Darshendros the Eternal The drow that had taken cover immediately sprang out, weapons drawn, sweeping around and charging Ryugi from opposite sides, attempting to flank him. Both wielded a longsword and dagger, dual-weapon style, their speed swift. Ryugi's body would become limned with blue and purple flames, hopefully confusing him with the illusion, if not making him an easier target to hit. They came in, one slashing low, the other high.
The necromancer reappeared on the rooftop of a nearby building, uttering words of power and sweeping his hands through the air. One of the skeletons began to reform itself and rise back up from the ground. The necromancer would repeat the spell for all of his undead minions, until they were all re-raised and joined back into the fight. -BOOM- As the drow warriors approached Ryugi, a powerful blast of heat and light energy would fire outward from his body with enough force to throw them backwards nearly ten feet. This was Ryugi's Limiter Release. A rarely used attack made by a quick expulsion of heat and light energy to knock back and disorient attacking foes, as well as buying Ryugi some time. As the attack flew, Ryugi jumped, his legs launching him towards the necromancer as he drew Sol Blade from its sheath, having sheathed Ragnarok. As he approached, he made ready to slash through the necromancer, which would undoubtedly interrupt any of his spell casting, as well as get Ryugi into combat with him. [9]

The drow were thrown back by the blast, activating levitation spells to ride out the wave, deactivating them and landing safely on their feet with only some minor irritations and slight blindness.
"Defend me!" the necromancer cried.
Ryugi would be tackled through the air by the reraised skeleton, hitting him with unnatural strength from the side, linebacker style, to take him down to the ground. The necromancer reanimated one of the zombies, while the drow regained their senses and ran swiftly toward Ryugi to attack him.

"Defend me!" the necromancer cried... [11] Ryugi heard the skeleton crunching dirt as it moved to jump, and quickly shouted as he neared the necromancer. NEGATION!! Sole Blade glowed with a light blue before suddenly a wave erupted outward from Ryugi in a sphere. Quote: *Negation- This default ability of the sword allows it to negate incoming magical attacks, within reason, using anti-magic. Higher power attacks can be negated by adding more energy to the blade, which can change regular magical energy into Anti-magic. The Sol Blade can hold up to 10 Anti-Magic charges, but cannot hold any Magic Charges of its own. This is controled by smaller, more effective energy leylines than the ones in Ragnarok. All of Sol Blade's attacks use anti-magical energy. This energy does normal damage to a non-magical or elemental being. Double damage to magical users and elemental users. And does four times the damage to a totally magical or elemental being or spirit. The magical energy of the necromancer would be nullified, as well as the magic holding together the reanimated skeleton. The result? Ryugi would simply be peppered by some useless bones as the energy negated the energy keeping the warrior together. The energy would hang in the air as well, wreaking havoc with any more spells attempted by the necromancer at this close range as Ryugi slashed diagonally upwards from left to right with the weapon, aiming to gut the necromancer with a powerful hit...

"Well...that's not somethin' you see every day."
Arzhael was still chewing on his straw, striding out from his hotel to come upon Barton Town Square. What met his eyes really wasn't something he had expected to see. Sure, people were screaming, running for their lives, and explosions were ringing out everywhere, but Arzhael had expected something a bit less...dead.
A pile of bodies greeted him near the fountain, along with a number of conscious citizens huddled next to them. Arzhael could only guess as to what they were being held there for, and none of those hypothetical situations were good.
He'd turn his head, spit the straw to the ground, and reach up with both hands to draw the Dark Legion's Edge and the Tallum Blade. Gauntleted fingers affirmed their grips on the weapons before he started moving forward, bellowing out a simple
"Hey!"
to get what some would consider unwanted attention.

The necromancer fell back with a long gash across the front of his robes, crying out, blood pouring from the wound. He tried to teleport away but couldn't concentrate enough. Can't do much against an anti-magic sword when all you've got are magical protections. Unfortunately, Ryugi's back was now exposed to the incoming pair of drow, who all but eagerly took advantage of it, sheathed their offhand weapons as they were running and pulling out their hand crossbows, firing their poisoned bolts, one aiming high along his back and the other at his buttocks. With Ryugi focused on the necromancer, and the drow closing in, he would have little opportunity to evade two attacks coming from behind him and at an angle. Even if he somehow did, the drow would be leaping up onto the rooftop by now to meet him, and finish him off should the bolts strike true.

