Flowers always make people better, happier, and more helpful; ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
The reunion with her sister hadn't gone quite as planned, though that was likely her own fault. Now that she thought about it, writing a fake ransom not to try and surprise Koryn probably wasn't the best way to go about playing a joke on her sibling. As her big sister had tried to explain, it went too far. That was the thing with Remi though, she often missed that line and while she said she had learned her lesson, it was a mistake sure to made time and time again. The butterfly was nothing if not eccentric and a bit overboard. It had taken longer than she thought to explain to Koryn that she hadn't actually been kidnapped by the moths and that she had just been trying to scare her. Once again she would boast about her own plan and ask Koryn just how proud she was. After all, it was usually her sister that managed to startle little Remi and not the other way around. Instead she had been met with Koryn's most angry face. It looked out of place on a girl who was full of laughter and smiles. Remilyn knew she wasn't really mad though, sisters could see through things like that. After the initial shock and confusion. Remi of course had to do the one thing she had been dreading most. The only thing she had been dreading about this trip to Beacon. She had to explain why the tribe elders had chose her to join Koryn here and all of the events that lead up to that... including how she had lost Caelum... how she hadn't' been quick enough or strong enough to save him. She had been weak, just as she always had been. However, weakness, guilt, regret, they were emotions she had never truly felt until she watched the light leave his eyes. A childhood full of a happiness unlike any other had suddenly shattered all around her. Still, the elders had found her worthy of attending Beacon to one day protect their tribe which meant she was able to be reunited with her older sister. It was something she needed more than anything right now. Remi was still her same, overly bubbly and friendly self, but the trauma had made its mark in more than just physical scares. The memories were a plague that would forever haunt her and the regret an ailment that would forever nauseate her. Koryn had always known just what to say and exactly how to make her feel better, and that hadn't changed in the months they had been apart.
Still, Koryn had her own team and her own classes to attend which meant Remi couldn't spend every minute with her, even if she wanted to. It didn't mean the faunus spent her time alone either. The girl was overly friendly much too bubbly, and lacked any sort of social ques or boundaries. Now Beacon had two eccentric butterflies on their hands, rather than just one. Remilyn saw her sister as often as she could, but when she was busy, the tiny huntress-in-training found other ways to occupy herself. One of her favorites pass times was wondering the gardens and helping to grow the flowers there. The girl had always felt the most at home around nature. While a lot of that might have derived from her semblance, it was also due to the fact that she had grown up in a vast forest. She wasn't sued to all this technology or all these big buildings. Often it confused her and she got lost. Already she had lost that funny little screen thing they gave her several times. A scroll... that's what they called it. What a silly name. Five including the most recent... which left it as MIA. She hadn't quite managed to track it down yet but it didn't seem like a huge issue. She hadn't even managed to figure out how to use it yet, so its not like it could really benefit her. Besides, it was bound to turn up eventually. After all, things didn't just vanish. She had probably left it in the gardens. Maybe she could convince someone to help her track it down with her. A game of hide and seek, only the individual hiding was not actually person. It could be fun, or at least, Remilyn could make just about anything fun. Granted, she was pretty easily entertained, especially in this whole new world full of strange new people and things. It seemed there was a surprise around every corner, something new everywhere she went. For the months of boredom she had faced without her sister to occupy, Beacon had proved to be anything but that.
Seeing as she hadn't been assigned to a team yet, she had been sleeping in the cafeteria with the other students who hadn't yet been assigned teams. She had to admit she was beyond excited to find out who her team was, even if she was a bit disappointed to not have the opportunity to be paired with her sister. Remilyn could sometimes be impatient, at least when it came to waiting for things that excited her. However, sleeping in the cafeteria with all the other newbies seemed pretty fun. It was like a giant sleepover, so she was too busy enjoying that aspect of her new life to be worried about being impatient. Little did she know that the strange events of a laboratory far away was going to turn this day into something entirely different than she ever could have imagined. The night before she had prepared her bed in a bit o odd way. While most people ad chosen to layout sleeping bags, Remilyn had grown herself a little patch of flowers to curl up on. For her it was more comfortable and it reminded her of home. Sleeping upon the flower bed, iridescent wrings reaped around her shoulders, she looked like something right out of a story book. It didn't last long though. Due her faunus nature, she didn't require nearly as much sleep as normal humans. She had always been an early riser, granted she had never thought of it as that until she came to Beacon. Back at home, her waking time was just the same as everyone else. Here it left her bored and alone in the dark morning hours for longer than she could really cope. By the time the other students were beginning to awake, she had long sense grown restless. Something else seemed off too, but she couldn't quite put her finger on it so she just contributed it to her own boredom.
