"You are aware, Doctor, that some doctors have lives outside of the hospital, yes?" Minty spoke slowly, as if explaining something to a slow-witted individual, "Some doctors, when they are not doctoring, make eggnog. I'm looking for the doctor who brought eggnog to the party last year because it was the best eggnog ever. I'd like his recipe."

Ah yes; unlike him, most doctors did not take their work home with them and run around dismembering people. So it would seem he didn't have much to offer her after all, unless she'd like a slightly abused human heart fresh out of a cadaver. "Ah. My apologies then, I am afraid your doctor is in another hospital. I don't suppose you need an extra human heart for anything? Diego over there won't be needing it anymore. I don't suppose you remember what this doctor looks like? Perhaps I can hunt him down for you."{/Is soo going to hell for the super Mario reference/}

"Oh. Mmm...sort of an older gentleman. Dresses fairly dapper in a black suit with a red silk lined jacket. Has some very angry eyebrows...."

When Sammy returned, it was late, and there was a basket in her arms. All the flavors of coffee they carried in the cafe from the grocery in packets, some exotic imports, and a fern for good measure. In hindsight, she wasn't sure why she felt compelled to pick that up, and now it seemed stupid. Well...maybe it'll perk up his office... she thought awkwardly. Stepping up the steps and into the front doors again, the first thing the woman at the counter could see was a bobbing basket hover its way onto the counter, and a face appear around it. "Um, could you give this to Dr. Sciurus for me? If he's still here..."OOC: Separate makes sense, but just thought I'd ask. I haven't seen a case of multiple scenes going on at different times in the same thread, but I can roll with it! ^^

(Grandpa 13, the first ever bus driver. And professional dinosaur tamer, at that! emotion_awesome
Oh goodness, this poor man will never know just how much he has made us laugh. xD)Orrin tilted his head. He didn't really understand much of that. In fact, he hadn't even a clue of what a "Chrysler" was, but he was guessing that it was some sort of wrench. "I d-dunno... Th-thu-thum s-something...?" He scratched the back of his head, trying to remember. He had never really been very good with names, as far as he could remember, which wasn't very far for that matter.

Sciurus willed himself to keep a calm composure, especially when his own eyebrows wanted to twitch. A thought bubbled from part that was still annoyed. Hm... Perhaps she interrupted him in surgery too? "I see..." He would have to give this some thought, try to remember anyone from the few hospitals he had worked in. Perhaps he could give any old colleagues a call. "Anything else? Anything you request of me specifically?"

That Green Gentleman Anon {xD Mo gets in trouble occasionally for that, sort of a running joke about when she calls him old sometimes. /Is bad/ Like she threatened him once, she said she'd "rip his ancient elderberries off and bake them" other drivers: O.O did she actually threaten him?? Allen: ... Hey! Did you just call me old?!
Feh, the actual bus driver... If anything he'd probably be annoyed, mostly at me. He'd probably flay me alive for calling him Grandpa 13 xD I do miss riding with him though. I mean we never said much to each other, but just seeing him was nice. I almost tripped in front of him once, trying to cross after he let me off sweatdrop I'm sure he'd probably wanna kill me}Damn it, THINK. Did the zoo have bunnies? Would Orrin even notice? At this point he was almost ready to yell for Sciurus, but letting a psychopath handle things like this probably wasn't the best option. "Eh, not important. Don't worry about it. I might know where he lives, but it might be a bit of a ride." Voyager had no idea about zoos, but hopefully there was one nearby.

(Oh dear... xD I can just see how they all start backing away into a safe distance. rofl
We have a bus driver who brings with him these fake flowers that he puts onto the machine that reads the bus cards. No one knows why, but it's always nice to step onto the bus and see them. I would never dare talk to him though, because even with pink flowers, he seems hella scary, somehow. o___o" )The zombie's eyes began sparkling in the backseat. So he did know! And they were going there, too! This just couldn't get any better, Orrin thought, as he hugged the seat in front of him again. He would have been almost as happy to meet any bunny, in all honesty, but one that could talk and was friends with a deer seemed slightly better than the rest, somehow. "Y-you... Rrr... The b-be... Be-best... Mmm...", he mumbled into the seat, nearly falling asleep. After all, it had been a rather long day, and it was so warm and nice under that blanket.

He flinched at her touch, actively reminding himself not to move and keep his sharp objects to himself. Sciurus frowned at her sentiment. Though he knew from her it was sincere, Christmas had never been merry time for him without his family. Even having Voyager around demanding he put up a tree couldn't save his thoughts from souring. But the surgeon doubted Minty knew any of this, and if anything at least tried to respect the holidays' social protocols. "Yes... The one day of the year truly to myself where I don't have to clean anyone's messes. I'll try not to kill anyone at least. May your holiday be warm and safe so that our next meeting is on peaceful circumstances."

Mere hours later, when she found him hanging out her window, she felt she probably should have defined acceptable boundaries for "Merry"
"Thank you, Doctor, I think I will." She smile, "Do you have any plans? You should come to my Christmas party."

{ rofl Couldn't have gotten the timing better if I tried} Sciurus thought about how he spent last Christmas, losing himself on the corner of Memory Lane and Nightmare Drive and brooding over things he couldn't help. His only distraction had been rounding up frostbite victims and sawing limbs off, and there hadn't been any of the usual joy involved. Perhaps having a medic at a festive holiday gathering wouldn't be a bad idea. "Perhaps... I shall endeavor to find eggnog for you before I arrive."

"I'll look forward to seeing you there!" Minty smiled and sauntered off. There were other hospitals to check for the doctor she was looking for.

{I'm sorry, I just don't know how things like this usually go. And ignoring anyone is the last thing I wish to do... I suppose we can cheat and say it happened between her running off and getting the coffee or something? /shrugs/ Mamma mia
S: Why make her Jamaican? I'm not protesting exactly, but you don't even know anyone of Jamaican decent... And what the hell kind of name is Nancy? Well... I dunno... There seems to be a lot of people from that area in the medical field, they're very compassionate. You wanna come up with something better doc?}The Jamaican woman with long braids who sat behind the counter stared at the basket. Her nametag read "Nancy". "Hoo boy mama, You gonna make a doctor very happy! Don't even think the man's seen that much coffee before." She went around the desk to make sure the basket was secure and get a good look. "He's still here. Had a surgery scheduled, might be doing rounds." The woman took a worried look for a moment. "Sometimes he hardly ever leaves. Works pretty hard, that man, and I think he might have a bed or somethin' in his office."

Sammy couldn't help but smile at the woman's compliments regarding her gift idea. Maybe the doctor would like the coffee so much he'd overlook the random inclusion of the tiny potted plant. "Oh, good. For a second I wasn't sure what he'd think..." she said softly, trying not to smile nearly as much as she was. Sammy held loosely onto the edge of the counter and danced her fingers along it, one after the other in a line. "He's that busy, huh?" she asked quietly, remembering that distant look in his eyes, her hidden concern growing a little.OOC: Omfg...I love you. XD *hands you best writer ever trophy* ♥Alsoooo...think you'll be online around New Years? I predict Sammy might need a doctor with her next story.