"Oh-ho! Come to join our little party, hey?" said the group's necromancer, who held out his hands and summoned a scythe into them, materializing out of thin air. The black haft was adorned with runes and sigils, and the crescent blade had a keen, silvery edge. "You should've stayed inside, boy. Tear him apart!"
The zombies dropped their meals and came lumbering toward Arzhael, green ichor drooling from their opened mouths. The necromancer twirled his scythe, the blade leaving a trail of moonlight in its path, holding it out to the side and tucked under his right arm. He thrust out his left hand toward Arzhael, darkness radiating around his hand, sending a smoky, shadowy skull flying through the air to strike the man.

"Party? This thing seems pretty dull."
Arzhael wasn't able to finish his chiding before the skull came launched out at him. And while he wasn't a mage or even had a hint as to what various arcana were at play, he was fairly certain that skulls were bad.
A quick step to the side, turning his body so that his shoulder was facing the necromancer, and Arzhael allowed the skull to shoot past his chest. The moment it passed, he'd step back to square up with the necromancer, cracking his neck in an arrogant display of showmanship. The zombies, slowly plodding their way towards him, were just icing on the cake. The duelist smiled.
"Guess I'll have to liven it up a little!"
And he darted forward, no longer wishing to wait for the zombies to close in on him, he made a quick dash for the closest one, raising his right handed sword, the longer and sharper of the two, and brought it straight down to cleave the mobile corpse in twain.

[13] As the first strike hit, Ryugi spun around behind the wounded necromancer, using the raised position of his sword to land a downward diagonal strike from left to right, aimed between the neck and the left shoulder, meant to seriously injure if not end the necromancer. Buy sheer luck, and a bit of warning from the clicking and whizzing, the crossbow bolts would miss Ryugi since he was now behind the wounded foe, and instead, their poisoned bolts would stick into the body of the necromancer, further worsening his predicament, if it could GET any worse for the dark magic user... As Ryugi finished his strike, he'd see the two drow approaching from behind him, as he was now facing them, and would prepare for another engagement with the enemy forces, Sol Blade at the ready.

Ryugi:
The necromancer, though mortally wounded, was not going to go out without a fight. He also saw the two drow coming to his aid, hand crossbows drawn. He ducked and rolled forward as the bolts came whizzing over his head and Ryugi twirled behind him, wincing in pain from his wound, making him slow to get back up to his feet. He still had his head though, which was all that counted. As the two drow landed upon the rooftop to engage Ryugi, the necromancer was digging into one of his pouches, pulling out a vial full of a green liquid, popping the cork, and quaffing it. The drow set themselves between Ryugi and the necromancer, dropping their hand crossbows and drawing back out their daggers. The one to the left struck first, darting in swiftly, feigning a high stab with his sword but then pulling it back and thrusting at his abdomen. The second drow began strafing to the right, flanking Ryugi.
Town Square:
It wasn't a hard thing to do to cut a zombie in half, if the blade being used was keenly sharp. They were slow and made easy targets, but were more dangerous in groups. As the first zombie was split down the middle, another zombie lumbered up to him, retching a vile green ichor. If the vomit made any contact with him, not only would he probably become overwhelmed with nausea from having a zombie just puke on him, but he would also contract a nasty disease which would spread from wherever the vomit made contact, rotting his flesh and weakening him. However, the zombie that Arzhael just split down the middle was still standing. It too began to vomit on him. The necromancer laughed as he watched, boasting aloud.
"You think your mundane weapons will stop the minions of Darshendros?! You are a fool to think it'd be so easy! So long as my golem is here, they will stay standing! Bwa ha ha ha!"
The other two zombies were still lumbering toward him. He would soon be surrounded and covered in zombie vomit.

