your sister to your home. This is dreadful weather to be about in."

Who knew if there was a crazy woman passing out these cards willy nilly? The whole matter confused the Doctor greatly, and he didn't enjoy it when he couldn't figure something out.

Hikari nodded her head thoughtfully, allowing herself to ponder in silence over her card even more. Her hand found its way to the small of her little sisters back and gently moved to lead her sister back to the house. They really did need to get out of the rain...

The captain gave his empty mug a good, hard stare, using it as the focus point for him to ponder. “I dunno, what’s dere left teh talk about?” he mused more to himself, rubbing the stubble on his chin with one hand, and turning his attention away from his mug and more to the ceiling, with all it’s rafters, cobwebs, bugs and things.

Mercy got up slowly, pushing herself up from the chair. Even with all her weight she didn't make the chair creak, "Well, I'm not sure there is anything else to talk about." She dusted herself off and grinned when she was done, "We can find some interesting stuff out there," she signaled out the door.

Annie shook her head slowly, her eyes raised up to the heavens as if asking for patience. She blew purple hair out of her face with an impatient breath, and flexed her foot again. She watched as her guests left, enjoying the cool breeze that swept into the room when they opened the door to exit. She would have murmured a good-bye, if she had felt the need, but she didn't. They were such heroes, Annie thought bitterly. Willing to risk life and limb to get away from a drunken man, beating upon a young, helpless thing like myself. Grinning wickedly, she stood, and walked behind the counter. Maybe it was time to get a new job.

Or, she could head down towards the more pitiful reaches of the city and join in a gang of orphans. Annie sneered at the very thought. Honestly. Annabelle Lewis, consorting with orphans and weaklings. Obviously, it was time for some rest. Annie settled herself on a bed of old flour bags and let sleep take her, ready to awake to a land that, at least, was not drenched in rains.

Zasar’s chair, however, did creek when he stood, and quite loudly. He was a large man.

“Pe’aps,” he responded, removing his hat in a flourish, and patting off any invisible dust it may have collected (it was the only article of clothing important enough to check for specs of dirt). He stepped around his chair and politely pushed it in under the table, replacing his hat on his head, and nodding in agreement towards the door.

Mercy had chuckled at the sound of the chair creaking and left her chair out, she was not so polite. Her small steps disturbed the dust and other things that had been on the floor, though the noise of stuff being pushed away by her feet didn't bother anyone it did draw attention to her. She eyed those that were around with wary eyes, but continued to the door. Her intention was clear, she was leaving an she would return when a favor was needed, "Farewell." She said lightly as she opened the door and step back out into the dreadful weather. She held the door waiting for Zasar.

Yami felt a nudge on her back, edging herself towards where their said house was. It was still raining, and she smiled, thinking. "This is pretty nice..." despite that it was still gloomy weather. Turning to her sister, she asked "We have a house?"

Feyd sighed, staring at the rain splattered window and the growing darkness beyond. With fingers red and raw from work he felt over the window frame one last time, the sanded oak smooth against his tender skin.

His poor fingers. The hands were one of the actor’s most expressive features, fixing a shattered window was work for a hired hand, not a professional. With another sigh he pressed his hands against the cold window in an attempt soothe the burning.

He had spent much of the day rummaging about for the glass to replace the broken panes and the rest of it installing them. Sanding the wood had been the hardest, so much had chipped and splintered in the stranger’s exit. But now, now the window was prefect. With a last fond glance at his handy work, and a wince on account of his hands, Feyd took a step back. Loosing the heavy drapes to fall over the window once again he plunged the room into darkness cut only by the light of the candle on the crate beside him.

Mercy cocked her head to one side as she had watched the elaborate Zasar move and be warm with charism. She reflected a moment with the knowledge of her cold nature, but shock it off. She once in a while felt as if she was not truly who she said she was, but that was irrelevant when it came time to work. "You're polite nature astounds me, Zasar, you are a pirate and all, but yet you have this kind nature to you, unusual, I must say."

She removed the whips and gently snapped it so that it would remove the mudd that had finally dried. She didn't want it to build up and block the taps on her boots. Her grin at the sound of the snapping from whip to boot grew unpleasant and almost malice in nature.

Zasar shrugged his shoulders. “’Ve b’n on theh shores fer a while, ‘ve adjusted. A li’l.” He’d never taken much time to think about it that way. Not that he couldn’t go back and proficiently work his old job again. He was quite sure he could.

Fixing his hat out of habit, he raised an eyebrow faintly.

Hikari turned her attention to her sister and offered her a warm soft smile. "Yes, Yami. We have a house..." She spoke it softly, trying to sound as cheerful as she could in the situation she had currently found herself in.

She moved to lead her sister and the doctor down the correct path to the Chou sisters residence. The rain had made her hair slick and shiney and as she moved to brush it away from her eyes she was reminded about how she had left her dress at Annies. She gasped aloud as she looked down at her attire, before looking back from where tehy had come from.

She chewed on her bottom lip more then a tad otrn between running back and getting it, or getting it tomorrow. She chanced a glance at her sister and gave off a defeated sigh before shaking her head to herself. Something was wrong with Yami. Leaving her out in the rain wouldnt help in the least. She'd get it back tomorrow along with a newly cleaned bath robe.
