Houou was relieved to see the Mizukage even flash a smile momentarily. While he couldn't shake the overwhelming nervousness, Houou began to feel slightly comfortable as the Mizukage leaned back in his chair.
However his nervousness was quickly amplified when Ojō's identity was brought into question. Even the Mizukage didn't recognize her name...for a moment Houou felt like a fool. Was Ojō an alias... or did she not trust Houou bough to give her real name. Houou lowered his head as he over analyzed the situation. Suddenly Houou registered what the Mizukage had said, Houou jumped out of his seat. "D...did he say princess!?"Houou yelled in his had, noticeably showing sins of his inner thoughts. Quickly regaining his composure, Houou sat and took a moment to collect is thought, so much had made sense but how could he have not seen it...it was her monstrous strength that had really threw him off.
Still looking down as Houou began to give his best description of Ojō from memory. "I met her shortly after I escaped from UHV's conquered village of Otogakure. I was alone in the village of Takumi and found it very difficult to find good work. Suddenly, like some sort of angel of war, Ojō appeared before me and offered me my first real job. We were to rescue a scientist, named Taka, from a local criminal organization" suddenly looking up at the Mizukage with his chin held high, imitating his idol, Houou revealed a warm smile, as he pictured Ojō perfectly in his mind. " she's not like anyone I've ever met in my short time living in this world. I suspected something was off about here by the way she dressed. Her kimono wasn't only spotless, but they seemed to be custom made. Not something you would see on the average woman. She carried herself as though everyone were beneath her, and afterthought short time with her, she deserved to think this way. Everything from the way she talked to the way she moved through the crowded streets, was so graceful that you would think she was floating on her own personal cloud. Her arms always concealed within her kimonos sleeves." With the next series of thoughts, houous smile faded. He wasn't sure if he was meant to see what he was about to describe to the Mizukage. Houou knew he needed to be honest, however he didn't want to betray Ojō. "As the Mizukage, I believe this will be the mot recognizable feature of Ojō. The scars that cover her body, she was quick to cover them up, but I saw them as clear as day after she performed an attack on some local gangsters. There were three flaming lions heads that she created, but I still don't understand how her attacks worked.
Lord Mizukage, I swear to you that this is all I know about Ojō. She was a woman of few words. I give you my word that I have sent the time since then trying to chase her shadow and prove myself to her." Houou didn't break eye contact with Inka as he anticipated his response.

It was obvious something had disturbed Houou's thoughts and Inka wanted to know what.
"And what leads you to believe this woman is a servant or citizen of this village? Senju." Inka tilted his head back, the calm, relaxed air about him still a little tense from the Rogue's earlier outburst. "And if you find she is not of this one, then is your loyalty so fickle as you will defect to follow her elsewhere?"

