Her delivery done Sammy moved back through the casino passing the bar on her way scooping up another glass, she paused for a moment and grabbed a 2nd smaller one as well as two normal ones before walking over to Candace Rep and Tracey.

"Now don't drop her Rep, it'd be a shame to bruise those pretty legs." She offered the two drinks to the two, "Celebration on a job well done and a thanks for the snack earlier Rep, Candace right? You get one because all good looking girls should have a drink."

She paused pointing the smallest drink at Tracey. "And you. Since you're so shy around the good stuff, yes I saw you only having wine and water earlier. Deserve a drink as well. That and the pretty ladies rule of course."

Once all glasses where passed out or denied she raised her own, "Long Live the King, and screw dusty old towers that fall for no damn reason."

No ******** were given in regards to Jing's comfort. He might not have weighed as much as G, but he was probably damn uncomfortable regardless, the bone in his forearm very likely wedged in a painful spot on the poor fox-pawn's collarbone. As soon as he became aware of this fact, he leaned harder on him, leaning in to hiss in his ear, the toothy grin turning into a little sneer. The elbow to the gut made him flinch, jerking back a bit, but he managed to snatch a handful of the Runner's sleeve as he did so, pulling him along with him.

"Yeah? I don't think so."

Growling low in the back of his throat, Nuk twisted his arm around Jing's neck to try to put him in a headlock, clearly intent on wrestling now.

Not quite fighting, but close.

Ying stumbled in, someone behind what everyone else, as she was fashionably late, always.

Well no, she was just regular late, but that was besides the point.

Her clothes were wet and torn a little, her hair was a mess and she had a miasma crystal in her pocket. It wasn't a bad mission necessarily, as she DID get what she'd been looking for, but it certainly wasn't a pie in the sky. That, and she hated being messy in front of people. It was downright embarrassing for a dame of her age.

She'd materialized near Candace, someone she'd seen- but then, in a town ruled by the Watch, everyone knew their names. "Hey Candace, have you um ... have you seen my brother? Did he make it back okay?" She wasn't even looking at Candace, but instead at the small crowd of people, trying to find her male counterpart. He was as tall as a giraffe yet for Ying, it was like finding a needle in haystack.

Sometimes, she really hated being short.

Now that was enough to make the big man noticeably brighten, and he grinned at Taima so openly that one might have thought she'd offered to take him to NASA herself. "Ya think so? Don't think I'm smart enough... but ho hard could it be, right? Just gotta sit there and jump around once I get outside." Congratulations. From the way he was rubbing thoughtfully at his chin, it seemed like his dream had been somewhat rekindled. "Think he'd really do that for me? If we win, 'course. And we're gonna win." Those last bits were slipped in hastily, as though he was worried she'd doubt his loyalty to the family.

"What about you? What do you do? And what'd you wanna do? Maybe we can get the Boss to help you out, too." His eyes were bright, and clearly this was the most inspired he'd been in a long time.

(Enter.)

Gertrude was upset. She thought teleporting would magically clean and dry her peasant wear or something. Because magic. It doesn't need to make sense. That wasn't what happened. Her clothes had air dried while she walked through the labyrinth. Her dress became like a stiff cardboard cone and her shoes smelled like wet feet and swamp water.

She was going to sit down and drink. Hopefully, the seats would not explode again. "Bottoms up." She could actually relate to the lost clothes. What she was wearing now were corpses. "To the fallen. I'll give them a proper viking funeral. Then, I'll get a new outfit. In memoriam."

Rep took the drink from Sammy with a smirk, he inclined his head at his fashionable backwear. "She widnae bruise if I dropped her. She's tough. I bet she climbed that tower in those heels."

Tracey's eye twitched again. She shouldn't drink. Shouldn't. She was on duty. Oh to hell with it. She took the drink anyway. "Thank you."

Ying got a somewhat sympathetic look of her own, her outfit was ruined too. All those clothes going to an early bin because of that damn silver kingdom. "I've no." he offered, it wasn't the most helpful, but he wasn't really the brightest either. He was in too decent a mood to be snarky.

He held the glass up to Sammy. "To the Boss, and all those fallen outfits."

