Vague I thought you get to change your name and gender for free twice? Yes, and after over a year of being on Gaia, this is my third time doing the gender switch.

Keithing Nusumi I wanna be a fairy princess crying Those are almost my exact words. eek My Grade 11 English teacher wanted us all to bring something we could trade with someone else in the class as a year-end sentimental gift, that we could share a story about. (She was a very special high school teacher; one that made us talk to inanimate objects.) I gave someone a pastel artist trading card of mine, and in return I got a glow-in-the dark wand. The story behind the wand was her mother bought it for her as a souvenir her first time going to Disneyland. So long as she had it she would "always be a fairy princess." When I was given it, our teacher told me that I could be a "fairy prince;" like I said, special. Now I hadn't slept studying for the exams the following week, and was feeling the need to be obnoxious in the class just once. So I retorted with: "Did it ever occur to you that I might want to be a fairy princess?!" She didn't know what to say to that. No one messes with me and my fairy princess wand. xd Edit: I know no one needed to read about that, but it sure sounds like a good idea at 4 in the morning, especially after a full pot of tea to myself. Joyous insomnia. But it's amusing! whee I hould get some fairy wings in real life and wear them to school on halloween...

Astri eek JoVo, you're a CHICK. *blink blink* It's oddly amusing that the Crew (Damian, Astri, and myself) were the last ones to actually notice JoVo's avatar switching genders. I must have done a double-take when I refreshed and the female avatar popped up. sweatdrop As for Halloween, I'm thinking something along the lines of "forgettable face at the local drag bar," or "random bystander at the Rocky Horror Picture Show showing at the local art house." Honestly, I haven't dressed up in years, it just doesn't appeal to me like it use to.

[Q] JoVo I prefer to think of myself as a liberal, independent womyn. Ha! More like a wyrm... A limbless serpentine JoVo would creep me out. He's just saying "womyn" to be modern about it, or possibly to attract any lurking lesbians. Most straight men I've seen veer away from that term. Fast. I never did understand why.

Im sorry to offend anyone but the word 'womyn' reminds me of all the feminists. They're are lovely people fighting for a good cause but..really. >.> Maybe its just me and the fact I identify better with males and cats but things like the Oxygen Channel disturb me.
Feminists are scary. Womyn are scary.

I didn't spend the last few months in the thread or in the GGN completely belligerent. wink If Xena played on WTN (Women's Television Network, Canadian's Oxygen before Oxygen), I would be scared. Though Sue Johanson, and the ocassional British comedy would make it all worthwhile. ...Not that I can watch it anymore, since cable has been cut to make way for useless sattelite channels. There's nothing wrong with feminism. Any sort of activism is alright in my book, so long as they make a good point. It helps to remind me that there are people out there that are actually applying their mental power to some sort of change in society.

It helps to remind me that there are people out there that are actually applying their mental power to some sort of change in society. The thing I love the most is the close relationship between the gay rights and the feminist movements. Both are gender-related. The former seeks the rights of people to love their same gender, the other seeks the rights of people to take on and assimilate the characteristics generally associated with the opposite gender without discrimination or ridicule. I strongly believe that once we achieve the wholeness of the goals in one of the two movements, the other's goals will be achieved automatically. The victory in one will spell victory in the other.