Not able to remain still any longer, Remi finally pushed herself to her feet, or rather she used her wings to lift her off the ground before beginning to cross the cafeteria in something that was between flight and a slight skip. Her feet would touch the ground just long enough for her to leap into the air and fly just hovering off the ground a few more paces. The trend continued, followed by a soft giggle here and there until she reached the enter of the cafeteria. Her attention would be caught by a bright, nearly blinding light. Before she could even think to stop herself she began heading towards it, Pale green eyes wide with a curious wonder. Before she could reach the source of it, the scent of flowers would catch her nose. Normally she would attribute it to her own semblance, but surely the scent from her bed of flowers had long since dulled. These were fresh, and they were close. A curious gaze would follow the vines to that of a white haired boy who just moments later was bumped into by another male student. No sooner had they set themselves straight would they had an overly excited Remi on their hands. Her wings would carry her just inches away from them, probably much too close for comfort, especially for anyone with personal space issues. She would drop to the floor with a soft thud, the ends of two pale blue pig tales just barely brushing the floor. Glimmering sea-foam eyes would first lock with that of the darker haired male, a wide grin on her lips before she came nose to nose with the blue eyed boy. "You can grow flowers too?" The butterfly asked excited, their noses nearly touching even as she spoke. She had never once met someone with a semblance like her own and it seemed she was enthralled by the idea. Little did she know he was actually possessing her semblance at the moment. She hadn't yet managed put together the pieces of what exactly felt off. Just as quickly as she faced Vance, her eyes would travel back to Kokkivo. "And you make light?" Nose to nose with him as well, she would wait for his response before falling from her toes back to her heals and giving them both some breathing room, if only a little. "I'm Remilyn! But you can call me Remi if you want, most people do." By most people, she really just meant her tribe and her sister. After all, she hadn't really been at Beacon long enough to make friends, friendly as she might be.

κόκκινο Βασιλιάς
Company: Vance and Remi Location: Gym
The white haired male seemed to be okay with the fact that he was just ran into which well made things easier for Ko. However if the male had an issue then he would’ve taken a more diplomatic approach to how he handled the situation. “Yeah I usually don’t like to make a scene...I just dont know what happened.” The red head chuckled sheepishly as he rubbed his head. Vance cool! I have met a friend! I gotta tell Rose about him and well today! Ko thought to himself as his face visibly beamed with joy and pride, that to most would be out of place given what all just happened. “The name is κόκκινο Βασιλιάς, but everyone calls me Ko,”/b] Of course when he means everyone he means every from his village and Rose sometimes. I wonder if he knows whats happened here, or if he is new as well. Ko thought too which just as he thought he opened his mouth, “Are you new here? Is this your semblance?” He asked almost just as he thought it up.
As he awaited Vance’s reply a child with wings and interesting hair and eyes seemingly floated right up to the two of them. She seemed excited about Vance and what he demonstrated earlier with the plants. So excited she neglected personal space. Ko looked away as she spoke to Vance. Soon the child switched her attention to him and once again was nose to nose with Ko, who blushed quite a bit and tried to make eye contact. “Oi could you give me some space?!” Ko asked as he usually didnt, but it was different most people knew the right amount of closeness to an individual. “Also I dont usually produce light.” He said as he tried to make a barrier but it wouldnt happen. Damn seems like I still can’t use it. He thought as he took in the child who introduced herself as Remi. “The name is κόκκινο Βασιλιάς, but everyone calls me Ko. Do you know about personal space, what happened? Also why are you so bubbly?” Ko introduced himself, but quickly moved onto the questions that rattled inside of his head.
Once all of the small talk was done Ko looked around and sighed. “Well whatever happened I can’t imagine we are the only ones this affected. I wonder how the others are handling. Plus I wanna see how others are handling whatever thing happened to us.” Ko said with a slight smile trying to defuse any tension. Level: 0 Posts: 3
The person seemed friendly which eased Vance as he listen to his new friend introduced themselves. The man's name was unique as he had never heard one like it, but he would refer to the name that he was given. Ko then asked him about his semblance which was the sign that he might be having the same problem. "Yes... My semblance seems to have disappeared and has been replaced with one I haven't seen. Though, I haven't had a chance to see other's powers because I finished the exam yesterday." The boy said while he wondered if this really was just a prank against the school's "fresh meat." Before he could share the possible outcome, the appearance of a new person suddenly appeared in front of the two. The newcomer was a young lady who almost touched noses with Vance and seemed excited but for some reason, familiar. He was more confused when the faunus asked him about his ability of the plants growing around him. The boy was about to answer her when she moved her attention over to Ko and began to question about the orbs of light. Still, it would be an interesting thing to tell her older sister about, with all these crazy things happening. Wait...
Vance didn't have an older sister, and who was he thinking about there for a moment. The person was a Butterfly Faunus as well and was standing by... The girl that was next to them now. The boy would then look at the girl how introduced herself as Remilyn, in her bubbly way. He introduce himself like he did with Ko, but was surprised that his new friend asked about the woman's about personality. Vance didn't mind what she was doing as he preferred people to be themselves and not containing how they felt. With this in mind, he hoped that there wouldn't be a problem when he took a picture of the Butterfly Faunus, as the semblance knew who she was and made a flowers appear around her when she landed fully on the ground. The boy had to take a picture as it was his current semblance's owner and Remi's wings were a swirl of natural colors. His attention would then moved to Ko as he brought up what it seems that there were both thinking, that they weren't the only ones effected by this odd change.