It's was just that earlier, you made mention of the word princess. If not for the way she fought, I would definitely believe Ojō to have such a title. I am only frustrated that I know so little of the person I hold on such high regard." As Houou thought about Inka's last statement, his smile returned. " she may not have told me everything in full honesty, but if there is one think I have faith in, it's that she wouldn't have sent me here for nothing. When I asked her how I could attain strength like hers, she directed me to Kirigakure. I refuse to believe that I won't see her again if I just follow her words." Looking at the Mizukage with stern eyes and spoke with his chin held high once again. "the subject of Ojō aside lord Mizukage. I am a man of my word and utmost loyalty. Houou could keep his mouth from gaping but his eyes got wider and wider. How could he gave addresses a princess so casually, Ojō must have though him such a disrespectful commoner. Houou was prone to letting his mind wander, even during important interactions such as this. As not to waste the mizukages time Houou focused his mind and tried to remember all the details of the mission. "Lord Mizukage, I am not familiar with many forms of ninjutsu, I'm actually quite the novice. I left my clan before I could receive proper training. But the jutsu Ojō used were spectacular. She carried a type of medium length sword but that wasn't the strange thing about her. Without any hand seals that were visible to me, she instantly cast this massive jutsu of flaming pillars." Houou looked to be deep in thought as he recollected the battle, then he seemed to remember an important detail. "There was something strange after she finished fighting as well, she seemed to be completely drained of energy, her voice was dry and low. She only cast one but it must have had something to do with the jutsu she cast" This interaction with Inka only served to make Houou realize how little he knew about Ojō. He had so many questions for her...but would he be able to face a princess? Houou had much training and growth to do before he even attempted to seek her out.
[･･･] Inka blinked, confused and slightly concerned at the gaping look on Houou's face. "Just because she uses the title, doesn't make her one, Houou Senju." If the Rogue's reaction hadn't been obvious from the start, Inka may not have been able to assume this much of the Senju's thought process. "But she may have been a weapon specialist - like myself. Our weapons are extensions of our very being. Naturals to this type of training are able to cast ninjutsu with their weapon, instead of using handsigns. And, yes," Inka continued, leaning forward to rest his elbows on the desk. "It is a possibility that the jutsu was of a higher level than her energy reserves liked, which can leave the individual feeling exhausted, winded, or even catatonic if pushed. Dead, in extreme cases. But very extreme. The body usually shuts down and puts the mind into a coma to rest and survive. Now," Inka sighed and lifted a hand to his brow.
"I can grant you low-level asylum." The Godaime sat upright, pulling the chair closer to his desk with his feet as his hands went to quickly flipping through the papers handed to him upon Houou's arrival - "ah," he breathed, pulling one piece to the top of the pile and picking up a black pen. "Residence in the shinobi barracks, citizen-level clearance, and resources in exchange for your services." The pen sratched a quick note at intervals, but hovered at the bottom of the page for where his signature is meant to go, not quite ready to give it just yet. "You will most likely remain outside of Kirigakure, and not partake in the same missions made public for shinobi. Think more along the lines of... swords for hire. For now. And I'd like to make use of your knowledge of outside the Land of Mist." Inka taped the pen but placed it down on the paper - unsigned. It was obvious by Inka's face, that he had questions.
"I'd like to assign a task to you first, to work alongside some Kiri nin who are meant to travel to Takumi. Your presence would benefit them. And it will help us evaluate your skill level and strengths. Is this agreeable to you? Houou Senju."

Without flinching or taking time to consider the situation, Houou fired off the only answer that he was prepared to give from now on. "Yes lord mizukage, I would gladly accompany your ninja on this mission. As for the other stipulations of our contract, I will provide you with any information at my disposal." Sword for hire was a step in the right direction, Houou thought to himself. This was only the beginning of his journey to attain the power he once lacked to save an innocent life.
Giving a sigh of relief, Houou stood before Inka and bowed deeply to show his respect for the Mizukages kind offered. Houou had to prove himself but this is something that he expected without a doubt. "i will remain in the village awaiting further instructions from your subordinates."

Dark eyes were light now, open and gold in the sunlight streaming through the windows. "Went by Sypher, or Syy." The Godaime blinks as another thought strikes him. "Or, perhaps his twin brother. Standing before the Inka, Houou was surprised that the senju name had reached these shores. "Unfortunately, lord Mizukage, I am not very familiar with the Otogakure members of my clan. The reason being, my branch felt with more cruel and inhuman tasks. Kept away from the general population, I was raised in secret. Other than my father, none of the members of Black Seed spoke to me. Even more, they all wore unique wood carved masks much like your Black ops division. I was forced to flee before I could accept my birthright as leader of black seed. However I have plans for that wretched village. One day I will stop the evil deeds that my clan members have been forced into, and on that day I swear to provide any and all information you request. With your assistance, I will be strong enough to stand with the others in Shishin, and we will be a force that strikes fear into the UHV." Houou could tell from his facial features that something had plagued the mizukages thoughts. If only he had the opportunity to collect information before his departure. However it wasn't to late for him to prove his worth.
[･･･] Inka nods once more, but his gaze had turned inwar, distant. "I am not surprised by your lack of knowledge of these men." He speaks softly. "As far as I am aware, they were of Konoha descent." The Godaime's gaze suddenly sharpened and his posture straightened. "I simply allowed a curiosity gather the better of me. Though a new one gnaws at me now. What an interesting life you Senju have all lived, I've noted. Your clan appears to always attract an interesting... life. But I'm sure you are tired, and I feel I have questioned you far too much already."Inka picks up his pen and his signature is scratching onto the paper with a quick, practiced, flourish. With the paperwork signed, Inka stands as he staples it and leans forward to hand over the paper.
"The people of Kirigakure appreciate your assistance, Houou Senju. Hand these to my assisstant, Krissella Thanderveldt, and she'll direct you to the desk in charge of housing. From there, you'll be shown the areas you'll have access to, and whom to go to for any resources you may need. Alright?" A small smirk on sharp lips only made the Godaime's soft, subtle sign of support appear slightly less sincere, but the Godaime has only ever smiled for his dearest family members.

