Again and again with this thing. Why did Kieyrr have to be so stubborn about winning against these figures? Was it to prove self worth, or was he just looking for trouble. The shadow didn't know anymore. He was going to win this time. He knew it.
Ah yes. He remembered. It was the same vision as before.
There was no sensation to flee as the skies turned dark. A woman stood firm and held her ground, weapon in hand and determination on her face. She knew the battle could be very well be her last, but if the world was going to end her then she was going to go down fighting. She would drag every soul within her path into the afterlife with her. Her last breathe would be that of a true warrior.
He knew the enemy that would be waiting for him. The shadow figure was ready, and even more able than before.

At least this time, the fog kept their hands off him... relatively speaking. He felt himself fall, letting out an "oof" as he hit the ground, and stared as bits of the platform edge crumbled and fell into the abyss.
He really had to pull himself together.

Finally, as he thought he may have been finally free from the fog, he felt something grab him again, and he teetered on edge, letting out a cry as the platform crumbled underneath him, sending him plummeting into the abyss.
Was this... the end?
Before he hit the ground, the fog thickened, catching him, and for once, he didn't complain about it touching him. As it lowered him down, feet touching something solid, his core finally stopped thumping erratically, and he saw the 3 shining orbs before him.
Taking a deep breath, he reached for the first, and finally felt ease.

Shaw eventually found himself back on the crumbling path of floating islands leading down in the mist. He paused at its top, eyeing the fog warily, before stepping down.
He didn't try to avoid the tendrils of fog snaking across the platforms this time - and one rolled over him full force, leaving him with a memory visceral and haunting.
His eyes were wide, and across his face was plastered a manic grin. They'd die. They'd all die.

Ixb found this place as he had the others, by following the flow of people. He was wary as he eased himself down the path onto the small platforms. He was afraid to look off the side, not wanting to know just how far down it all went.
The fog pressed in from all sides. It was something he couldn't avoid and strangely, seemed familiar. He almost gave himself over to it when it happened.
The Sorrowed: She cried out, the scream tearing her throat like a blade, but still she could not stop. Grief overwhelmed her like a wave, an avalanche, something so powerful that nothing could stand in its way and remain unscathed. Everything she loved was dead or dying, from people to her home to her very way of life. There was nothing left. She screamed and screamed and in that scream was a plea for death, that she not outlive the last vestiges of everything she was-
He started with a gasp, clutching tightly at the pendant on his chest. Who was she? What? Ixb was stuck in a frozen moment of terror. He was afraid for her. He felt her sorrow and anguish. There weren't words to describe the tight knot settled against his heart.
It took a few minutes before he could rise and press on.
