Jett watched with rapt attention as the egg cracked, more and more until the upper half gave way to reveal a Pokemon that he had never seen before in his life. The Centipede Pokemon wriggled out of his shell, making small sounds of frustration as he did so, little legs and feelers twitching all over. Once he had righted himself on the floor of the hallway, he stared with half-lidded eyes up at the boy that marveled down at him.

"Look at you," Jett said, grinning unconsciously as he reached over to pick up the Bug/Poison-type and lifted him up to get a better look. Venipede wriggled a little but found that the trainer was not lifting him up to drop him and relaxed a little, eyes opening a little more to stare back at his new trainer. "What are you?" He wished the Venipede could answer, but it only made another sound in response, and he let the bug back down for the moment. Jett retrieved his Pokedex and pointed it at the Centipede Pokemon, hoping that since he had only received it earlier in the day, it would be updated with the newest information. "Venipede, the Centipede Pokemon. Its bite injects a potent poison, enough to paralyze large bird Pokemon that try to prey on it. It discovers what is going on around it by using the feelers on its head and tail. It is brutally aggressive." Venipede was very much disinterested in the description the Pokedex had for him, already shuffling along the tiled floor, his feelers twitching as he investigated his current environment. Jett looked at the Pokedex again, blinking. Something wasn't right. The picture he was given was a different colored Venipede, one more purple and green than brown and green. Maybe it was like Jasper's Ditto, differently colored and all. The thought only made him grin more.

"You don't seem brutally aggressive, you know." He squatted down to beam down at his newest Pokemon, making the Bug/Poison-type stop in his tracks and stare back uncertainly. "My name is Jett! It's nice uh, to meet you. I think I'll call you Viy, if that's all right with you." He reached out his hand, offering it to the very much handless Venipede, but the centipede assented to this and quickly scurried up the boy's arm, past his shoulder, to rest atop his head. He seemed to like it there, having a vantage point. Viy made a sound of contentedness and Jett stood back up, careful to keep the Pokemon atop the crown of his head. As he stood, the door farther down the hallway opened and Scarlet entered, looking slightly distracted. "Hey, Scarlet," he called, collecting the egg shells from which Viy came and rushing forward to meet his friend, "you wouldn't believe what just happened, it was the weirdest thing--hey, are you okay?" The fateful intervention seemed to be momentarily forgotten in his concern for his friend, noticing the downward cast of his eyes.

Kasiya had pulled her knees up to her chest and sort of curled up on the hard plastic chair, vaguely aware of the two other girls near her. Their quiet chitchat about Mike was comforting and she was sure that if she sat there a little longer, she'd fall fast asleep. The thought of sleep jolted her awake and she sat bolt upright, rubbing her eyes and lightly slapping her cheeks. She couldn't fall asleep now, not until Mike had awoken and she'd seen him and that he was okay with her own two eyes. She was still having trouble understanding the whole story of what had even happened to him, but she deemed it unimportant so long as he was still alive, and breathing. Even if the breathing did include fire sometimes. She could deal with fire. She could not deal with her friends being dead. Jaeshan...

She was now thinking about what had happened to her spiky blonde friend, as her morose thoughts were good at keeping her awake. The news report said they hadn't found his body so all she could see was Jaeshan surrounded by dark, cold water... and then there was a sharp, loud and familiar voice cutting through the air and Kasiya sat up again, quickly wiping away the tears that had started to fall. It's Mike's mom, she thought jumping to her feet as a severely windswept Flannery had staggered into the waiting area after Mrs Kyoka, looking as though she were going to drop to the floor and start kissing it at any second. Kasiya moved toward Mike's mom but stopped once the woman had started shouting at the nurse at the station, her face reddening when she realized that they hadn't admitted Mike under his real name.

Flannery walked past Winona and Sasha, fully aware of the argument that had broken out between the two but choosing to ignore it, and instead she stopped in front of Kasiya. "Milo Smith?" she repeated, placing a hand on her hip as she gave the younger girl an incredulous look. "Seriously?"

"It was stupid, I know that now," Kasiya said sheepishly, looking at the floor. "But I panicked. I mean if I'd given his real name they would have made the connection between him and Saffron and the news sooner or later and I couldn't... that... I just..." Tears began to well up in the blonde's eyes once again.

"No, you're right," Flannery sighed, finding it both comforting and annoying that it was difficult to stay angry with Kasiya. Regardless of her feelings for Mike and everything that had happened, the girl's heart was as pure as gold and Flannery couldn't help but envy her for that. Flannery always had difficulty keeping her feelings in check, including both her fiery temper and her jealous streak, especially when it came to her shaggy-haired Mike. "Even though your choice in names was very stupid, you did the right thing." Very suddenly she grabbed Kasiya by the shoulders and pulled her in for a hug. "Thank you. For taking care of him," the gym leader whispered.

