He kept himself still as the horseman flapped his wings. “Senga,” Wilson repeated. “I see.” Another thoughtful pause filled with only the sound of the game and the controller shifting slightly. “I’m a visiting student. I came here with my sister.” He calmly continued to race ahead of Senga. “Must be tough to be a horseman during these times.” Quote:

"Hmm." Senga flicked his wings again at the statement, considering the marionette for a moment and narrowly dodging a chain chomper. The gray fissures in his skin seemed evermore prominent all at once as he thought about the statement. "It might be unwise to talk about things you do not know much about," He said finally, his voice level, turning his eyes back to the game, "I am rather more tame than my brethren. A stronger executioner of my clan might not take so lightly to you making comments like that."
It wasn't the place of a visitor really, to talk about things like that. Senga rumbled quietly. His body stiffened, but it was barely noticeable given the doll body Wilson found himself in. Wilson pressed his lips together, letting the silence between them grow and grow while he focused on the game instead. “I was just trying to express my condolences.” It sounded sincere enough, but whether he really meant it or not was difficult to tell. He knew what horsemen did and he remembered his fights with them too. But the hunter left it at that. Any information he wanted to glean from Senga would never come out of the wolf’s mouth, not to this body or to him ever Quote:

Senga rumbled quietly, frowning. Few had expressed condolences to them. It was strange. This marionette was strange.
"I'm sorry," He sighed, curling his wings around himself as the tart from his hood crawled onto his shoulder to watch, making him pause. "Hello." he told it quietly. It had been with him ever since Aymet's booth, and he was... growing attached. "I don't mean to be defensive, only..." Senga frowned, ruffling his wings. "It is a difficult topic - ah."

Wilson shook his head. “No, it’s okay.” His face contorted into a speculative expression as he added, “I’m sure the issue is…complicated.” The hunter glanced at Senga. If only the horseman knew. Actually, no. Wilson didn’t want him to know. He had to never know. He watched the car whiz by him while Wilson picked up another banana. Wilson looked over at the minipet and smiled softly. “Cute.” Quote:

"There are... a lot of different opinions on that." Senga rumbled quietly, a wing twitching as he passed another curve. "Some think its simple. Others don't." He glanced at the wonderland tart, leaning into it just a bit to nuzzle its side. It was very warm after all.
"I don't know what to name it." He muttered, frowning.

"There are only ever gray areas in between - but that means that no faction in a War is truly the black side of the board." Yes, even in War, they had things like chess. Kind of. "Most people have trouble with the idea that there are no true villains. That's why they fall to naivety."
The wonderland tart purred appreciatively. "I feel bad not giving it a name already." He sighed.

Senga lost focus of the game to glance at Wilson for a long moment, his eyes a thoughtful vibrant gold. "Do you think the hunter's believe themselves white then?" He glanced back at the game, wings fidgeting. "Do you think all of them thought they were justified when they obliterated an entire race?" His wings twitched again, curling tight against his side. "How could anyone think that sort of thing could be even remotely heroic? The world isn't black and white, but that action alone is beyond what we could ever imagine as black."
He hissed as he dodged another turtle.

His fingers twitched, but Wilson’s hold on the controller remained firm as he continued through the track. His heart twisted as he formulated his next reply. What to say next? What to say so the horseman wouldn’t catch him? “Well, they wear white for a reason,” he replied with a weak, teasing smile that disappeared in seconds. As he blinked he could see flashes of deceased faces, melting together and tearing apart beneath a blue sky and their dying screams echoing in his ears. “Who knows? One can only find out if one asks all of the hunters.” Briefly, Wilson glanced toward Senga. “Humans work in mysterious ways.” But so do you. “And so does the rest of the worlds.” Quote:

Playing these sorts of games was typically not Thackery's forte, but he wasn't going to decline something fun. Who would? Probably someone who was really awful, that's who, and he wasn't, so he was going to give this his best shot. He flopped down next to Aymet, picked up a controller, put on his best concentration face, and got to work on smashing some buttons. The bright colors were definitely a plus, and he had to admit that the sparkles in his character's eyes were pretty funny. "You're actually good at games, so don't laugh," he said, accidentally jamming his palm on the button that started the race. Whoops. Hopefully Aymet was ready.  Quote:

"You sound sympathetic." Senga replied mildly, losing the heat in his voice. This wasn't a conversation he wanted to have, and he pushed it away from the front of his mind with force. "Even as a creature of War, I would be stained forever if I was part of the destruction of an entire race." His fingers twitched, the grey fissures in his skin catching in the corner of his eye.
"It's a meaningless conversation though." Senga rumbled, leaning his head against the small tart on his shoulder. "Talking about it doesn't change anything.