However, they would need a plan of attack if they were going to figure what had happened. "Well, I was going to make my way over to the cafeteria before I saw the plants growing on the wall... Anyway, the idea is, if this isn't a prank, we could ask if they were having the same problem. We could go to the infirmary, but if this is school wide, I think that they would be packed by now." Vance would speak as he thought out loud to the other to give suggestions on what they could do. With the option of asking the teachers about what was going on, they had three good plans. The boy would take a deep breath as he waited to hear what the others had to say about the matter. A new thought then came to his mind because he had found Remi; how would they return the semblances to their owners. If they could find the person who did this, maybe they could find a way to reverse what had happened to them. Vance's gaze would wonder off with what they could do, but they were limited with what the could do.
““Don’t say you don’t care. That’s the one thing you should never say. You will surely regret those words"

Flowers always make people better, happier, and more helpful; ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Remilyn was met with a reaction she was growing increasingly familiar with, but one she hadn't had much experience with up until these last couple of weeks. What had always been so normal, a trait shared between both herself and her sister, was something that often made people here uncomfortable. She didn't quite understand yet, but she also kept forgetting. At his small outburst, asking for personal space, her expression would falter and fall, almost like a child who'd just been told she couldn't have any candy. However, unlike a child, she seemed to get over it rather quickly. Once again those pale green orbs would light up with curiousity, lips coming together to form a small 'o'. A small hand would reach up, delicate fingers looking to prod the soft rosy color that had filled Ko's cheeks. It seemed she had already forgotten his plea for personal space and unless he moved or otherwise stopped her, a finger, skin as smooth as silk, would poke the squishy part of his cheek before running the length of his jaw and eventually falling back to her side. The smallest of giggles would bubble from her mouth, her lips pulling into an adorably satisfied smile. It wasn't that she was teasing him for blushing or even trying to point it out to embarrass him further. Rather it was like the little butterfly had never seen anyone do something like that and she was utterly enthralled by it. It spoke for that childish innocent that seemed to emanate from her and a nativity that went far beyond what could be considered normal for any sixteen year old. Not only was she lacking in the experience of technology and the other such wonders of Vale, but also the most basic of human interactions. One thing was made very clear about Remi, both in the way she dressed and the way that she acted, she wasn't from around here.
Ko's questions were ones that under normal circumstances might offend a person. By the expression on Vance's face, it seemed the white head boy might be worried about just that. Instead, sea-foam orbs would blink in surprised confusion as if she were trying to figure out exactly what he meant. After a moment she would tilt her head to one side, pale locks falling over her shoulder like the most exquisite waterfall. It was not the signs of anger or offense, but rather amusement. Lips pulling into a grin, the girl would burst into a fit of giggles as if he'd just told the funniest joke she'd ever heard. "You're funny!" She would exclaim between laughs. Why was he funny? Well truly it was a mystery to anyone but Remi and even then, it could be questioned whether the butterfly actually knew why she was laughing. Once the giggles came to an end, she would straighten up and come to lock eyes with him once more. She was probably still too close to comfort, but significantly less so than when she had first approached. "Personal space... well, people keep mentioning. Koryn told me people keep warning her about it too... but..." She would babble on for a moment, speaking as if they should know who Koryn was and not bothering to explain. She also made it clear that personal space was not a concept she had yet come to grasp and perhaps one she never would. Eyes would suddenly widen as she came to his second comment, almost like she'd just remembered it. "Bubbly?!" Head swinging to and fro, long locks of hair whipping back and forth along with her, she seemed to be looking for something. When she came up empty, her eyes would return to him once more looking slightly disappointed. "I don't see any bubbles though." Lips pulling into a small pout, it seemed that once again she hadn't truly caught onto what he was saying. One statement held true, one that always would, while the butterfly could be a bit of a handful and definitely overly flamboyant, there was truly never a dull moment with Remi around.
Just as the last time she had shown an expression akin to anything other than happiness, it lasted hardly a moment. Just like that, she was back to her usual bubbly self. This time it was something entirely different that was distracting her. As the flowers and vines began to twist and grow over the floor, swirling around her feet, sea colored hues lit up once more, a wide smile spreading on her lips. Watching as they grew and played around her, she would bend down, sniffing one while softly brushing her fingers over the stem. At first she wouldn't even realize that Vance and directed his camera towards her, completely content with the miniature garden around her. Once she heard the hushed click of the shutter, her head would towards him, head tilted to the side. Once again, where most people might be upset by someone snapping pictures of them while unaware, it once again proved to be the opposite with Remilyn. She didn't become bashful or try to hide herself from view either. Instead, she turned herself towards him and struck a silly pose, offering a grin so wide her eyes scrunched a bit at the corners, small dimples revealing themselves in her cheeks. Once the camera was put away once more, she returned to a normal stance, gaze dropping to the flowers around her feet once more. The girl hadn't quite caught on to the situation at hand. While it was true she could feel something was different about her, she was far to jubilant to pay it much mind, let alone have it affect her usual cheery mood. After all, there was so much to be excited about and the prospect of meeting new friends was a sufficient enough distraction.