"I would like to believe that my life would be a lot less interesting if the UHV had never appeared. However I can't forgive my family for bowing down to those tyrants." Reaching out to grab the papers, Houou returned Inka's smile and turned to depart his office. Stopping just short of the door, Houou stared at the fresh signature on the paper and uttered a few final words "i will not have you regret this decision lord Mizukage. This is an opportunity, many are not willing to grant."
Houou pressed forward and addressed the assistant of the Mizukage. Handing her the paperwork he was a bit nervous. He knew that Inka didn't seem like the type to mess up paperwork, he only hoped that nothing else was overlooked by the chuunin at the gate.
"I was told that you would direct me to the housing desk and any further information that I will need."

___ Krisella took the few minutes to finish off her own notes on an already filled out form before finally reacting to Houou's comment beyond a small humm. Righting the already neat desk and returning her pen to its home in a designated tin filled with its twins, the secretary stood and motioned for Houou to follow her as she went through the forms. What was once a greeting lobby, spacious and well furnished, Inka Hizara had ordered into a base of operations for the lead organisers of various areas of the village. Population, finances, sales, housing - many desks for discussion and information to be processed quickly and efficiently before being taken away for storage in a more secure area. Krissella briefly described this to Houou as she scnned through his asylum form, finding Inka's signature and a few small, cramped notes for the sake of reference and intent the Godaime had for him. She did not mention that to the Rogue.
___ At the desk meant for shinobi housing, a citizen in civilian clothing sat, a ceramic mug covered in child-like drawings craddled in their hands. Krissella barely spoke to get her point, and purpose, across. A light, caramel-coloured drink was steaming inside the mug as the citizen opened a folder already set on the side of the desk. They sipped the mug as pages were flipped.
___ "Ah," They said - whether a sigh in contentment for the hot brew or a pleased exclemation for finding what they were looking for was unclear. "Yeah, okay..." They tapped the empty slot on the form listing all the shinobi housing and pencilled in Houou's name before taking out a small form - barely a half page in its phyisical size - and quickly filled it in before picking up a rubber stamp and pressing in their office's seal. That done, a second form was pulled out - an exact copy bare for a few smaller details. This second one was filed away. The office worker was still holding their drink all the while, and took another sip when they handed the first form over for the Rogue to take. "Keep this on you at all times. It's..." They tilted their head in thought. "Basically your proof of purchase - and you'll need it to get a key." They explained. "You'll have a standard shinobi room - it's small, but it'll have a kitchenette, bathroom, and bed. The main rec area for yourself and seven others is communal, and it's open to anyone walking by. You can get the key at the bottom most floor set aside for sleeping quarters - which is, ah," They gave a small quirk of their lips. "Quite a few flights down from here. There is a desk there, hard to miss. Any questions, concerns, or complaints regarding assigned quarters all go there."
___ "This way." Krissella escorted the rogue to the stairs once the forms were completed. "The top most floors are assigned to offices. This one, being the Mizukage's and the spokesmen and organisers of various areas of the village. The next few we are passing are for more private matters of organisation. Processing and filling documents. Anbu and Oinin desks for reports and change rooms. Jounin offices and desks. Chuunin offices and desks, and then we'll arrive to the start to the first of several floors assigned to accomodation." She explained the order as they walked down the carved, wooden stairs. "Barring the top-most floor and the accomodation floors, all of these areas are locked to anyone and everyone without the correct seal." To this the secretary showed the inside of her right wrist. There, exotic flowers weaved on vines in a circle - only by looking closely would you see thorns tucked behind the leaves and delicate looking petals. "Your seal will be assigned after you return from the coming mission." She paused, her eyes finally glancing over Houou as though evaluating how he was taking in all of this information.
___ "Some rations and non-perishable food will be given to you when we pick up your key. Which we recomend all shinobi in Sero dormitories to leave at the desk when you go off on missions. Prevents the keys from being lost in the field. Do you have any questions?" She asked, her footsteps silent as they walked down the stairs.