When Flannery was suddenly moving toward her, Kasiya gasped and flinched, but quickly relaxed upon realizing that the older girl was hugging her. She sighed and closed her eyes. "Any time," she answered quietly.

During the exchange between the blonde and the redhead, Mrs Kyoka seemed to finally make some headway in locating her son and she quickly darted off down the hall. Kasiya and Flannery exchanged glances and nodded before they followed after her, leaving the bickering behind them. It was hard not to pick up on Karen's fear as they practically raced down the hall, scanning room numbers and not caring if they startled the other patients along the way. When they reached the right room, there was a small moment of dread as the two girls steeled themselves and wandered in after Karen, the sight of Mike lying in his hospital bed was almost too much for them to bear. Flannery whimpered and struggled to keep her tears at bay, and Kasiya, while pained by Mike's appearance, was relieved to see the rise and fall of his chest. He was breathing, which was a good sign for sure.

"Oh, Mike," Flannery whimpered, carefully making her way to the side of the bed and taking up position beside Karen. The heat the boy was giving off was intense, but it seemed rather mild compared to the volcano they'd just been traipsing around inside. Flannery looked up at the worried mother, trying to find words to explain, but couldn't, and this time, there was no Keegan to pass the buck too. Wordlessly, she looked to Kasiya, who, oddly enough, was the most calm and composed of the three of them.

"Don't worry, he's all right," Kasiya said reassuringly, placing her hand on Mike's. He still felt very hot, but it wasn't like before, when even contact for a few seconds would leave her skin blistered and red. "This fire... this heat... it's part of him now," she said, her voice sounding almost older and wiser; far away even, and she turned to Karen, and placed her hand on the woman's arm. "Okay, this is going to sound incredible. Crazy even, but Mike... well, it wasn't a rock climbing accident." She took a deep breath, and looked over at the boy before glancing back up at his worried mother. "This is gonna sound very scary, but..." She wasn't sure how much Karen already knew but she explained what she knew of Mike's new condition, doing her best to keep her tone steady as she spoke. She didn't want to upset Karen even further.

Surge pumped a fist when he saw his Electabuzz's attack hit, keeping his eye open for that telltale crackle of electricity indicating that Static had activated. It was plain to see that Pupitar had taken quite a lot of damage, but it wasn't done yet, and instead fought back with another rain of deadly rocks. "Close in on it, Electabuzz!" Surge shouted, his voice like a roar. "Ice Punch!" The Electric-type charged forward, already punching rocks out of its way with an icy fist (and racking up some passive damage as a result). A particularly large rock slammed the Electric-type and he staggered, looking weaker and weaker but he persevered, now throwing his icy fist at the Rock/Ground-type. Surge, while certain that Electabuzz was all but done for in this battle, couldn't be prouder.

"Does someone here have an updated Pokedex?" Another person asked at the table. There were a few murmurs of a affirmation as they all scrambled to get their dex out. Robin herself had an updated pokedex and carefully putting the new born down on the table she reached into her bag and pulled out her own. Clicking it open she pointed it at the small fire bug, at least she thought it was a fire bug, and hit the scan button. The dex seemed to be to be thinking for a moment before a large question mark appeared on the screen. "Are you broken?" Robin muttered, around the table she heard a few more surprised and maybe irritated muttering. Hitting the scan button again she frowned as once again it did not bring up any data. Instead the device gave her a sort of smart alikie answer.

I do not know what it is. Stop scanning it.

"How do you not know what it is!" Robin growled at the device. On the table Zuko looked a little nervous. Everyone was watching him and they all seemed to be a bit mad. "Mine is being a jerk. Anyone else get what it is?" Robin asked pouting as she shoved the red dex into her bag with a huff.

"No mine just keeps giving me a question mark."

"Mine's not working either."

Hmm, no ones seemed to be working. Well that was just great.

"Why don't you take a picture of it and send it to one of the professors?" Ampersand suggested. Was he the only one at the table with any sort of brains here? Looking at the way Ace rolled his eyes he guessed not.

"Oh right great idea!" Robin grinned as she took out her phone and aimed the camera at her new pokemon. "Smile Zuko!" The bug pokemon just looked at her as she snapped the picture. "Aww so cute!" She couldn't help but give him another hug being careful not to stab herself on the horns. Maybe some of her friends would know if she showed them to? Changing her message she attached the picture and hit send all.

Look how cute it is! Anyone know what it is though? The Pokedex is being a jerk. -Robin

"Um, you probably guessed this but um, I just wanted to tell you that I kinda like you." Angelic nervously blurted out almost the moment they had sat down.

Dante probably should have seen it coming. He really should have since he didn't really think he was the dumbest person ever. However he wasn't the most apt at figuring out social cues and so he was kind of taken aback by the girls sudden declaration. It had seemed a bit weird that she was following him around so much and she had helped him for basically nothing. Dante just thought she was being weird though. Biting his bottom like Dante tried his best to think of something to say that wouldn't really hurt her feelings but made it clear he wasn't interested. In typical luck for him though his blurted answer was likely going to make things worse for him.