Candace cooed with sympathy. That explained why Rep was sans tiger skin. "Still love him even after he was naughty. That's sweet." Though honestly with a name like Tiddles could anyone really blame him? Seriously now. She allowed herself to be carried all too willingly to the bar, her head against Rep's as she sighed sadly. "Thank you, and yes. The one that fit perfectly. This one will have to do."

Once at the bar she dropped down from her perch on Rep's back and settled on a stool, fixing the top of her dress before she turned to order for a few drinks. Except someone was already sweeping in and giving them exactly what they wanted, offering her all kinds of flattery left and right. Her pout was replaced by a slow smile. If Candace had a cat's ears they would be perked high and at attention. Hello. "Thank you, doll. And what's your name?" She purred, leaning forward with her chin in one hand and her other hand gently sliding the drink closer to her. This woman screamed easy prey. At Rep's assumption about her heels she grinned. "Not these in particular but I did climb them it in heels, yes. Po kept telling me I should've changed but that's nonsense." She raised her glass to their toast, chuckling when Rep clarified what kind of fallen they were drinking to.

Another voice got her attention, one that was fairly familiar given how frequently she was in the building. Ah...Ying! Right. Yes. Ying. Her brother was the other one. Jing? She hoped so. "I haven't! But only because I've been preoccupied. Let's see..." She stood, putting an arm across the back of little Ying's shoulders while searching the crowd for her taller male lookalike.

"...He's currently snogging with Nuk."

It was nice how the alcohol burned. It warmed her body, even if it didn't warm it in the same soft, inviting way as the waters at the Tower's Lake had, or how the hands that stroked and touched her shoulders had when she managed that horrible climb up the stairs. This warming was a sharper sensation, hitting deep into her gut and telling her it was alright to relax, but letting her know it was definitely there, pleasant.

She wasn't certain if she thought the same of The Family sometimes, alarmed by the fact that they wasted no time getting right back to partying and relaxing ... but in the same way, that was fitting. Serafina was primarily concerned with herself, and once she had successfully politicked for the day, she typically retreated into herself and enjoyed the pleasures that came with rising to the top, and ... perhaps the additional pleasures of being in with The Boss and rising to the top because of his assistance.

Of course, there were some of The Family that she sincerely enjoyed. B0nez and her had gotten on absolutely swimmingly, of course, and she couldn't ever bring herself to think a moment of ill to the adorable lug that had talked to her earlier, Gargantuan. With people so innately good in their group, it was hard to bring herself to be totally frustrated with them, and to be honest, the more she was around them, the less she was concerned with bringing only herself through this matter.

The Family would get through this, not just her.

That being said, she wasn't completely sure if the drug dealer and drug runner playing noggie were the most admirable example of the family. The drug dealer seemed to be in better spirits, though, than he wasn't earlier. Or, at least, more willing to act without just growling. Wasn't that the one that went all tiger and growl-y earlier?

And now he was acting like an older brother tormenting a younger sibling.

Well, at least it fit the idea of The Family... What exactly had him like this, though? Serafina looked around, trying to find the answer, before turning back to the drug dealer and observing. She was pretty sure he couldn't've possibly made a deal in the time they had been back.

Yep. Right now he would have chosen G to lean on much more than anything else. Before he could tell, the skinwalker already had him in a compromised position. the daggers in his belt were waiting to be used, but the hand the loved to touch them was stuck pinned between himself and good ol nuk. The hiss of pain at the stretched limb was not hidden, and the grimace of pain went well with the sound.

the continued ranting of What the ******** was a nice touch too. "Dude, what in the blue hell are you even doing right now?" he barked low, did he pop a royal before reentering the hall or something.

Don't worry about it Ying, your dear brother was just getting into a friendly scuffle.

The pair were a handful, but after some time, Jerry was cleaned, shaved, teeth brushed and flossed, blow dried, manicured, and dressed (among other things that would just be kept among Melvin), Jerry was more pristine than he probably had been in his entire life. Set aside to rest against a bench, Mass was then worked on, washed from ear to tail. However, something just didn't FEEL right. That was when Melvin got dressed and set out, returning later with a few boxes of some non-toxic, temporary dye. "Don't worry. I think everyone will like it. I like blue after all." It reminded him of pills.

Some time later, Mass was dried to a fluffy puff and given a white bow around his neck. Then, Melvin threw Jerry over Mass' back and said the word. "Steak, Mass. Steak!"

