Segarus Selene Hagisaka Segarus silently cursed in her head. The way Liara made her sound was like one of those...test tube baby experiences. She might as well be an exotic plant being dissected. She quietly walked beside Liara a few steps then they seemed to stop. She let her eyes wander as she hope not to be adding pressure to the young noble. But the way she was struggling...it was almost humiliating. Segarus had sighed covering her eyes with the palm of her gloved hand. Then she heard a male voice. Raising an eyebrow, she unveiled her eyes staring at a gingery looking male...that made her feel extremly short! merde...just what I feared looking like a lost first year...calm...relax...he won't bite will he? she thought to herself then caught Liara in the corner of her vision. Poor girl. Guess she was going to do the talking.
" My friend here and I are...first years...first timers you may say to the island...I...we, " Segarus sighed again as she palmed herself in the face. Her cheeks were bright red from embarrassment. Thank god she was able to show some human like emotions like that. " Basically we ain't alright love..."

Kin looked up from his salad to see Cole staring down the invisible glass as though she had gotten into a staring contest with it. A single large leaf of lettuce hung cutely from his mouth as he nodded in response to her first question. The objects he conjured were pretty much just normal objects, well except for the whole invisible thing. Though he could make it so certain people couldn't touch them, he tended to save that for more serious situations. When she reached out to touch the thing, but recoiled away Kin cocked his head to the side, confused by why she did that.
No its just a regular glass, you should be able to touch it just fine
he wrote. When she started concentrating on it further to the point her eyes started glazing over he got a bit worried.
Coal, are you allright?
he wrote out quickly, though he wasn't sure she could even read it. A bit frightened her reached out and began shaking her shoulder gentle, trying to get her to snap out of it, worry written across his face.

She glanced once more at the strange empty air surrounding the water and picked up her fork again, reading his last message. She laughed a bit at his note, "Oh, Colette, sweetie. 'Cole', as in my name Cole is spelled C-O-L-E. Although, it's funny you did that. Real coal--when put under pressure and left to its own devices--turns into diamonds." She smiled brilliantly, twirling her fork a little as she popped the last bit of fish into her mouth, "So I suppose I'm flattered then." She pushed a clean plate towards the center of the table, so the waitress would know to pick it up. She had also filled Cole's water glass at some point when she hadn't been paying attention, so Cole took another long drink, still feeling a little weirded out by the invisible glass sitting across the table.xxxxxxx

Kin chuckled a bit as Cole broke out of her trance. He was glad she wasn't dying or something atleast. When she told him he had been spelling her name wrong the whole time he blushed in embarrassment, though apparently the fact she said yes when he showed her the wrong spelling seemed to slip her mind. Immediately he took out his note pad and wrote out her name properly.

he showed it to her and nodded. When she went on a tangit about coal turning to diamonds, and someone managing to get a complement out of this, Kin looked completely lost and confused.
ummm your welcome? I think
he wrote to her, giving her a small "I'm lost" grin. Stuff like this tended to just fly over Kin's head since he wasn't the brightest, so in times like this he just tended to smile and go with it. He noticed her eyeing the glass again as she took a drink and Kin smiled and held it out to her. Offering to let her take a drink to prove it was real.