"Sorry I already am dating someone else." Great. Just great. Dante was so not dating anyone else and had no intention of starting to. " Erm, sorry to lead you on?" Stop talking Dante. Stop digging yourself into a hole.

The blond looked a little disappointed but she gave him a small understanding smile. "I kind of figured. Did Leo get to you first?"

"What."

"You weren't supposed to tell him!" Came the sudden shout of Leo who fell out of the tree above him. "I was going to seduce him out from under you if you said yes!"

Inside Dante wanted to die. This was so embarrassing. His face was a bright red as he watched the two start to argue about who was going to seduce him out from whoever he was dating now.

"So who are you dating hmm? Where are they? I bet I look so much better then them, you should date me instead." They both took turns pestering him with questions. Just when Dante was wondering if he could escape the two if Kenny pulled him underground a loud crack was heard. Looking over at the green and brown egg that Angelic had set down on the bench next to him he noticed that it's shell was smooth and uncracked, like always. If it wasn't that egg hatching then was it? Looking down into his lap he noticed that the egg he just got was hatching. The two others stopped yelling and Kenny floated up through the ground and all five of them watched as Dante's new egg started to hatch.

There was something fierce in the air, the heat of battle was intense as Crenu and Surge raged on, their pokemon engaged in a war over the pride of men. Neither trainer nor pokemon were surprised to see Electabuzz running forwards his icy fist beating rocks apart to get to Pupitar while taking a few to the body, particularly a rather large one in the chest. But the electric type pounded forward still with such determination that even Pupitar had to respect this opponent and even the trainer. Crenu wasn't going to give in either though and wanted victory just as badly as before, even more so now. "Smash him Pupitar with you Brick....Break..." It was at this time that Crenu felt something odd around his body, something of a mental squeeze that seemed to penetrate and even scan the innards of his skull as it surrounded him. But he just frowned and loomed on, the sensation annoying him more than anything. Pipitar however didn't pay any mind to the strange sound in his voice however, as a command was a command and as Electabuzz charged him he charged in return, head first horns glowing with might shooting right for his body. As Pupitar got in close he felt a cold fist plow into his side, the numbing frost taking over and stinging his body in the worst way. He pushed forward though intent on not stopping, but what happened next was unknown to the pokemon as he fainted from the damage. Meanwhile Crenu wasn't sure what happened either, as there was a flash of light before him. Refusing to give whatever it was the satisfaction he didn't look away, and as it faded he saw an oval shaped object falling in front of him, his arm shooting arm shooting out catching it in his palm. Holding out at arms length he looked at what was a pokemon egg, an egg that just appeared out of thin air at that, and looked as though he contemplated dropping the mystery egg or keeping it. He sure as hell didn't trust this thing that just teleported into his space, and was more than sure that it had caused his headache which made him like it even less. But as he held it he felt an odd warmth from the egg that kept him from dropping it. Instead he brought it closer to him and while he didn't hug it or hold it dearly, he held it secure enough that it wouldn't fall. He couldn't stop looking at the egg as he tried to figure out what had happened, but he liked its warmth and at the same time disliked that he liked it.

"Oh its a baby....thing?" Jason said curiously as he looked at the newborn pokemon before him. It was black and red and very very Sharp looking. Everywhere he looked on its body it had blades on it, even right out of the egg it looked deadly. But Jason smiled as he looked at it, it sure was a cute little thing. "Why hello there little one. And who might you be? Heehee, I bet you're a steel type aren't you? Yes you are, such a pretty pokemon." He said gently as he moved his hand over to it, weary of the blades and stroking the smooth part of it's head with his finger. The blade baby cried lightly as he scratched its head then suddenly leaped up hugging him. It didn't mean to he was sure, but as it jumped into his chest its blades dug into his skin, and the boy started to bleed a bit wincing from the hug and especially when it nuzzled him with its head that snorted a large axe like blade. But Jason only made a small sound and didn't freak out, instead just gritted his teeth and smiled. It was just a baby after all, and it wasn't its fault that it was a walking switch blade. As a trainer and more importantly as a researcher it was his duty to embrace all aspects of a pokemon. "Blades from head to toe, you don't even have hands, just blades. You're definitly a fighter. Heehee, ok let's see what you are. He said as he pried it from his body, which hurt like heck, and placed it down. The little pokemon made a light cry and loomed at him sadly for a moment, but he quickly pulled out some food from his bag and put it in a bowl for her. "I don't know what you eat but that's formulated for rocks and steel types, lots of earthy minerals and such so I think its good for you." The sharp pokemon loomed at it wearily, skewering a pellet with its hand blade which extended a bit much to Jasons amusement. After sniffing it it took a bite and seemed ok but it ate slowly so he knew it wasn't totally to its liking. He took out his dex and scanned it now that he had a chance.

