"Believe it or not it was on the summer equinox but the only thing I had gotten was the camera you saw when we meant and that was from my grandfather. By the way what happens to you on full moons." Lark asked him playing with his figures now

Devon would remember that. She may be surprised on her next birthday. Still... he could get her a late present. He answered her question easily. "There's no forced transformation. But it's hard to resist the urge to shift. On the full moon I feel less human. That's way we usually go hunting on the full moon. It's when were at our strongest, but when we're less controlled as well. The hunt helps."

"So is that what was happening last full moon when we met?You and all those wolves were hunting?" Lark asked leaning on his side relaxing against him feeling safe even though he was talking about hunting she didn't like the thought of him hurting anything but it was something he had to and she wasn't in any danger she was sure of it he would probably want her to stay in the house while he went wild not that she minded because what would she do running through the woods like Julie of the wolves which she was not beside while he ran she would get her rest.

Devon nodded. "We were. Except that particular full moon was also an Alpha meeting. Any news that need to be presented is brought forward there. That's way I mistook you for someone new to the fold."

Devon brushed her hair out of her face. He lowered his voice as he answered. She looked exhausted. He should have known batter than to keep her up. "It was rather uneventful. Either everything was going smoothly or their keeping things from me. I usually can tell. All was fine except for one story.... I've have been keeping an eye on him." he mumbled. "Rest, Lark. We'll talk me tomorrow." He kissed her gently.

Devon smiled. "I will tell you. But it can wait till tomorrow. It will give you something to look forward too. So sleep and stop fighting it." he said. This he wouldn't budge on.

Lark unable to fight it anymore finally went to sleep it was Devon's humming that did her in her last thought before she was in dream land was that she'd get that dog for this sooner rather than later. Soon though she was in a deep sleep and the dream that followed was a peaceful one until monsters started to chase her she knew it wasn't Devon or his wolves but one of the voices she knew but she couldn't remember there were two monsters and no matter how hard she tired she couldn't get away from them she cried out for Devon but he never came there were the only the sounds of fighting and pain a yelp that had been cut short and the last monster had her on the ground standing over her she screamed out Devon's name one last time before her dream self died and she was awake and screaming unable to stop herself

Devon jumped from the place he was sleeping. he chose the room across from hers to sleep for the night. It was still dark outside when he ran across the hall to where Lark was screaming. he immediately took her in his arms. "Shhh, Lark. I'm hear. You're safe. Shhh." he said over and over until she calmed.

razz Lark was in hysterics crying heavily and unable to speak some part of her mind still thought she was in the nightmare she was even worse of than the time Devon had scared her out of her wits she cringed against Devon and help him tightly until she calmed somewhat a few moments later

Devon held her close, worried out of his mind. What had scared her to such hysterics? He looked around for a moment as if to find some sign of a break in. However, there was one. He would have hear them come in anyway. As she calmed, he relaxed a bit, but only slightly. "What happened, Lark?" he asked softly.

"She killed me and you never came to save me." She whimpered beginning to tremble as she thought back to how she she died in the dream she was begin ripped apart piece by piece dying slowly until finally it was over but the worst part was that no matter how she screamed and cried out Devon didn't save her she was to scared to think that he let her die but why hadn't he been there