He ducked and rolled forward as the bolts came whizzing over his head and Ryugi twirled behind him, wincing in pain from his wound, making him slow to get back up to his feet. He still had his head though, which was all that counted. [15] It would seem the necromancer would not die in vain. But perhaps he'd been mortally wounded in vain. Either way, as he started to roll away, Ryugi's body would burst into a thunderous aura of flames and light as he reached a critical point in his energy level. Quote: *Saturation- When Ryugi reaches his natural fully charged energy level (14-20) turns of energy, his body is said to be saturated with elemental energy. When his body is saturated, a thick burning aura of red and orange energy flows around his body. This aura is incredibly hot and can burn any unshielded/unresistant opponent who comes into contact with it almost instantly. The temperature of said aura in its beginning stages alone is even hot enough to melt stone, and weaken most metals. The heat coming off of this aura can be directed and forced towards any direction Ryugi sees fit, and can allow him to fly using the force as propulsion. He can also use the energy of the aura and the combination of it with the heat to attack opponents and defend himself without wasting any energy in the process. However, the aura only has a direct attack radius of ten feet in any direction, limiting its effectiveness to close range only. As the aura erupted around him, Ryugi used the ambient heat energy to shoot forward at a blinding speed, intense heat pouring off of his form as he corkscrewed towards the necromancer, the expanding air from his aura being enough to knock the advancing drow(plural) aside as he stabbed outward with Sol Blade, attempting to pierce the necromancers body. And at this range, the severe heat from Ryugi's aura would serve to char his body and clothes to crunchy outsides and ashes in just a few seconds... With any luck, he'd get to the wounded man and deliver the finishing blow before the necromancer could drink his vial.

The drow were knocked aside by Ryugi's flaming aura ((*snicker snicker*)), tucking into rolls to cushion their falls and immediately getting back to their feet.
"Rei rath!" one of them called out, and they both hopped over the edge of the building into an alleyway, leaving the necromancer to fend for himself. Unfortunately, he would soon find himself at the end of Ryugi's sword, dropping the vial, which shattered and spilled its contents on the floor.

((FF Victory Theme plays)) [17]
The charred, finished body of the necromancer, and the hasty retreat of the two drow signified that Ryugi had won this battle. However, he had not won the war still going on around the rest of Barton. He knew that there were still more groups around the city, and he could hear the cries and explosions of other areas being hit, and hit hard.
He did a quick check of the area, tending to as many wounded as he could that needed his help. After that was all said and done, he still had plenty of energy left, nearly 8 turns of charge, which was oddly enough, the exact same amount he'd had when he entered the fray in the first place. He'd keep his energy below 14 to avoid his massive aura from giving away his position, and he'd take to the rooftops, searching out any other fighters that might need assistance.

MagnusXL And, of course, he'd kill any resistance he happened to pass by in Barton Square. Moonblade heard the titanic explosion that shook the outer walls of the city. He should probably check that out, seeing as they were here to occupy the city and not obliterate it, but they had a would-be hero on their hands by the fountain. He had arrived in time to witness some dude cleave a zombie in half. While he had no doubt the necromancers could handle themselves, there was no sense taking chances. If the man was mobbed, he'd be easier to handle. He quickly advanced towards the fool from behind, but wouldn't get close enough to interfere with the undead currently mobbing him. It'd be a moment before he got there, anyways.

