"Might be your whole pregnancy changing your taste for things. Oh well, mine tastes like peanut butter, as usual."Answered Eca, she knocked on the door to be greeted by her father.

"Eca, you're finally back home. I was getting tired of all the letters."

"I know dad, and I'm sorry for being away for so long, but I want you to meet my friends." She pointed to Mina and Eric, her father smiled and waved.

"Nice to meet you two, I'm Jack. Please, come inside, I take it you two are both foreigners from Duon?"

"Actually, I'm from Uni, but Mina here is a Duon." One they stepped inside, Eric was amazed at how comfortable inside the frozen home was. He had braced himself for freezing cold.

"Common misconception that the Tresions can't enjoy a little warmth themselves." Said Jack in response. As he showed them around, a question came to Eca's mind.

"Say dad, where's mom?" Asked his daughter, Jack sighed and ran a hand through his hair. There was a explanation for that.

"Jill was taken in by the breeding homes. I don't know why, but they took asked for her any many other women. The guild is investigating it, but there hasn't been much progress."

Hearing this, Eca turned to Eric and Mina without a word, only stare. She was hoping they were willing to help her find out what they did with her mother.

Jack nodded his head, he was lost given the lack of details, but if there were willing to help without knowing a thing about his wife, he could trust in them. They did keep his daughter safe after all. "Thank you." He said softly, Jack looked to his daughter. "You're going to go with them, aren't you?"

"Its my mother, I have to." She answered her father.

"Not sure what you can do in that condition..."

"Believe me dad, Mina can do a lot." Said Eca reassuringly. Eric nodded his head as well, he may have not been saying much, but Mina spoke for both of them. He was willing and able to go save Eca's mother.

Nina kicked her mother in reaction to the patting. In her own way, she was ready too.

"Guess our first bet is to try the local Breeding Home and see if they are keeping her there. We only have three major territories with it's own breeding home for each, not too hard to search." Explained Eca. "Whenever you're ready Mina, we'll get a move on."

All Eric could do was facepalm at that moment. He then turned to Jack and asked the Tresion. "I don't suppose we could trouble you for a bit of food?"

"No asking necessary. Its the least I can do for you two." Answered Jack with a nod, he went into the kitchen and began preparing a traditional dish for them. A porridge that had the look and texture of snow, but tasted anything but.

Out from the stove top came a magic dust that heated the food in a way that wouldn't melt the home. "Tresions don't use heat at all to cook, we use magic so our homes don't melt in the process."

Jack nodded his head at her curiosity. "It does, but it doesn't taste like one. This is just a dish the tourists really seem to love. Comes from a unique wheat that grows only on this planet." He poured some in a bowl for Mina and handed it to her, followed by Eric and his daughter.

Eric gave it a try, it tasted much better than the fruit outside. "I'm confused by the taste, but it's really good."

"It's natural to think that." He chuckled, they weren't the first and surely not the last.

"Its safe to assume that it takes really, really cold water. Believe it or not, Tres has no lands, only Ice and Water. The seeds sprout in these waters and shoot up through the ice." Explained Eca, her father nodded his head confusingly. This theory was news to him.

"Where did ou get those brains, don't think its from my side of the family..."