"Pawniard, the sharp blade pokemon. It's entire body is comprised of sharp blades, if battling dulled the blades it sharpened them on a stone by the river."

"Cool, says here that you are definitely a steel type but also a dark type. And you're a female, which is obvious since you're such a pretty little thing. Mmm and you know Psycho Cut, way way cool...and an ability I never heard of which is even cooler. But you're from....from Unova? Where's Unova? I didn't even know there was a Sinnoh until a few days ago and now I have an Unova pokemon? Oh man this is getting weird and you're so cool too! My little blades queen of the night, and a deadly beauty to you as well. Let's see I think I'll call you...Nyx. How's that? Fits you well I think." The baby Pawniard munched away as she looked at Jason and and nodded in approval. He grinned looking at her, and it was at this point Atlas chose to wake up moving his large stone coils around as he gathered himself causing Nyx to jump into Jason startled by the rock snake, making him wince as she stabbed him repeatedly. "Ah ch ch ch, note to self, get some thicker clothing....or armor. Heh heh heh heh heh."

++++++++++++++++++++++++++

"Un zapo? Un zapo bebe? With a kind of funny face too." Carlos said as he looked at the newborn tadpole sitting on the table before them. The little thing looked at him, then at everyone, and feeling overwhelemed with so many people it cried out, the bumps on the side of its head vibrated and started to emit a high pitched sound. "Ah no no, no llores little one!" Carlos said as he swung his guitar and started to play a melody in hopes of calming it down. The tadpole seemed very responsive to the music, and the vibrations changed the sounds it made a little gentler. The pokemon started hopping rhythmically matching the waves it put out, it almost seemed to be talking with Carlos's guitar. "Eh heh heh, mira it sings! I knew this little egg had a rhythm to it. It's eyebrows even look like notas don't they?" He stopped playing and the tadpole stopped hopping, but it smiled as it looked at him no longer making vibrations. He held out his hands and it hopped onto him, its little tail flapping about. "Ah ha ha, mi amigo you like music too no? Asi es, bueno but I do wonder what you are. You're definitly not from around here, even if you did appear on this beach."

"Tympole, the tadpole pokemon. They warn others by vibrating their cheeks and creating a high pitched sound."

"Its a water type, hermano. And it knows Earth Power, wow. It's a male, and has hydration. Also its from a place called Unova, somewhere far away I think. Why don't you have a pokedex Carlos?" His younger sister said snickering. They were all younger, aside from their parents he was the oldest in the room, she the second oldest, their sister a little younger and their cousin was the youngest.

"Ah, gracias Amalia. I had one but it kinda...fell down a mountain a while back. Heh heh, well now we know what you are amigo. I think I'll call you...Ricardo! Yes a very nice name fitting a musician such as yourself no?"

"ah mi hijo that's a cute new friend you have there. Congratulations! Bueno usted venistes para tocar la guitara verdad? While we touch up your musical talents we'll teach this little one to play music to! Todos, a los instrumentos!" And with his fathers word everyone got into position. He took up his trumpet and the younger daughter did as well. Amalia and Carlos readied their guitars while his mother got on her drum and little primo Jose took up the maracas. One after another they started to play in harmony the family smiling as they played their music, and the little Tympole cried eagerly as he hopped around them making his own musical tone that while rough was starting to pick up the rhythm of la familia.

"Oh, would you just shut the ******** up already and FLY?" Keegan growled, resisting the urge to kick his Skarmory in the side (as it probably wouldn't help matters anyway, and kicking a bird made of steel while it was in mid-flight seemed like a really stupid idea, even for him). Alvero, in his usual style, was giving his best effort to make the flight as unbearably noisy as possible, grinding his wings together while screeching out at the top of his voice. Of course, and Keegan probably knew this on some level, the Armor Bird was only doing it because he knew it pissed the human off and it caused him some discomfort in the form of a nasty headache. Keegan made a mental vow to catch another - no, any, anything but that damned cranky Skarmory - flying type and banish the bird to the inside of his PC box until the end of time.

After separating from Flannery, Keegan's little errand had gone rather smoothly. He'd pretty much run headlong to the farmer's market where he bought a single, small but not too small pumpkin. After fishing a black sharpie out of his backpack he drew a crude, smiling face on it and he hollowed out just enough to load it with several firecrackers. He and Mike had long since been banned from even approaching the places that sold explosives and fireworks, but that hadn't stopped the boys before (after all, they had an innocent-looking Flannery to help them out there). Keegan had to resort to raiding the hollowed-out tree the Trio used to store and hide their contraband items from the parentals, and he was amazed to find that there was still a pretty good stash remaining. Now, Keegan hadn't rigged anything like this up in quite some time but as he worked, it felt like riding a bicycle - the skills returned to him quite naturally. And, if his calculations and wiring were correct, he'd created a perfect, smirking Explode-a-Pumpkin that would either detonate within the next five minutes, or an undisclosed amount of time after he delivered it to Mike, and the recipient believed it to be just a normal pumpkin of the non-explosive variety (he'd even managed to disguise the pumpkin's point of entry). And then, of course, he'd be treated to a rain of pumpkin guts, courtesy of his childhood friend. Keegan wasn't sure why he'd suddenly remembered that practical joke, which had been one of many, but it was one of their most memorable. The redhead was actually smiling as Lilycove appeared in the distance.