"Ah, you and me both. Just came in yesterday, to be honest." Via suicide airlines, to be precise... For the moment, his attention was affixed to the tiny demoness, who rose to just midway to his chest. He decided to take the straight-foreword approach, not really feeling they were the type to dally on. "Aaaalrighty then, let's see what we got here... Where you two heading?" "Umm... well... we weren't heading anywhere in particular, perse'-" "Ah, havin' a wander then. No drama, I'm actually trying to find the Gym. " Royce knelt down next to her, unwittingly getting really close to Liara. For the first time in her life, she was embarrassed: right next to her was this towering man in a tanktop and boxing shorts and... quite frankly smelt very nice, as if he'd freshly showered. As soon as she noticed that she smelt him, she shook her head vigerously, her features returning to normal. "Bloody hell, the island big enough? Ah, here we go. We're here, and the school building are up here, which is down that path." He pointed down the pathway he was travelling on, the main buildings being seen in the distance. "Over in that direction is the beach, and down that path there is the other areas, human and angel." Liara couldn't help but stare at the boy as he stood up, finding the place he was looking for. She was absolutely mesmerised by such a person, so seemingly carefree and helpful. She'd never even heard of such a thing. "Well, I need to get going: I've gotta keep my training regime on a regular schedule lest the demons or angels here find me getting down to the level of a normal human. Laters." He turned and took a bite from one of his apples and started walking to the school buildings and towards the gym. Liara, on the other hand, she just watched him walk away. "... so that's a... 'normal' human? Not a sinner?" She was absolutely gobsmacked... even to the point that she never realised she was following him. She didn't even know if Segerus was following her or not, but either way she didn't care. This person was the most interesting thing she'd seen in her life. ╚══════════════════════════════════════════════════════════╝ -"On top of that, I get my own house, no rent, no bills and no limit to the amount of food I can have? After the attention was off of her, Aura found herself in the kitchen area, trying the different types of coffee. "This tastes amazing.." but it was written all over her face the fact that despite the great taste in both the angelic and the demonic, Aura's throat closed each time she tried to swollow. She quickly spit out the angelic and tried the demonic coffee, the same thing again. The idea of spitting out such good tasting anything seemed to make her feel sick to the point she blindly moved and found herself in the room she had been in the night before and laid on the bed, with a face greener than the greenest leaf on the island.

Shikori Kazayu, Namihana Kazayu  Shikori rolled his eyes when Kin fled, not looking his way. For some, it is murder.... yet is it murder when if one does not kill, those he doesn't put down kills others? he thought as he turned away, his form rippling as it shifted back to his human form. Namihana sighed as she loped along, having left Royce's home. She paused as she sensed a ripple of youkai, so slight she wouldn't have recognized if she hadn't been close enough to see it. She glanced up at the half fallen pine tree, seeing that her brother had been staring at it. A grin flashed over her face as an idea came to her, one that she really liked.

Segarus Selene Hagisaka Segarus coughed as she glanced over at Liara. " You really are new at this huh...your highness." she asked quietly. She gave a nod. Yes he was defiantly her kind alright...well the kind that wanted her more dead than anything. Segarus felt sick to the gut recalling the death warrant her mother placed on her and her father. Then she remembered the original reason to come to the school; to gain protection from her. She chuckled softly. " Yes Liara...that's a normal human as far as they go...though I can't place his accent." She stopped talking again realizing something. She didn't even know his name!?! She decided to try one of those demonic motions her father taught her, well that she learned on her own. She pulled out a scrap piece of paper that was in her boot and quickly wrote down a message. She lightly lit it on fire, the delicate blue and orange. She concentrated and tossed it in the sky watching it change into a wisp of smoke floating in the direction of the strangely helpful male. She would have ran but she didn't want to scare him...her abilities were still being harnessed.
The paper lightly landed on Royce's shoulder,lightly sparkling with the harmless flame. The inscription glistened for only the receiver to read. Thanks again for the help. Sorry if things gotten complicated. I was wondering if I can see you again for I can give you a proper hello. The name is Segarus S. Hagisaka-Infernas, I'm the taller blue eyed one. Please don't let the littler one, Liara T. Voldorm scare you :p Oh and I bet you figured out we are one of the demonic plane students here...well you right except it's 1 1/2 of us. She swirled her water a moment, then held it up in the air, a smile playing on her lips, "Cheers, mate. Now, are you sure you don't want me to take care of my own? I got the letter explaining how this credit stuff works, and the envelope had...about a hundred? I think that's what you start out with." Cole reached over to her suitcase, preparing to unzip it and rummage around for her SC.xxxxxxx

Kin shrugged and smiled even though she rejected his offer. he left her to her "solid" objects, and when she proposed a toast Kin picked up his invisible glass and clinked it against hers before drinking. When she started rummaging for her SC card Kin clasped her hands in his and shook his head.
its fine really. i'm the one who dragged you out here, and i allready said i'd pay. you should spend your first SC on something special. besides, i plenty of SC to spare.
he wrote. he pulled put his SC card and showed her the 1800 on the amount display. He smiled at her again as if to say "i got this" and he still holding onto one of her hands. "enjoy your date huh? well here's your check, i can ring this up for you if you'd like" the waitress chimed in from out of no where.

