"Yes, we definitely "spoke English just good," Sethrian said ironically. "After a second thought, perhaps there's a need for the worsheets after all. he had to admit they were boring though. But then, perhaps he was simply comparing English to his other classes, which genrally involved explosions and angry snow golems. By comparison, grammar worksheets were a little tame.

Logically, he should welcome the respite the normalcy of English brought. But somehow, it was actually a little boring.

"I doubt you are to blame, Renivere," Sethrian reassured her. Her english was odd, but not that difficult to undersatnd unless one didn't havee a brain. Then again, that did seem to encompass a large portion of the student body, from his perspective..."It seems Professor Novaire is later than usual today, though. Usually he is waiting for us, or arrives punctually..." He sighed. "I worry about the fact that I'm beginning to automatically assume tardiness is related to some sort of attack or other crisis.

Oh! Professor Novaire was here! That meant class would start soon. She listened to the teacher as he gave his excuses for tardiness. She blinked when he mentioned the counselor. Of course he would be visiting the counselor. He was in a disorganized state the last time she saw him. It's a good thing he's not bottling up whatever was eating him. Oh wait. They were just friends. Sure.

"Professor Novaire. Are you going to divide us into groups depending on the results of the test?" Renivere asked. She had to wonder if Kamil would be in the same group as her. She was confident with her written work and she was sure Sethrian was no idiot. She felt bad, but she worried about Kamil. He might be the only one who might actually... fail the test.

No! He will definitely pass! She will see to it and will help Kamil study! As a friend, it is her duty to look after him! Oh... but isn't that a mother's job?

"Perhaps we can arrange to have a study group to prepare," Sethrian said when he heard the slight tinge of panic in Kamil's voice. "It would be more efficient for everyone to review the material together." And that way, he and Renivere could hopefully ensure that at least some of thee basic grammatical rules were able to penetrate Kamil's fishy little brain. Perhaps they could find some kind of study method that actually helped him retain information since that seemed to be somewhat...difficult for him.

"Exactly how "soon" are we speaking? It would be useful to know how much time we have to prepare and study."

Well that was plenty of time to study for the test! But she wasn't sure how much Kamil could absorb so maybe it wasn't enough time. But Renivere would make sure she would use the best of her ability to help Kamil with his learning issues with English.

The teacher asked if there were anymore questions so Renivere just shook her head and stayed silent. The faster he could get the lecture done, the faster she and Sethrian can help Kamil get caught up with what he didn't know. She had to wonder if he managed to finish all the worksheets that Severin had given him.

He'll assume that they were all ready. "Well, I'll move on to the lecture today so we can get all of you started with today's assignment and hopefully you'll be able to study for the test." Severin said as he started to head for the board.

"So we already know the basic structure of a sentence. Now we'll be adding more to our knowledge. Today we'll be covering prepositional phrases. A preposition will always have a noun at the end of it and they are usually meant to add more information to a sentence." Severin started.

[Lecture time]

"Here are the worksheets for today. If you need any help, then you're free to ask for it." Severin said as he started to pass out the worksheets. When he finished, he obviously returned to his desk for the crossword puzzle that was waiting for him.

Sethrian gave Renivere a knowing look. "As I suspected," he said quietly. More worksheets. And prepositions. Ugh. Dull. At least their unit on grammar would be over soon. Even Hamlet would be better than this. Unless he made them read scenes in front of the class.

In which case, it would be horrible. And Sethrian would make every effort to use his fear ability to intimidate Severin into never calling on him, ever.

"May we work in pairs or groups?" he asked aloud.

Good work Kamil! You found the subject and the verb! Renivere smiled at Kamil. It was nice he was so excited. Hopefully he wouldn't take it to heart when Renivere broke it to him. In fact, she couldn't think of any English words that could break it to the merman gently. She probably would sound absolutely cruel, but her lack of English just made it so.

"Kamil..." Renivere said with a smile, hoping that a gentle smile would help him feel better. "You are wrong."

She wondered if she'd be able to explain the problem to him. She looked at Sethrian for help with explaining it to Kamil. If Kamil wasn't getting it, then Renivere would try to explain it but she had a feeling that it would just function to confuse Kamil even more.

((...!? EH? Where did she get the idea that Severin liked Suzanne!? O_O Because seeing Severin and Suzanne together seems impossible.