It hadn't taken him long to complete this task, and once he'd finished, he'd sent out the Skarmory and the two quickly made good progress towards Lilycove when he saw The Dame speed by overhead. He had no proof other than the Charizard's impressive speed as proof of identification, though he was sure he could hear distant screaming as the dragon passed by overhead. Alvero, while nowhere near as fast as the big momma Charizard, wasn't exactly a slouch either and he flew forward as fast as he could, utterly outraged that he was being outshone by that flaming, winged... thing. Naturally they arrived at the hospital some time after the Dame and her two passengers and Keegan hesitantly thanked the jerkass Skarmory before recalling him back into his Great Ball. He was honestly half-tempted to just release Alvero right then and there, but something stopped him from doing so and instead, he jammed the sphere into his coat pocket.

After some aimless wandering, the redhead finally sucked it up and asked for directions, and after being pointed in the proper direction (and ignoring the inquiries from several worried nurses about the gash over his eye, even if it was throbbing painfully and every five steps or so his vision would grow a bit spotty), he found himself approaching a group of very familiar people. Kilik and Winona had arrived and he assumed that they'd had no issues depositing Maxie in prison. Sasha was there as well, but she seemed preoccupied with a strange looking Pokemon. Unfortunately, he'd just missed the egg-laying incident so he had no idea where the spiky-looking creature had come from. Mrs Kyoka, Flannery and Kasiya, naturally were all missing from the group, and it didn't take a genius to figure out where they were. He approached the nurse's station, trying to look as inconspicuous as possible, but the head nurse would have none of that. The glare she shot him could give a Salamence pause so he turned around and started to walk back toward his friends, muttering greetings as he leaned up against the wall.

He watched the nurse from the corner of his peripheral vision, now a little more concerned with the ticking gourd-bomb he'd carefully placed in his backpack, and suddenly he was second-guessing himself. He'd brought an exploding vegetable into a hospital? Just what the ******** was wrong with him? Panic had started to settle in and he was seriously starting to try and think his way out of this mess, or soon-to-be-mess, anyway. The nurse turned her back and Keegan seized the opportunity, darting past her with all the grace of a disoriented Hariyama while muttering something about needing a bathroom. And he found himself a bathroom, about halfway down the hall and he ducked into it, ignoring the nurse shouting at him about it being a "patient-only" bathroom.

Keegan was still in full-on panic mode, perhaps enhanced by his apparent concussion as he carefully set down his backpack, looking around the small bathroom frantically. At this point he wasn't sure what he was even doing in here, though he hadn't entirely ruled out vomiting his guts out just yet. He carefully reached into his backpack and pulled out the grinning, melon-sized pumpkin, wary as it the marker had smudged on one side, making it look less cute and more creepy. Not only that, but the hole in which he'd made in order to gain access to the vegetable's innards had sank some, and now a sticky, orange goo was leaking out all over the place, and it didn't smell too appetizing, either. In a moment of sheer genius, the redhead lifted up the lid of the toilet and chucked his creation inside before slamming it down again, feeling mighty proud of himself. What could possibly go wrong?
PostPosted: Sat Jul 28, 2012 1:52 pm

Keegan was still hyperventilating slightly as he sat on the closed-lid of the toilet, as though his added weight would be enough to stop any possible explosions from getting out of the toilet. All right, crisis averted, he thought, looking around the tiny bathroom, and sighing. The leaking pumpkin would take on water now, which (hopefully) would interfere with his tinkering and diffuse the firecrackers, thus downgrading it to nothing more than a scribbled on, waterlogged pumpkin for one of the cleaning staff to find later. He sighed and wiped his forehead with the back of his hand, realizing quite quickly that his head wound had started bleeding again. Perhaps he should look into getting it stitched up after all. Grumbling, the redhead got to his feet slowly and turned on the water in the sink, intent on cleaning himself up in an attempt to make himself look less crazy on his return trip to the waiting room. He'd wadded up a bunch of paper towels and soaked them in cold water before pressing them up against his head. There was no mirror in here, which he found both odd, and comforting. He was tired of seeing himself painted with his own blood by now anyway.