It was only when Vance began to speak about a course of action that the puzzle pieces finally began to fall into place. Ko's explanation of how he usually didn't produce light, Vance's initial confusion towards the flowers, and her own sudden lack of the flowers she usually had trailing behind her. Straightening up, she would look first back and forth between the too of them before holding her own two hands out in front of her, examining then as if she were looking for something different, as if they weren't her own. At first she simply looked confused, but the longer she stared, the brighter the curiousity burned in the pale green orbs. She didn't even look the slightest bit concerned, sticking with the trend of reacting about exactly the opposite of what a normal person would. "If I can't make flowers... I wonder what I can do." It was a thought spoken allowed, mostly to herself, but the words would be followed with a dramatic swing of her arms. Why she thought the motion would help to enact this new semblance was a mystery to everyone, including herself. There was a stark shimmer of red aura and then, without warning, the staff that had been strung across her back was flung across the room. It would fly over the heads of several students, only narrowly avoiding hitting anyone before it collided against the wall. The spear tip that usually remained hidden within the wooden end if the staff glinted dangerously beneath the florescent lights. "OOPS! SORRY." Without hesitation she would dash across the cafeteria. Her wings aided in her speed, but, while she was normally a quick and agile individua, she seemed to be moving even faster than usual. She very nearly crashed into several people on the way, but eventually made it to the other side. After retrieving the staff and hiding the spear tip safely inside once more, she would just as recklessly return to her two new friends, only she didn't quite stop intime. Feet skidding across the tile floor, she would bump right into Vance before stumbling backwards and handling flat on her butt. "Ouch..." Remi wasn't normally a clumsy person, but her tendency to get so overly excited often caused mishaps like this. It seemed she didn't have much of an input on whether they should head to the cafeteria or the I infirmary, but she also hadn't had much time to think on it. After all, she had only just realized that something was actually wrong.

"You can't control it, can you?"
A voice broke out through the crowd, Howl's slender frame shadowing over the student sitting alone upon the gym floor. It seemed some weren't as lucky as he had been when it came to their semblance being altered. Howl still wasn't completely sure what his new power was. All he knew for sure was that something was incredibly off, he felt as if though his body had been invaded by some kind of foreign entity. Although he couldn't say it wasn't a welcome change for the time being, normally he'd be in the same shoes as this girl currently was- stuck with a semblance that would never stop. It made it harder on him to see another student suffering as he had, a grimace forming upon the soft features of his face.
Howl took a seat next to the other student, his bright hazel hues beaming toward the pale blue eyes of the woman. Occasionally his gaze would shift to the sparking fiery hands. With great hesitation in his movements he reached out and placed a reassuring hand upon her shoulder. A soft smile breaking loose, even with the change in his semblance he was still worried he might've hurt her by doing so. Normally he'd have to wear protective gear just to make sure he didn't electrocute an unsuspecting classmate. "I'm sorry, it must be really frustrating for you." He spoke very gently in her direction, his voice quiet and calming. He ran his free hand through his hair, fingers lacing with the long strands of blond as he did so. Despite his saddened words he couldn't mask the tiniest curve in his lips. It was impossible for him to hide his happiness in being able to have some small form of physical contact with another person. Something that most would easily take for granted was a treasured moment for him.
"I know how it feels." He continued, despite the serenity in his voice he sounded pained as he spoke. Likely eluding to the fact that he too had a semblance that could be difficult to cope with. Except he had been living with his far more than a few hours, this was more of an escape for him than a burden like some of the others. "Is there anything I can do to help?" Howl was doing his best to be considerate of his classmates needs. With flaming palms it was probably difficult for her to accomplish normal day to day things. He wondered to himself if she had even been able to eat anything to do, how she had opened doors. It was amazing how the smallest of tasks could become an obstacle to some, especially if they were so unused to what they were experiencing. Howl knew first hand what some of these hardships could be, even experiencing a few himself over the years. He wanted to make sure that his fellow student was taken care of, if he could.

He seemed a bit lanky, in a sort of unhealthy way and had longer hair than she was accustomed to seeing on boys. When he assumed she couldn't control it, she nodded.”Yeah, but, I don't think it's like I'm the only case. Everyone looks like they're tryin ta herd cats with their semblances, an', seein as this one ain't mine, I'm gonna assume their ain't either. I just got bad luck on the draw. I woke up with my bed on fire. Hence the bandages. My name's Skylar by the way. But, everyone just calls me Sky.”
She scooched over for him to sit down as he placed his hand on her bare shoulder. She was in a backless tank that tied around the neck and a pair of tiny shorts with sandals on. It was the easiest thing for the nurse to get her in."I'm just glad I got out when I did. My feathers are already singed as is. But, I can still fly at least."She smiled as he offered to help her, if she needed it."Aww, now ain't that sweet. Thank ya, but, I'm alright. It kinda randomly goes off and on, and it don't hurt. Howl was slightly taken aback by her strong accent, not sure where to place the dialect. The female student seemed very kind though, and that was all that mattered. He looked concerned by her story, the idea of waking up to a fiery hellscape sounded awful. It seemed however that she too had her mind on others instead of her own well being, worried for the droves of students that were estranged from their regular power. "I'm Howl, nice to meet you." His voice still rather meek, his outward appearance and his mannerisms being far more feminine than one might expect. He gave off a slight smile at her introduction, feeling as though there was something very warm about Skylar, something other than her current semblance. Taking a moment to release his grip from her shoulder, realizing he likely let his hand linger there a little too long. Howl couldn't really help it in this case, he could recount on one hand how many times he had made physical contact with another human being in the past year. It was as if he instinctively jumped at every chance he could get now that his semblance had been replaced with something less destructive in nature.
