The small shade almost pounced her final fragment and grinned a huge, satisfied predator sort of smile. She had no need to socialize with these other beings. Not for the moment.

Cylu took a moment to stop and realize her surroundings had changed as she wandered into the spire. There was so much to see, but she remembered her purpose. Her assistance was needed somewhere. If someone was in danger, she couldn't afford to stop and admire the scenery. Intrigued by the sight of a glimmering shard, Cylu decided it wouldn't hurt to take a moment to grab it... she wasn't certain where her destination was, after all.

Rhryse was quiet. She might have been thinking, though she truly had little to think about. There wasn't much to question, either. She instead found herself looking, seeing. Other figures with hearts, figures of gray, more defined than they had been before. Less vague.
A flicker of something caught her eye, and she turned. She wasn't exactly curious, but she was drawn to the faint little thing. An object, gray like everything, but a bit different. She reached out touch it.
"Coffee. Black. ..."
It wasn't more than a whisper, but Rhryse heard the words. She did not understand them, but they were in her mind for a moment. Looking down at the strange gray piece of something in her hand, aware of a strange warmth. Not just in her hand, but the rest of her.
She was turning away before she could think on it too hard, though.

"After you," he agreed, tipping a non-existent hat. "I must admit, I feel a bit responsible it took ye so long-- maybe we've all gotta move to our own beat, ye ken?" Arl smiled sheepishly and then looked towards the Shrine, where they'd have to go to speak with the goddesses.
"Friends?" Arl held his hand out to Noj, with a smile. He didn't really know why he thought it was a good idea, but he did.

The world around her seemed... difficult. If she'd realized what danger was, she might have thought that, but at this point the idea eluded her.
A dark corner faintly lit by a small glowing crystal did not. She was curious about the fragments, so she reached out for this one as well. The sensation of warmth fell over her again, briefly. With it came the sound of a bell. A light chime, distant and attention calling. She did turn to look, but there was nothing but grays and red behind her.
She wandered off again, slowly on the difficult terrain, clutching her fragments, a new feeling growing in her core. She just didn't know what it was yet.

She liked whatever feeling it was. She liked the warmth. It was better to have it than to not. So this time she went looking for the fragment of glowing gray. The two she held were nice, but surely another would be better?
Perhaps. Perhaps. She wouldn't know unless she found one.
Carefully, slowly, she made her way around, looking for the faint glow.

They were easier to see where the gray was darkest, so she looked there.
Gray fingers reached out, eager to touch the gray little thing. Warmth. She liked the warmth.
Silence.
The word was quiet, drawn out and stern. Rhryse might have payed more attention to it, if she had been being loud. But she hadn't. The whisper must not have been for her.
There was a sigh of contentment as she moved again, still searching. She liked the warmth.