There was a light gurgling sound from the toilet and he spun around expectantly, even going so far as to open the lid. A few air bubbles were escaping the pumpkin, making the redhead sigh with relief and he turned back to the sink to start a new wad of clean paper towels, as he'd already bled through the current ones. He repeated this process a few more times until he'd stopped the worst of the bleeding and he was in the midst of wrapping paper towels around his head (which in the end wouldn't really help him to look less bonkers) when there was a curious tingling sensation in his right temple. At first he thought nothing of it, but as the tingling changed to a searing pain, he let out a cry and staggered back, certain his brain had started to bleed and he was going to fall unconscious and die any moment. He even saw the bright, white light of the afterlife beckoning to him. Wait, that's not right, he thought, squinting as the pain intensified. "I'm not supposed to go to the nice place," he protested, shaking his head. "I'm headed down, you've got the wrong guy here."

Not that his muddled brain knew the difference, but this was not actually the warm, welcoming light of heaven beckoning to him, even though it was due to forces well beyond his control. Even still, curiosity got the better of him and he approached the light, realizing at the last minute that he wasn't dying - the pain was gone, just as fast as it had come - and that there was something else going on. The boy had grown up on a breeding ranch so when a Pokemon egg appeared about a foot over his head, his natural instinct was to reach up and grab it, as he knew, to the best of his knowledge, that eggs did not fly. As soon as he touched it, warmth began to spread through his fingers and he knew at once and without a doubt that this egg belonged to him. "Hey, you," he said, cradling it carefully against his chest with the hands of an experienced breeder. In fact, when handling Pokemon eggs, the redhead seemed to adopt a whole new persona, one that most people that knew him would not recognize. He was oblivious to the ominous and continued gurgling of the pumpkin-bomb in the toilet, as at that moment, the only thing he was aware of was the fact that the egg he was holding was wriggling quite energetically, and it had started to give off light, and Keegan smiled. "Oh, hatching already?"

The question of pre battle etiquette was an interesting one for Alex. She really had no clue what would happen. So the prospect of a coin flip sounded incredibly fair, and if she’d had time, she’d have given her assent to that. Unfortunately, at least for Blues, Mya decided to make the first move. She squeaked as the little mouse turned to a white streak, and the Abra’s eyes widened. He didn’t wait for Alex’s order to teleport, though, and by the looks of it, he got out just in time.

Unfortunately, the looks were a little… off, as Mya could probably feel, as she definitely felt contact. Blues reappeared on the opposite end of the field, and he didn’t come back stationary. The Abra let out an ‘oof’ as he skidded backwards, rolling from the impact of the speedy mouse’s even speedier attack. “Blues!” Alex cried out, hoping he was okay. The Psy pokemon sat up and shook his head, eyes opening up and glowing bright white. A look of utter confusion and shock over took him as he turned to face Kressen, just as the egg appeared in front of him.

“W-Woah, wait, where did you…” Alex stared over at the red head, inching a little closer to get a better look at the thing that seemed to just… materialize in thin air, just for him. Then it started glowing. “… What’s…”

As whatever was inside started to hatch, and the bright white light started to glow, another egg popped into existence just in front of the blond. She squeaked again, her hands darting out and clasping around whatever it was before it crashed to the ground.

“I’m sorry we lost,” he said quietly to the pokeball Cindy rested in, on the off chance she was listening. “… It was a big risk with no pay off, like Cyan said. But we’ll get stronger though this, like we always have.” Of course there wasn’t a response. But speaking to her made him feel a little better. Maybe it’d do the same for her. With a sigh, he started off toward the front desk, only stopping when he heard a familiar voice.

“Jett?” It’d been a while. Scarlet finally looked up, a slight smile coming across his face. “Yeah, I’m- AH,” Scarlet screamed, leaping up damn near his full height into the air. “Jett, there’s a giant bug monster on your head!” He jabbed a finger accusatorily at the monstrous multilegged creature sitting on the black haired boy’s head. Then he realized that chances are, Jett would probably be aware of it. “What is that…? Where’d you get it?” Scarlet finally asked, curiously eyeing the odd insectoid pokemon as he approached.

At least until he heard a loud ‘pop’ over his head. He felt something heavy and rather painful fall onto his skull, and as he screamed “Ow,” an egg rolled off of his head, and it was literally all he could do to catch the damn thing without dropping Cindy’s pokeball, and there was a crack running along the bottom of it where it smacked into his skull. “… I am… So very confused right now…”

The confusion wasn’t gonna get any clearer though, especially now that the crack was growing. A loud krick emanated as the fracture ran to the top of the egg. “… Oh god I hope I didn’t break it…”

What stood in Dante's lap was a strange blue thing with messy almost matted, though how it was matted when it just came from the egg was a mystery. It was kind of cute actually, not that Dante would ever admit something was cute, he was trying to build a more manly image here! Next to him Angelic squealed at how cute it was while Leo fiddled with his pokedex. Dante just stared down at the blue black thing in his lap and it, seemingly, stared back up at him, Dante couldn't see any eyes on the thing. The two of them stared at each other for a moment before the thing opened it's mouth and revealed a set of wicked sharp looking teeth. Dante raised an eyebrow at it and moved his hands over to try to take it off of his lap and set it on the ground. That proved to be a mistake though as the blue, whatever it was, decided to clamp those teeth down hard on Dante's forearm.