Darshendros the Eternal Arena:
Within the darkness, the shadesteel golem was completely invisible, blending into the shadows and making it highly difficult to hit. Mundane weapons had no effect on the shadesteel golem, absorbing the blows without even a scratch. A claw reached out to grab a soldier, hurling him through the air, while a backhand strike with the other claw would send another hurtling in the other direction. All the while, the negative energy pulses would lessen the effects of the healing spells the Guardians were constantly casting. The construct continued advancing toward the Guardians.
The drow relentlessly attacked the Knights, keeping them on their heels, disoriented by the darkness. Faerie Fire outlined their bodies, making them easier targets to hit. They fought in practiced unison, dancing around the Knights, attacking high and low at the same time. Chaszmyr swept behind one of the Knights, slashing out with his short sword to hamstring a Knight, while another weaved between that knight and another, dual sabers slashing at the neck and chest of the latter. The third, armed with a longsword and main gauche, batted at the knight's weapon with the former while thrusting at his chest with the latter.
The lich raised its staff, activating one of the spells stored inside of it with a command word and sweeping the crystalline head over the darkness affected area. A wave of negative energy swept over the felled cadavers of the undead minions, and moments later they began to reform and rise again, lurching toward the defenders.
Train Station:
The necromancer muttered words of power immediately after seeing the lightning bolt be deflected by some sort of protection, waving his hands to cast dispelling magic upon Antoine and hopefully strip him of one or some of his enchantments. The drow advancing toward him moved swiftly, weaving to the right and left. Suddenly, darkness would envelope them, and an instant later the drow would strike from behind with that sickly glowing blade, slashing horizontally at the man's lower back.
The shadesteel golem wouldn't be affected at all by the vibrations in the ground, though the explosion did force it to pause a moment. The drow changed coarse when the ground started rumbling, leaping back and activating levitation spells to ride the force of the explosion, dropping back to the ground a few feet away. The golem came in swiftly, slashing with its claws, negative energy pulsing from its form to weaken her. Darkness would envelope them as well, aiding the construct with its shadow blend ability. Arena: Soldiers were rendered useless in no time, not apt to fight beings as strong as a golem. The Guardians repositioned, one in front ready to intercept the golem, the other two in the back. One of the back row healer aimed his stick at the darkness-covered area. "Gvur Tialla!" The fresh scent of spring washed over the battlefield, and as if swept away by a soft breeze, the darkness evaporated. Finally able to see, the Knights didn't need to endure the hits anymore. Daggers and swords were parried skillfully, and managed to stay on par with their opponents. Only, their stamina had greatly suffered from the numerous wounds they had recieved. Although quickly closed by the Guardians' magic, each blow stayed no less painful, and two were already panting heavily. Captain Amelie, with a nod, snapped her fingers. Her body was engulfed in a torrent of black smoke from head to toe for an instant, and once it vanished, she was nowhere to be seen; invisible. An Aerialist's Dark Illusion. Train Station: "Merkaba Hanzelrusha!" Even through the darkness, a large cross of golden light formed on the floor, pulsating softly, sending ripples of light along the floor like on the surface of a pool. Each of these pulses, to anyone hostile to the caster, would pierce their very soul like a searing blade. It caused no wounds, Guardians being devoted to life, but was greatly effective in protecting the spellcaster for its half a minute duration. Annie was having more trouble, though. Rolling under the golem's claws, she ran out of the area of darkness While reaching to the inside of her shield, pulling out one of the small holy posters that were attached there. She turned slightly to run toward the necromancer, poster raised before her. "Baraqijal Esna." The poster disintegrated into a bright red ball of light that shot out to the spellcaster, to surround him with a faint glow of the same color. For a short time, his physical strength and agility would be improved, but in exchange, his flesh was rendered softer, and his bones brittle. A direct impact from one of Annie's more powerful techniques would be enough to break him in this state, and it was with that goal in mind that she rushed to him.

'Andi watched the sceen in the square play out for a moment before she decided what needed to be done. The norn reformed herself, the shining white figure standing at the end of the alley way with an arrogant smile before she glanced over her shoulder at Grace. " Back up the duelist please, I will see what can be done about that golem." 3nodding and with that she opened another tear in space and hopped right through to dissapear again as the rift closed. eek Grace's jaw dropped open as 'Andi abandoned her... and it took all of half a second before her shock turned to profesional confidence and the Elven woman stepped up to the end of the alley so she could see what she was doing. The duelist was likely very good to take on such a large group with such simple arrogance, and Grace hoped that he wouldn't mind a little help from afar. " Holy Light!" Grace called out the comand for her spell, selcting the Duelist himself as her target, for a few minutes he would have a holy aura and his weapons would act as blessed against the undead facing him, unless he was a creature of evil, and then she would seriously be screwd xp . Grace's Spell book Holy Light~ Calls down the cleansing light of the divine (roll 1 10 sided die for the strength of spell, 10 being the spell at full strength) ((Edit wink ) For Desi!