Sammy laughed as Rep took his drink, remarking on Candace's state of bruising, "Still, better safe then sorry, never hurts right?" When that was said and done and Tracey finally caved, Sammy offered a sideways wink only for a moment to the stressed out assistant.

"You should try to relax some you have a good face if it wasn't always set in a permanent scowl." She decided not to remark about the eye twitching, but it was kinda funny.

Taking a sip of the whiskey after the toast she turned to Candace again, "Samantha. Pleasure. I guess Rep's right, going up that tower in heels is a feat in its own right. As for outfits... I like durable. Might not look as flattering but it'll last." To prove her point she lifted a foot, jet black boots with silver buckles and a metal tipped skull sporting only the faintest of scuffs. "Decent looking, and works well in a bar fight."

The if was the problem. There were six other kingdoms just as determined as they were to fight for their survival. Statistically, the odds were against them. Realistically, G would only ever see outer space at night, or through a telescope. If G had been a mark, this would have been the point where Taima steered the conversation towards business and the information she needed to retrieve; if he had been entertainment, she would have taken his little dream and crushed it.

Instead, she reached out to awkwardly pat his hand. Physical contact wasn't something she encouraged outside of the play, but G was so happy. "I'm sure the boss would be happy to do it for someone for someone so--" blindly, stupidly "loyal. You could be in space by next week, can you imagine?"

Taima shrugged at his questions. She wasn't about to tell him that she brought others to ruin for a living. "I do this and that," she replied noncommittally. "I haven't really thought about what I wanted to be." She couldn't remember ever having a secret desire to do anything else. "Maybe something involving travel." She could use a vacation after this, if they came out of this alive.

Mass was quite happy to be pampered by Melvin, the ways of the tiger were fickle and unpredictable. In Tracey's case he would happily ruin the bodyguard's day, roaring and bristling and generally being a very wild excitable tiger. With Melvin he even helped by raising his paw obligingly. When the S word was called he eagerly trotted after Melvin, Jerry all fancy in tow.

One minute Rep was laughing and joking, sipping his drink, the next he keeled over. Flat out keeled over onto the floor. But as soon as he hit the ground, sending the glass skidding away in a pool of spreading alcohol. He hardly stayed down for even a moment, blinking and hauling himself back to his feet.

The room felt like it was spinning, he felt like he was going to throw up. He had a funny taste in his mou-

Oh my god.

Rep - as he typically did when presented with an emotional overload - ground to a halt.

Wide eyed he just stared around the room as if he'd seen a ghost.

She was watching Nuk and Jing scuffle when it happened. Both Candace and Po suddenly collapsed, the former swooning against Ying and falling to the floor, her drink crashing and spilling everywhere.

They were out, completely unconscious...though only for about five seconds.

When they awoke, Candace's entire body was trembling. She groaned and pushed herself up to sit on her hands and knees, her eyes wide and full of fear as she just stared at the floor. Her eyes flicked to her perfectly manicured nails, her expensive jewelry, the shape of her shadow, the white fur she could see in her peripheral on her shoulder; the feeling of her tight slinky dress, her expensive heels, everything.

Finally she looked up and around at who was near her. Ying, Samantha..Rep. Her eyes locked with Rep's, her expression still fearful. They couldn't mess this up, there were only four of them here. They had to play this smart. "Sorry about that. I guess I was still tired from my trek through the tower.." Candace muttered apologetically, getting up with Po's help. She squeezed the woman's hand and looked up at her for a long, quiet moment.

She wasn't real. Her breath caught in her throat at that realization. This wonderful woman wasn't real.

"Rep." She looked to him again, her expression serious. "Are you okay?"

Picking up the blue blanket he was given and stored, he lead Mass over to the couch. He looked around, hoping someone who notice all his effort, before he lead Mass over. Moving to the buffet table, now stocked with less food from before and fresh trays, he returned to feed some sausages to Mass before pushing Jerry off of Mass and onto the couch.

Taking the blanket, Melvin moved Jerry to sit up, took the blanket, and wrapped them both in it before leaning on the janitor. "You smell nice now." He told the unconscious man, and then wrapped a arm around his back, setting his hand on Jerry's waist before snuggling up next to him and resting his head on his shoulder.