"Ouch! What the hell!" Dante shouted as pain shot up his arm as his shirt started to get stained a dark red as the pokemon started to shake it's head like a Sharpedo when it tried to rip a chunk out of it's prey's flesh.

"Oh my!" Angelic shouted and tried to reach over to take the thing off of Dante. She didn't get very far as the beast let go of Dante's arm and snapped at her. The blond managed to snatch her hand back away from it before she got bit to.

The small angry pokemon in Dante's lap turned back to Dante and started snapping her mouth at him hissing all the while. It was not happy about something. Dante who had hatched a few eggs before had never seen something like this before. It was Kenny though that managed to save him from the fearsome jaws of the newborn. The large ghost type used it's ghostly hands to pick the angry little beast from his trainers lap and help him/her up in the air. He had a feeling that it would run and try to attack people nearby if he let it down on the ground.

"Aha! It's a Deino!" Leo called as his pokedex chimed in an answer of what exactly they are dealing with. The small device read out in it's robotic voice.

"Deino. The Irate pokemon. This small pokemon is a dark dragon type pokemon. Deino cannot see and instead bite and tackle things to understand their surroundings. They are always covered in wounds and will eat anything. Do not approach carelessly."

In Kenny's hands the small pokemon screeched it's four legs kicking and it's mouth snapping at anything close to it. The only reason Kenny wasn't in as much pain as Dante from all the bites was because he was a lot stronger. The ghost pokemon however did feel, and did not like it very much when the small beast started to cough suddenly small blue flames spitting from it's mouth. Before he could move it away the beast had decided to show him it's Dragon Rage.

As Robin waited for her friends, or at least Professor Rowan to respond she occupied herself by taking some table grapes from that had somehow survived the massacre at her table and started to feed them to her new pokemon. "Oh you are so cute! Yes you are!" She cooed at the pokemon. The bug type gave her a serious look, he had already decided he didn't like to be babied, even if he had just hatched. He had discovered though that he did like the grapes and was happy to eat those.

Robin's pokemon gathered around her curious about their new teammate. Luffy couldn't help but think that this pokemon's white fur looked kinda like cotton candy and was drooling a bit and looked at the new pokemon hungrily even if he had just eaten. Ace regarded this pokemon with narrowed eyes, he could tell this was another fire type pokemon, he wasn't quite sure how he felt about that. Black*Star on the other hand did not feel threatened by this pokemon, probably because it wasn't a starter, however he didn't feel impressed by it either. Raz though was happy to see another bug pokemon and buzzed his wings in excitement as he looked down at the young one, he was a little weary of the heat that seemed to be spilling off of it, how could Robin not feel that? Slowpoke just stared at the pokemon with a dopey look on it's face, Robin wasn't quite sure what if that thing the Espeon had supposedly did on it's brain really had worked. As they were looking at Robin's new pokemon her phone did start to ring.

"Hello?" She asked as she accepted the call not really looking to see who was calling her exactly.

"That pokemon picture you sent me. It is real right?" Rowans rough voice greeted her over the phone.

"Oh Zuko! Yeah he is super cute, I don't know what he is though. I think he is a fire bug type. Isn't that weird?" Robin babbled as she watched her new baby crawl into the bowl full of grapes and start to devour the ones she hadn't given him.

Rowan was silent on his end of the phone for a while. "I am not exactly sure what those are. I do have a hunch though, I believe that is a Larvesta. They are the unevolved form of a very rare and very powerful pokemon." He paused and Robin was pretty sure he was rubbing his mustache as he thought. "Where did you get it?"

"A Larvesta? If you know what it might be why isn't it in the pokedex?"

"I said it might be one. The reason it isn't part of the pokedex though is because we know next to nothing about it. I said they were rare and I meant it. Now where did you get it?" He asked again.

"Oh it just appeared in front of me. He hatched like ten minutes ago."

Rowan was quiet on his end for a while before he spoke up again. "I need to make a few phone calls. Pick up the phone when I call again." That was all the gruff professor said before he hung up the phone.

”Sucker Punch!” Train practically screamed, eyes completely focused on the Pokémon in the water. Raticate turned to face Quagsire, snarling at the creature as it neared. He stuck out his claws and dug into the thing’s skin as it hit him, literally clawing his way over and onto its back and chomping down on his tail viciously. Train was a bit surprised; after all, the attack was called Sucker Punch… But Raticate seemed to just have viciously attacked the Quagsire. He’d never disobeyed her before, so she didn’t think that he’d used some other attack, but… Maybe she should look into that attack a bit more after this. After all, there were a lot of odd moves out there. She glanced up at Misty and then back at the two Pokémon in the water, where Raticate had detached himself from Quagsire and was making his way to one of the floating beds.