"I'm glad you've got someone looking out for you." He remarked, his sunny gaze seeming rather soft at the thought. The nurses here sounded kind, however Howl had learned to cope with the difficulties of his own semblance on his own long ago. Or rather he was forced to figure it all out for himself. Never being surrounded with such kindheartedness as this school had shown him so far. "Does it hurt?" He questioned, motioning to the signed ends of her wings, surprisingly he didn't seem too taken aback by them. Howl had grown up in poverty, and at that level of society there were many faunus as sad as it was. One of his only friends back home had been a faunus as well, so he was accustomed to the animal appendages they carried, despite the variances.
When Skylar brought up the powers returning, it seemed to catch Howl off guard. His body language changing as he closed himself off, squeezing tighter into himself. He wasn't sure how happy he'd be when they inevitably returned to normal. Still he tried to tell himself that it was for the better, people like Skylar didn't deserve to suffer through these changes. "I guess things will go back to the way they were, eventually." He commented, more to himself than anything, his quiet voice masking the sadness he felt at the thought of it all. He didn't miss having an uncontrollable power, which just made him pity the female student even more. Howl wondered if she had put much time into trying to understand and control the flames sprouting from her hands. If she had experimented ways for her to mask the flames, or burn them out.
"Want to try lighting things on fire?"
It took him a moment to realize what he was saying, and how crazy it all sounded out loud. He cleared his throat in an embarrassing fashion, his cheeks turning rosy, prickling from the blood pooling in his face. Howl sprung to his feet abruptly, turning to face Skylar with his body although his eyes were cast downward and off into the distance. "I-I mean maybe if we burn a bunch of stuff the flames will go out, like sputter- you know?" His vocabulary was suffering, Howl was stuttering like a fool. Trying to rely that perhaps the flames produced by her hands had a limit, and would need to recharge or cool off after prolonged use. They could test some theories out, try to help her better understand and control the semblance she was currently stuck with. Seeing as nobody was really sure how much longer all of this would last.

— As soon as the truck that was unknowingly carrying Sky had closed in on Beacon, Sky would hop off, even when it was in the middle of moving. The strange thing that happened to him though, was that he couldn't feel the natural feeling of his wind semblance on him. Nothing happened, which made him somewhat weirded out. Either way, Sky had landed on the streets, and rolled out of the way. Looking at the school, it just made him wonder what anything was going to be like. He never did go to a legitimate school before other than the torture at the orphanage. Going inside, Sky looked around left and right at the people near and next to him, seeing the strange weapons of some sort they'd have and it just had him staring. Sheesh... Looks so cool... Sky would say, as he would wander the entire halls of the school. Everything was so weird to him, and in reality, he might even get lost at some point. It was then that he would find a large gathering at the gymnasium. Opening the door, the first thing he saw were hundreds of students here in this large room which now seemed small in comparison to the volume of the people here. What also had surprised him, was a small petite framed girl with greenish hair come flying across the air with a staff type object at her back, pushing her. Sky was quick enough to get out of the way, but saw her crash into two other guys. Hey! Are you okay!? He said, rushing over to her side. It seemed painful to crash into things like that. But Sky knew more or less where she was coming from, since his own semblance was just as crazy if not used right. That was a pretty bad fall. Sky would say, just to look up to two very tall students. one with brown hair, and the other with white hair. —
With Vance’s word Ko put his finger on his lips as he for once started to think before just spouting off whatever ran through his mind. “I see yeah I haven't had much interaction with others semblances to know if they are off, but I figure if you and I have our swapped and well now Remi too then others might.” Ko spoke as he glanced back over to Remi who looked around for bubbles that did not exist. “Personal space is important to people as far as bubbly. It is a personality trait there are no real bubbles anywhere. Sometimes the person gives you bubbles in your chest or whatever.” Ko said with a chuckle as then next thing he knew a reddish aura appeared as an object flew off of Remi’s back. “Duck!” Ko instinctually yelled out so no one would be injured physically speaking anyways.
