OT's ears flick for a moment, a thoughtful expression on his face and he reaches up to tug at one of the surprisingly heavy looking earrings that he wears as an accessory. Very South-american, so are the tattoos that appear around his neck and the tops of his hands where they peek out from his fluffy sleeves.

"Hmm.." He muses and crinkles his nose. The mousy features just make it look silly more than scolding.

"…Alright." he nods and then folds his arms with a wide smile.

"But… you're the wife." He grinned.

“Actually I just want the right to tell people that you’re my wife.” He grinned. “I do so know gay people! I know lots of them! Why on earth would your happiness determine if someone was a wife or a husband or neither at all?” He frowned.

For his part he tried the every flavor cake, because why would you NOT try that, it was amazing. He grabbed a piece and stuffed it towards Dreadpirate.

“Did you TRY that?” He asked wide-eyed. “Wait…I’m not like…turning poka-dot am I? Last time I ate a desert here…”

At first he thinks OT is quite the joker. Then he realises the dormouse is serious. He pauses and considers the other player. Such a literal translation - and unfamiliarity with slang - convinces him that English isn't OT's native language. Well, the Hunters recruit from everywhere. Or OT might be a normal civilian, like Raze, his fellow Gryphon.

"I guess it doesn't," he says carefully, "but I hope being married makes them happy. Otherwise why bother?"

He tries the every-flavour cake that OT holds out. He bites it layer by layer, then takes a bite of multiple layers - somehow the flavours mix together really well, when really it should just be a horrible mix of things that don't go together at all. "That's amazing," he says. If only for once again completely screwing the laws of nature and reality.

"No, there's no weird effects here. But I don't blame you for asking - I worried about the same thing my first time through."

He likes OT's choice of cake, but sticks with his own. "Onto the next part?" he asks.

"Yeah, this place is really limited in their themes," Dreadpirate agrees. "They could have branched out a little more."

He's picked the Gryphon before. For some reason he's drawn to The White Rabbit this time. He sort of has the feeling that he's about to drop down a large hole... Maybe that's just wedding nerves.

"Hmm?" Dreadpirate's a little surprised. "Yes, sort of. You don't know The Princess Bride? The Dread Pirate Roberts, most feared pirate on the seven seas? He was pretty monochromatic, too." This Gryphon outfit is more colourful than Westly's pirate outfit ever was.

"How about yourself?" he asks as they move to the next station. "You a big fan of tea and snakes, then?"

"Yeah, eventually," Dreadpirate says. He's kind of stunned there's someone alive who hasn't seen that movie. "It took a while and there were a lot of people interfering. And he was dead for a bit, but then he came back."

He nods. It is true he would not normally think of being a mouse in the real word. He thinks most people wouldn't. But it's cool, he thinks OT is referring more to the qualities of the dormouse, maybe, like he wouldn't ordinarily be a healer guy.

"You definitely stand out among the other mice," he agrees after OT mentions his customisations. "Why feathers on top of the mouse tail?"

They arrive at the third station. He drops his hand into the box to pick some items. Today's selection is a tiny dead bird in a small wire cage, a single kitchen match and small, clear vial labeled ‘TEARS’, closed with a cork. Dreadpirate wonders what this says about their future together.

"Your turn to pick."

Getting the dead bird twice is not a good omen. Especially since OT seems to really like birds. Dreadpirate isn't sure if it's the language barrier, but OT clearly likes the animals.

The guy has a great way of looking at the world, even if Dreadpirate doesn't know how that relates to bird feathers or mouse tails... or maybe he's talking about his tattoos now?

"That's awesome," he says honestly. "Most people spend far too long trying to be someone else, or to 'fit in' when everyone's just faking it. Much easier to be yourself and be proud of that."

He places his items and cake in the teapot, shakes it, then turns it over. A ring drops out. It looks as though it's made of a single feather looped around to just touch and form a ring. It's a pale silvery blue, much like the vial of tears.

"Your hand, please?" he asks before slipping it onto OT's finger.

The dormouse congratulates them as they exchange rings and the quest rewards automatically update.

Dreadpirate studies the ring. It's a strange kind of animal. A dragon? But the wings are feathered.

"Oh," he says, "a queztlcoatl? Like Bix's weapon! It used to be one of those, right?"

He glances up form the ring and stares at OT. "Bix? Is that you?" He asks uncertainly. He prompts, "It's Davey."

If OT had been Bix it would have explained a lot. But it's still pretty simple: Pachua is clearly a new Hunter that Davey has yet to meet. It's a bit unusual that Pachua doesn't know Bix. They must be in different divisions. Now that Bix is a full-fledged Hunter he's probably out on missions a lot, too.

"It's hard to meet everyone and to keep track of names," Dreadpirate says. They shift away from the final podium, as other couples are approaching to finish their marriages. "I'll introduce you when we get back to the real world."

Pachua/OT seems a little worried... about the state of Bix's weapon? There is a strong bond between Hunter and weapon, he reasons. It's not unheard of that a Hunter might also worry about a weapon other than his own.

"It's fine, they're both fine." He pats OT's shoulder. "I saw them just the other day." Bix had worn an expression that said he was listening to a voice no one else could hear several times during their catch up. A chatty weapon was a good sign, in Dreadpirate's mind.