Leon sat up straight, pulling his legs up to him and crossing them as the shell came apart in his hands. They grew warmer and warmer as it happened, and he was quickly forced to drop them, but that wasn’t a problem; the Pokémon in front of him was floating. It hovered above his lap and looked between him and Muuma, blinking at staring at the both of them. A grin broke onto its face and it rose itself up to be at face level with Leon. ”Lit!” It bubbled happily, the purple flame on its head flickering. Muuma moved closer to it, eyes wide. It turned to her and giggled happily, floating in a circle around her. Leon could swear that her eyes were sparkling as she watched the baby.

”What are you?” He asked, though not particularly to the Pokémon itself. He’d never seen it before in his life. Not in a book, or online, or anything. It floated back to Leon and bobbled back and forth in front of him. ”A candle or something?” Leon muttered, and the Pokémon cried out again. Muuma and Leon exchanged a glance, and then Muuma was back at the newborn’s side, examining it.

So, okay, this thing was obviously a Fire-type, hence the fire on its head, and if it wasn’t floating, he would have assumed that was all it was. Maybe it was a Psychic-type, as well? It was a little too much to hope for it to be a Ghost-type. He wasn’t a Pokémon expert or anything, but he didn’t mind speculating a little. Still, he didn’t have much time to be sitting around trying to figure this out. He had a for-sure Ghost-type to go after, and he couldn’t stay in this cave much longer. He was tired and getting hungry.

The trainer stood and looked at the two Pokémon. ”Alright, little guy, you sticking with us?” He asked, to which it giggled and rose up to his height, flying around his head. Muuma shot Leon a look, astounded that he would even consider leaving it behind. He caught her gaze and let out a small laugh. ”If you want to keep an eye on it, be my guest!” He said, smiling at her. She floated up to the Litwick and nudged him forward a bit as Leon started walking away, and it happily followed.

The weight of the round, smooth object in Riza's arms felt very odd and alien and the raven haired girl had yet to rule out that it was an alien. Her dizziness faded and she took a deep breath, looking up as she heard a familiar voice approaching her. It seemed that Amy had come over to see if she was okay and she smiled. "Yeah, I'm okay, just a bit dizzy," she said. "Thanks." She allowed the younger girl to help her to her feet, managing to maintain a fairly solid hold on her newfound egg. Or, if it was her egg. It felt like it was hers, but at the same time, her mother had always told her if it seemed too good to be true, it probably was. She kept looking around expectantly as though someone was going to come running over to them and demand they give the eggs back. Nearby Diemia had started to pulverize the pavement with her heavy claws, angry that the battle had ended. Riza, not wanting any more damage done to the place recalled the impatient Crawdaunt as she turned back to her friend. "You think so?" she asked, now looking over at the redhead and Kasiya. A quick count told her that three random eggs had been delivered out of nowhere, and now that she thought about it, she realized Amy hadn't received one and she felt a pang of guilt.

She opened her mouth to say something, but she couldn't think of anything nice or reassuring so she just draped her free arm around her and they started walking back over to the other two girls. "Flora's looking really good," she commented, now spotting the cute little mouse Pokemon that had hatched out of Kasiya's egg and she resisted the urge to squeal. Still holding on to Amy she shuffled closer to get a good look, the fact that she was supposed to strongly dislike the blonde totally forgotten. "It's so cute," she commented. "What is it?" She knelt down for a closer look, suddenly aware of her own egg starting to move a whole lot. She stood up to her full height, now holding the wriggling, cracking egg out at arms length. "Oh my gosh, mine is hatching now, too!"

Taking a cue from Kilik, Katie had started to recall all of her Pokemon as well, though she stopped after putting Noa, Seraph and Nell back. She loved Genki's company and she was still too thrilled with Miles to put him away yet, and she knew Kord was very happy playing with his new hero. The orange haired girl smiled at Kilik, her annoyances for only a few moments ago already forgotten. "Thanks, Kilik. That means a lot." She looked over at the Floatzel who was punching the air and slashing an invisible opponent with his tail, seemingly testing his new strengths. Katie knew for sure that she'd have to give him a chance at the Veilstone Gym, since Gardenia's had been a bad choice for him.

She was actually just starting to look around for her backpack when Kilik called out to her and she looked over just in time to see Genki pull an egg out from inside. "What the hell?" the small girl demanded, stomping over toward the Monferno. "Genki, where did this come from?" she asked, but all the chimp could do was shrug as he held it up to her. He didn't know why but he felt oddly protective of it and he gave his trainer a rare glare as if to say 'be careful with that'. She looked back over to Kilik to ask him if he'd seen someone put that egg in there when she saw that he'd acquired an egg to, but his was already showing signs of cracking open. "Oh my goodness, Kilik, where did these come from?" she asked, pointing at the little gear Pokemon that had since hatched. She was now so focused on the gear Pokemon that she didn't see the large cracks starting to make their way down her egg, as well.