Once Remi had retrieved her weapon she came back to them, upon which she slammed into Vance and the two fell on their butts. The male was going to help Remi and Vance up at the same time but noticed another male rush to her aid. This left Ko to resign to help Vance up. “Remi are you okay? Vance are you alright mate?” He asked them both while shaking his head to make eye contact with both of them. Before he acknowledged the new person to join their trio he looked over at Remi. “What was that, that caused your weapon to fly off of you?” He asked curiously before quickly turning to the other male. He wanted him to feel welcomed and apart of their going ons. “The name is Ko I am a first year who currently does have his own semblance and as such has no control over the one I currently have.” He took a big breath in before pointing to the white haired male. “This is Vance he likes pictures and currently might have Remi’s semblance.” Once again another big breath of air before transitioning to the female. ”This is Remi, she is really bubbly and also has a different semblance.” The last big breath came in as he made direct eye contact with the male. “We were more than likely going to go to the infirmary since Vance had that idea to see if others are there as well as to see what is going on.” Ko said with a big grin and closed eyes as he did his signature back of the head rub. As he rubbed his head for a few seconds his eyes flew open as he shoved his hand out. “What is your name? Do you have your original semblance?” Ko asked in a flurry. Level: 0 Posts: 4

She was used to being able to associate someone's name with a color or aspect of color, but, nothing popped to mind for that. When he indicated her wings, asking if they hurt, she opened them, as if to inspect them. The feathers ruffled before she closed her wings again.”Oh, nah, only the heat got to 'em. Couple feathers shriveled up, but, none o' 'em went an' caught fire. My arms hurt though, but, nurse says the burns are minor, should heal quick an' all.”As he mentioned things returning to normal, she looked at him. She could see the disappointment almost. He hid it well, but, the sound of his disappointment was obvious to her. And she thought back to how he mentioned how he understood.
"You ain't got a lotta control over yours do ya? I can't really say I can understand how it feels ta live long term with that. But, life weren't easy for me neither. My Ma an' Pa owned a farm jus' outside the city. Pa died when I was six and, Ma had to run the place with just me and Nana. Nana is like...crazy old. No disrespect ta her o'course. But, she's really my Great Nana. An' I'm small for my age. So, neither o' us could never help much on the farm. Ma just started hirin' hands ta help her an' I did local errand jobs an' such ta help her out. While it may not be the same exactly, I learned ya can't always get done what ya want, or what ya feel is normal ta do. An' in those situations, you gotta just make best with what ya got. No point in dwelling over what ya can't change and, doin so just leaves ya sad an' angry."
When he suggested burning things, her eyes went wide. She was about to reply when he clarified his meaning and she relaxed. Still, she declined."I don' really like destroyin stuff for no reason other than ta do it. An' even if it were for the reason o' getting used ta it...I kinda woke up with fire all around me...I ain't much in the mood ta be near fire right now. I only got out cause I went and wet myself...an' don't ya judge. I dare ya to hold it in when you're wakin up to fire all around ya. At least it out out enough for me ta crawl out without everything catchin ablaze."Despite what would normally be a humiliating admission, Skylar didn't seem at all embarrassed about telling him. ☁█☀█☁█☀█☁█☀█☁█☀█☁█☀█☁█Team:XXXX█☁█☀█☁█☀█☁█☀█☁█☀█☁█☀█☁

“Inspiration is found everywhere you look. The trick is to capture it and make it something your own."
The faunus's response left Vance curious, with how at moment she appeared to be on the tears to being awe from the other boy's blush. The sight almost put him at ease and he couldn't help but let out a chuckle as well from Remi's curiosity. She didn't act like she was from the city, but it did make sense that people all around would come to Beacon to help reclaim the world that was being lost. The innocence that that this girl showed was like a call to arms to continue this fight and pushed for a better tomorrow. Her response was what Vance predicted, not knowing about personal space, but when she tried to search for the bubbles Ko had compared to her, he almost busted out laughing. After, he took the first photo of Remi, who surprised him when she went along with his need of capturing moments and posed for a picture. Well, the boy wouldn't deny her request without words and the shutter from the camera went off again, capturing the moment that she wanted marked. Vance's attention moved to the other boy as the conversation continued about what had happened to them.
The only way they were going to be sure is if they asked the others around the school, preferably someone that had been to the school longer then them. It was that moment Remi's weapon launched out from her back to the others that were in the gym. It might had been bad to say but he was impressed how much distance that it had gotten from were they were and the speed that the young faunus seemed to have now. With this, Vance theorized that it hadn't been a direct swap as she would have gotten his ink creation and not the speed boast that she seemed to have a bit of trouble with now. When thought was made, the boy was brought back to reality as Remi returned with her weapon by crashing into him. There was a sense of déjà vu but this time Vance had fallen as he didn't expect to get hit twice in one day. Once again, time repeated as another individual arrive and went over to help the faunus beside him. While this happened, Ko came over to the boy and helped him back up to stand with the other three. "Yes, I'm alright. Although, if I get bumped into again and another person appears, I will think that have two semblance in me."
The boy then checked his camera while Ko asked what he guessed, that their friend was under the effect of the new semblance in her body. It was nice to have to people on the same wavelength as it allowed them to think of the solution quicker. The camera was undamaged which was good as when Vance was introduced, he took a picture of the new individual. The boy had a sword sheathed on his back, like a hero from a story that was ready to serve justice for his world. He would rest his hand on his camera as Ko introduced Remi and started to go over idea for going to the infirmary. "As I said, I don't know how many people would be going to the infirmary from injuries of their semblance being altered. We could clog up the hallway to those that need help and it would do more harm then good. However, asking the doctor there could be helpful as it would help if this is a medical problem. " Vance said as he began to ramble in the form of thinking out loud about what they could do. Secretly, he didn't want to go to the infirmary as it was filled with the evil device know as needles...