The application process may have been a dull and repetitive process, but Houou was doing everything in his power to contain his excitement. Even as a guest in this land he was awarded more freedoms than in his homeland. This excitement, mixed with the wonder of the magnificent Sero tree, was enough to make Houou smile uncontrollably. "I think I've been able to retain all of the information you've gone over. However I would gladly accept copies of all the documents I have signed, in order to reference the rules and regulations." Houou continued following Krisella the beautifully carved stairs of the Sero tree, with a head full of questions in fact. He had just spoken to an actual kage, a man that Houou knew would do nothing to harm his citizens. Houou was still in shock over the stark difference between the welcoming yet terrifying Mizukage, and the infamous president that reigns in Otogakure. He felt as though he had a place to actually call home. It was nice to imagine having his own bed again after all these months of being on the run from the UHV. Then it struck him, he wouldn't even be here if not Atsuko. He had to figure out where his friends were and have them visit. This was the opportunity Shishin had to grow as a team and support one another as a group, alongside the Kirigakure shinobi. Houou mind was racing with the possibilities inka had provided him,his mind raced with thoughts as spiraled down the Sero tees countless steps. "once Atsuko and the others hear that we have succeeded, they will no longer need to worry about looking over their shoulders, as we continue our assault on UHV strongholds" Houou affirmed in his head. He knew that this was the right move. Not only did they have access to knowledge and skilled Kiri training companions, but Houou believed that being in a proper village would keep all of Shishin from growing too hesitant of larger communities. This was truely a place they could call home when they needed it most.
As Krisella guided Houou to the base of the Sero tree, he was fortunate enough to get loads of extra information about the rules and regulations of the village. Eerily enough, Kirigakure was quite similar to the UHV in terms of security and organization, something that made Houou very hesitant. However, inka was nothing like the president or the militaristic leaders. In fact, none of the citizens in Kirigakure resemble that of the UHV invaders. Houou still had much to learn about this village and how he could best serve its people, something he would need to discuss with Shishin at length. Kirigakure had provided them with a valuable stepping stone to stain the peer the needed to protect themselves in the future, an opportunity they would be eternally grateful for.
As they approached the front desk of he housing department, Krisella would immediately hand Houou's documents over to the clerk and disappear thorough the door that had just arrived through. Houou knew that this woman was integral to the mizukages operation and to this village as a whole, she could be expected to hold his hand throughout the entire process. The housing clerk spent several minutes looking over Houous paperwork and filling out information in her own personal log. With the low murder of office talk, and the scribble sound of pen on paper, Houou was left to sit in silence and his mind raced on about his future in the village. "Alright you are all finished here" the clerk said with a friendly smile. She handed Houou a small golden key card with writing on one side, along with a map of the area. "I have also included a leaflet containing the rules and regulations to be strictly followed here in the village. Welcome to your new home."
Hi was overwhelmed with joy. After he bowed to the clerk,he immediately ran out of her office and began to explore the surrounding area. Houou would not go to his room just yet, as he had no bags or personal belongings to store there. The day was young as his curiosity was eating at him. {rumble rumble} Houou was stopped in his tracks as his stomach screamed out to him. "First to track down a good Kirigakure meal, I bet the seafood selection here is to die for." Houou thought to himself.