She laughed at his word interpretation of how they'd ended up here. Partially because he couldn't have dragged her if he had a hundred more pounds and a straitjacket, and partially because the look on his face was so sincere it made her a little uncomfortable. She wasn't used to people being so...angelic. Angelic? That was the first word that came to mind, and it made her heart jump. It would explain his kindness, why he was so trusting, and so afraid of Shikori...xxxxxxxCole didn't get to finish her thought, as the waitress came over, bringing with her a significant misunderstanding. "Oh, no, no no," she retracted herself from Kin's gentle grip and waved both hands in the air, echoing her sentiments, "We're just...friends?" The end of Cole's sentence lifted like a question as she turned back towards Kin, blushing softly. She already sort of considered them friends and hoped he agreed. The question of whether he was an angel still nagged at the back of her mind, but that could wait until Ms. Nosypants the waitress had gone back to her duties.

Kin smiled at Cole. they hadn't known each other long, but Kin could tell she'd be a great friend. To be honest spending time with her had given him time to clear his head in regards to the others. While he probably wouldn't ever feel safe around Shikori or the red head again, and he had no idea what to think about Caligon or Eyumi, but Glass and Namihana were still his friends, and maybe there was an explanation for why Aura had flipped out as well. His train of thought was derailed however when the waitress came in and assumed they were on a date. Kin blushed slightly and just chuckled silently as Cole cleared up the misunderstanding. Kin had never been on a date before, so he didn't know what one was like. though he guessed it must be similiar to what they had been doing if the waitress had gotten confused. When Cole said they were just friends Kin's face brightened into a gentle smile, happy to know she thought of him as a friend. He nodded to both Cole and the waitress and handed her his SC card. The waitress took it and smiled "my bad deary, seemed like a pretty cute couple to me though" she said giving Cole a sly wink. She headed off to check them out and Kin smiled at Cole.
So we're officially friends then?

"No shame. And she needs to re-dye her roots," she scoffed, sipping the last of her water in some vain attempt to hide her reddened cheeks. Her eye was drawn to Kin's notepad as she set the glass down, and it turned out he was asking the one of the questions she had on her mind. Without meaning to, she burst into good-natured laughter yet again. "Yeah, I think so. Officially we can be mates." She emphasized the word 'officially' as though it sounded silly to her. And in fact, it did, considering the circumstances. She shook her head, smiling and lifting up the suitcase handle as they prepared to leave the restaurant, "I hope you're ready for some curious adventures." With another question weighing on her mind, she paused and debated with herself a moment before asking, "Say, speaking of which--and I hope this doesn't offend you or anything--but are you...you know...an angel?"xxxxxxx

Kin didn't seem to notice Cole's reaction to the waitresses teasing, not that he'd know to take anything from it if he did. He mutely laughed at her quip about the waitresses hair. When Cole confirmed they were friends Kin smiled and nodded, though he noticed she seemed to be making fun of him for using the word officially. To be honest he wondered why he said it himself. After all usually he just assumed everyone he spent more than 5 minutes with was automatically his friend. It seemed that last night was still affecting him subconsciously. Even if it was in small, almost completely insignificant ways, it had affected his ability to trust others. As she stood up from the table Kin followed suit and nodded readily at the thought of curious adventures, whatever that meant. However it seemed his forward momentum was derailed a bit when asked if he was an angel. The deerkin looked at him with a raised eyebrow for a moment, then immediately raised his hand and pointed at the antlers growing out of his head as if to say "obviously not". Still he found the situation really funny, and after keeping a straight face for so long broke out into a fit of unheard laughter, litterally you couldn't hear it. After a few seconds to catch his breath he took out his notepad and began writing away.
No I'm not an angel. I'm just a regular ol' beastkin, a deerkin to be exact. Its why the circus named me Kin to being with. A few of their members were supernaturals to you see. Though since I've grown up around humans in america all my life I've never really though about myself like that. I really feel like more of an abnormal human than anything.
he explained. Suddenly the waitress came up to them and handed him back his card. He smiled and waved as she walked off to another table and he slipped the card into his pocket. However as they were leaving he gently tugged on her sleeve and showed her another note.
still it makes me happy that you'd think I was an angel
he wrote, smiling at her sweetly. No one had ever compared him to an angel before. he guessed that meant Cole thought he was really nice.