As the young lady brandished her wings in all their glory it had caused even Howl to inspect them with a hint of awe twinkling in his golden-specked hues. Nearly reaching out and touching them before retracting his fingers and letting his hands fall limp at his sides once more. "I'm glad you didn't end up too badly hurt." He smiled coyly, his voice sounding genuinely concerned for her well being when he had spoken. However his expression quickly changed as she brought up his own control over the semblance he originally had. A small frown forming upon the curves of his lips as he nodded his head in affirmation. He could've lived without his semblance and had no qualms with that. That much was surely true, however if it meant that so many others were trapped without their semblance, left feeling more hollow than before- in that case he'd rather be alone in his suffering. Much happier to be the martyr while others were able to continue on happily.
Still instead of dwell on his own misfortune he listened to her story with open ears and a certain intensity. His smile reforming as he listened to her home life and looked impressed with her. She had a strong moral compass and a very mature vision of family, it was heartwarming. "Your mother sounds like a strong woman." He complimented, he'd much rather focus on the amazing person her mother was and show understanding toward the mental and physical fortitude she displayed being able to keep moving forward, rather than focus on the passing of her father. "Judging from what you've told me, she's helped raise a hard working daughter as well." Howl seemed genuinely happy as he continued to speak, his quiet honey-sweet voice was a little more bubbly than usual. Skylar had an air about her that bred sincerity and warmth, like an aura of goodness. It was infectious to him, which was peculiar given his normally melancholy behavior. He was happy to meet such a kindhearted and inviting person at the academy, it had been quite awhile since he'd had such an enlightening conversation with someone else. Her advice was something he would attempt to take to heart and use whenever he was feeling sorry for himself. Making the best with what you're given and not dwelling over the past was something he could definitely do more of.
Feeling as though she deserved some kind of explanation from him after her story from the past Howl did his best in order to shed some light on his own problems. Although he wasn't normally a man of many words, he would sum up his own past experiences in a few short points. "Normally I electrocute anyone or anything I touch." Howl explained as he raised his hands and examined them closely. They seemed normal enough right now, and he had been able to lay a hand on Skylar's shoulder previously with no ill effect which was amazing in itself. Normally the moment his fingertips met with her skin they both would have received a painful shock as a result. "I understand not wanting to destroy anything on purpose, I guess I'm just used to doing it myself so it seems less wrong." The amount of electronics and other items he had completely obliterated or short circuited over the years was staggering. He didn't enjoy destruction either, however over the years it was impossible not to break something here and there when your power was constantly coursing through your veins.
"Waking up like that, it must have been scary."
Concern laced his words, not a hint of judgement or disgust there. Skylar had likely been frightened more in that moment than she ever had in her life. Howl knew what it was like to wake up one day and be terrified at what you had become, his own semblance had come with many tragedies following it's activation. "If it means you'll be back to normal, I'll gladly be waiting for things to change back." Howl reassured her once more, his semblance was something he learned to cope with a long time ago. It hurt him to see so many others uncomfortable with the change in their power while he was feeling happy for himself because things were finally going his way. It wasn't very fair to the masses who were confused and scared by the sudden change.

Flowers always make people better, happier, and more helpful; ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
The little butterfly seemed slightly disoriented for a moment, sea-foam eyes blinking several times as she tried to clear the daze. She didn't notice the newest arrival right away, or rather she didn't see him. As a butterfly faunus, her eyes worked very differently from that of a humans. She tended to be rather nearsighted, so rather than the shape of a fully fledged person, it was just a blur of movement. This could have also accounted for why she had so drastically misjudged the distance between her a Vance and ended up knocking them both over. That and a haywire semblance that was not her own. The interesting thing about her eyes, was the ability to see colors and pick up on movements that are invisible to the human eye. It was a trait Vance might admire, seeing as he shared such a love for photography and art. However, Remi had grown up in a tribe full of butterfly faunus. In fact, she had never even met human until she came to Beacon. She it wasn't a difference she realized she had. As the boy got close enough she could see him clearly, before stopping down next to her, her face would light up at the idea of meeting a new friend. At his question, she would give an overexcited bob of her head, pale teal locks bouncing about her face. "YES! I'm okay! THANKS!" Remi would assure him, just as positive and cheery as ever, despite the fall she had taken. Just as it seemed she did with most negative things, she brushed them off before they ever really had the chance to fully effect her. She definitely wouldn't let them consume her. One might expect her to at least be slightly abashed by her little tumble, but she didn't seem bother by it in the slightest. "It didn't really hurt that bad." She assured them, despite the fact that her backside would surely be bruised. However, she just seemed to have an uncanny ability to let things roll right off her shoulders.
