Now that he was almost at the top, he became aware of just what had been up above him. Harpies. Or at least creatures similiar to them. They weren't completely solid, more haze than anything, and he drew his spear.
They attacked.
He was prepared though, and he stabbed with Simple Pride, causing damage to at least one of the harpies of the flock.

Oh, now this was satisfying. Sarviur plunged the daggers into one harpy after another, grinning all the way. Sure, they batted at him, but...what did they matter?

He swung the weapon widely, striking several of the harpies with the swing. He was enjoying this, especially after the rocks that they had caused to fall on him. It served them right to have a little pain caused to them.

There were so many harpies; Sarviur only had two dagger hands but - oh, wow.
Was it just him or was it easier to take them down than it had been? Sure, there were plenty of them, but his new daggers slashed and slashed and slashed.

He didn't notice that they were beginning to surrender until he was just smashing through them, bird lady by bird lady by bird lady.
And done. Gone. The harpies gave Sarviur a wide berth now, and he jogged to the top of the cliff without issue. Oh, how lovely - the view was stunning. Behind him, someone watched, and smiled, and his heart changed and grew:

Ri grinned, swiping the harpies with the swing. He liked this weapon for this, it gave him a decent amount of reach, and even though they still could hit him, he could get more of them.

There were still more of them, but he was holding his own. Part of that was his weapon he was sure, and some of it was likely thanks to the goddesses who he served, but as long as he was able to fight, things were going good.

The harpy that he had been aiming at attempted to dodge out of the way, and his weapon barely caught the edge as it moved. It was still a blow, just a glancing one, one that didn't cause much damage.

He stared at the bridge with wary eyes. It looked rather thin, and he was supposed to cross this? Sighing, Linswo took the first step forward and hurriedly walked all the way to the other side without trouble. "That's good."

Most of the flock had backed up, away from his swing, but there were still a few attacking him. He was giving as good as he was getting, and he hoped that he'd be able to hold out a little longer.