Accepting the boy's help, she wouldn't hesitate to lace her fingers through his and let him pull her up while giving her wings a small flutter for assistance. Landing gracefully back on her feet, it was hard to see how she was even capable of such clumsiness... and vice versa. "I'm okay, Ko! Don't worry!" She would assure him, before stepping over to Vance despite the fact that she had forgotten to release Sky. Once again, she was probably much too close for comfort. "Are you okay?"She would question, bluish hues peering into his own vivid orbs until she noticed him examining his camera. Suddenly bending over, her eyes would roam over the device as well. Not that she really knew the difference between a functional one and a broken one. "I didn't hurt your... your... um..." Voice trailing off, she would straighten up again, tilting her head to the side in confusion as she stared at him. "What is it called again?" She had been on Beacon long enough to figure out the purpose. She had seen a few people use them how. They were like magic little devices that painted pictures inside of them. She just kept forgetting the name, the same way she couldn't remember what her scroll was called... or where it was at for that matter. Eventually she would have to get better at keeping track of that, considering the school faculty shared a lot of important information through it. Not to mention it was the best way to keep in contact with her sister when they couldn't be together. Perhaps it was her outfit to blame and the surprising lack of pockets. After all, it was very minimal, covering the essentials, but not much else, in a vibrant selection of soft fabric, sheer in some places. It probably stood out here, but it was a normal selection of clothing for the tribe. Easy to fit around their wings as well as easy to move and fight in. The less constricting, the better. It also allowed her to proudly show off the insignia of he tribe, vivid colors painted beautifully over her sternum.
Only once she was sure that Vance's picture box was okay would she turn back to Ko, addressing his own personal closer. She still probably stood closer than what was normal, but he did try to abide by his whole personal space philosophy. It was probably something she would forget again and again in the time to come, but she was trying. Even if a big part of that was because she didn't want to get scolded again. Giving a dramatic shrug of delicate and bare shoulders, she would glance back down at the staff clasped in her freehand, the other still subconsciously latched onto Sky. " I dunno... Nothing like that has ever happened to me before." She would state absentmindedly, positioning her staff back on her back until she needed it. "That was pretty NEAT though! Wasn't it! Minus the part where I almost hit everyone in the head... and when I almost ran over Vance and nearly broke his magic box thingie.. and minus when we both fell." The butterfly would ramble on excitedly for a moment before falling into a fit of giggles as Ko took it upon himself to introduce everyone. It was likely good he had stepped in, for in her distraction she had entirely forgotten formalities with their new companion. It was only when Ko mentioned her name that she would finally slide her hand out of his as if nothing had really happened and offer him a double hand wave with the slight twirl of tiny fingers.
Onto more serious matters, Remi would try to follow the conversation between Vance and Ko, but she was already lost. "What's an infirmary?" She would question, once again tilting her head in confusion, causing a waterfall of sea-green locks to tumble over her shoulder. Of course they had medical treatment back in her forest of butterflies, but they didn't have the same advanced technology that Vale did. Their remedies were more natural and she had never heard the word infirmary used before. "Will they know why our semblances have gone all wacko? Maybe we should go and ask. Oh... maybe Koryn will be there! Maybe she'll know!" Once again she rambled on with her own excitement, mentioning her old sister as if everyone there would already know her. Impossible considering as far as her knowledge went all of them were newbies fresh to the seen. Then again, her knowledge of how the real world was very limited and that fact was becoming increasingly apparent in every little gesture and comment, the immense positivity, and the innocent naivety that radiated from her being. "You'll come too, right?" She would question excitedly, turning back to Sky. She wasn't yet ready to separate from any of her knew friends. After all, other than her sister they were they only people Remi really knew at Beacon.

Seeing his curiosity, she unfolded them completely this time, her six-foot wingspan making her look a bit smaller than before in comparison.”It's okay, I don't mind. An' yeah, she took Pa's passin hard, but, she kept workin'. Nana, as old as she is, is a real fighter though. She used ta be a Huntress. Not long after Pa died, little town nearby that our farm's near got attacked by Grimm. Killed a few folks, nearly got me too, but, Nana started swingin like I ain't ever seen before and saved me.”
When he brought up his own issues with his semblance and she tilted her head a bit at him. If one could place a state to that expression, they likely would say air-headed, but, what she said was anything but."It ain't like fire. Fire can last a long time long as it's got oxygen ta burn an' a source. Electricity is much higher in energy dispersal than fire and can die off fast. If you normally produce it, the obvious was ta deal with it is insulatin yourself, but, that ain't exactly fun. Dependin on how much ya generate, you might have a couple options. Electricity is a bunch o' negatively-charge particle looking ta balance out with positive particles. The ground itself would be a great...well..groundin point, long as you ain't standin in water, on metal, or an insulator. You ain't tried some way o' groundin yourself? Like them sport shoes with them metal studs on the bottom, only, they contact the skin in your shoes too? Or, ya could work on like, some battery pack ta power your weapons, an' ya just stick some eletropads ta your skin and the pack absorbs the electricity your body makes? You could maybe find a way ta discharge it too for like a special attack or somethin? Maybe both? Ya might be a bit tired at the end of the day, cause, it tied to your aura an all, but, might channel enough ta let you not zap everythin you touch." ☁█☀█☁█☀█☁█☀█☁█☀█☁█☀█☁█Team:XXXX█☁█☀█☁█☀█☁█☀█☁█☀█☁█☀█☁
